With the roll out of the new check off lists, we now have the ability to know exactly which ones we’re missing. Unfortunately the numbering that Anet uses is different from what Dulfy uses.

The past couple days I ran through all of these on an alt account so I could match up what Anet has with what Dulfy has. Below are the links to her guides and attached are the conversion tables.

Update: I just got the achievement. It seems that you have indeed to not only destroy the catapults but also defeat the Centaur Boss before he reaches Nolan’s Homestead.

Okay. i updated gw2 wiki with your info.

BUT if Noran’s Homestead falls, the mission fails. I learned this the hard way.

My zerg killed Siegemaster Immelhooof but failed the defend Harvest Cascade mission.

Noran’s homestead fell to the white mantle.

I am super frustrated. This is not worth one master point. Not even close. It should be 2 or 3 mastery points.

I’ve participated twice in (failing) defense events up there. I’m not sure if it is more rare, or if there is some event-based trigger that makes it more likely (eg: killing, or failing to kill, some world boss, or something)

…but it runs, sometimes, and if succeeded should award completion. I’d suggest trying out more events, and looking specifically for the defense event, not liberation or other local events.

EDIT: and my patience was rewarded. after 1.5 hours hanging out, doing local stuff, we got an attack. focused on killing the boss, LFG-ed the thing, and it worked. I got the achievement complete.

So, not bugged, just painful to get done.

Oh, and learn from my mistake: don’t attack the siegemaster until he is OUT OF THE DANG CENTAUR COMPOUND!

Same here.

Many times getting events done – getting gold on those events but no completion of the achievement.

Bugged is a thing for this new story line…

Now we know why it was late – now we know that it wasn’t ready.

I have also been having troubles with getting this achievement. Have done Saidra’s Haven and New Loamhurst. I have spent the last 2 nights trying to get this done but it just won’t work. Harvest Cascades needs to be fixed so I can complete the achievement.

Liberating the area does not count for the achievement. You have to do the defend event where you keep them out and kill Centaur Irondude before he reaches the house.

In my case I’ve spent all day without having the Harvest Cascades event start. Every kitten time its Saidra’s Haven or New Loamhurst. I have YET to see Harvest Cascades.

This is still bugged, I can’t finish the achievement! Liberated Noran’s Homestead about thirty times now with the Seraph, but nothing happens…

Please help!

No problem with Saidra’s Haven or New Loamhurst. But I have stopped counting the many times I have already liberated Harvest Cascades from the White Mantle as well as the centaurs, yet I am not receiving the achievement.

I do not understand these threads. “My family and I have played thousands of hours, but we feel ‘cheated’ because the person who is joining now plays the core game for free or pays just the one fee for Heart of Thorns.”

Let’s consider another type of purchase, that of DVDs. FotR was $30 when it came out on DVD. You now can get all three chapters of LotR for less than $20. But the person who buys now lost years of viewing pleasure because he didn’t own the video at release. LotR is shown for free on television, but that doesn’t negate the value of purchasing the DVDs, for those of us who chose to make those purchases. Imagine showing up at a DVD retailer and saying, “This movie is now free. I want money off another title.”

The hours in Guild Wars 2 that your family has enjoyed—very likely the thousands of accumulated hours—are not without value. They are not, to us, without cost. The 40 major updates we have made to the game that you have been enjoying for three years each add significant value to your purchases: Wintersday festivals that a new player will never be able to attend, major in-game events they’ll never see, drops that were only available to you, as a veteran player, during a limited period.

The position in the first post has been put forth by different people and successfully dispelled time and time again. OP — Please know that we greatly appreciate your support. I encourage you to make whatever purchase decision is best for you and your family. But please never forget that all you have gotten for each of your purchases does have value, in the overall view of things.

Maybe can you rethink your strategy regarding the issue I mentioned above? I’m pretty sure 99,99% of the community will be forever thankful for reducing the amount of junk in our bags.

I didn’t know how to picture the issue in any other way, hope you got the point.

I very rarely do dungeons, so some things are over a year old and I have no clue which path was done. I would really like to know if I have done something or not.

Sanctum Sprint "late starter"

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Gwenryth.9450

The “late starter” function doesn’t work correct.
I think it should be removed because it isn’t necessary any longer, each sprinter has to wait anyway ’til 0:00 to get the daily achievement…

Sometimes I’m entering at 5+ minutes and it makes me a late starter.
I guess one is a late starter if he/she enters with a specific time distance after the last sprinter…
So fast sprinters are punished with getting no reward for getting in little late, and still have to wait 2+ minutes ‘til counter expired to get the daily achievement. Additional you have to move while waiting or you’ll be removed from Sanctum sprint…

Some of us are able to finish the sprint even when we get in late! And with multiple “light travels” one can catch up many positions…

Turn off kittenty FXAA, turn off post processing, turn of depth blur and install SweetFX.
