1. Will we be able to buy the standard edition or any edition Path of fire for gems at anytime?

3. what would i expect the gem cost to be? judging the HOT digital deluxe is 2800 gems I thought around that price but if anyone knows facts , doesnt hurt to ask
they need to work on the american ping issue they are apparently having before a cross between the us and eu servers happen , that’s the biggest issue about mixing the two , our US pings will not run the same with EU pings , us will see pings of like 143 and up to eu and vise versa that’s the reason. right now Me and apparently several others are seeing bad ping spikes in the us server.
reading your post , I would reinstall the driver all together, by uninstalling the current one rebooting and then installing a new driver , if that isn’t working check and monitor
your cpu and gpu temperatures, might be getting hot and nerfing the clock speeds to cool down , if that’s the case you have a cooling problem ,, not getting enough air
and/or if your running a AIO liquid cooler , check the radiator for dust and all that,
now if that’s not the issue , check and make sure your cpu overclock is still running @speed and you aren’t noticing any instabilities I’m not really an over clocker but that’s the next thing i would check. also a dieing harddrive or SSD will cause a fps drop too. lots of things to check and troubleshoot.
I been seeing this since the Sl patch, but it was strictly to sirens landing but now its all over the place, I monitored my ping which i didn’t see some of the spikes you all did in the short time I went out , and this was in metrica prinvince, orr, verdant brinks, etc my ping was going from 40 to 500 just randomly and it wasn’t just the meter misreading i could feel it in game, when i was doing the Sirens landing stuff , had significant high ping spikes where it was just unplayable, It makes me not want to pre order the expansion until its fixed , the servers aren’t responding well to something now they need to check the servers , as well as the code. also im on the US server and before my pings were running 45 to 89 max and sometimes 100 in LA.
@silvatar .. well I am not 100% sure it will be a second rev, but I avoided the meta for the reasons you specified, they are to specific and aimed around certain gear specs etc,, which I don’t have anything ascended for an example. I went ahead and made the new rev doesn’t mean Ill stick with it. thought about another warrior , or guardian but each have their own downfalls. I know I will not do another Necro, I don’t like depending on meat shields etc .
@behelah I had fun on a thief but as you said more a single target thing, trouble with HOT content and especially when you get into season 3 you always have a ton of mobs on you., and eles feel glassy to me. but then I never mastered an eles rotation ,

I have been away from GW2 for a bit, since early march and I am out of the loop on whats been changed , I like playing most content solo, with occasional (necessary) group things.
Since I also only have ran exotic gear ,, i see it as an opportunity to begin with a clean slate. So I’ll first be Leveling, then end game content (HOT, season3 etc) and working on ascended gear or whatever is the Best in slot now.
I’m leaning towards building another revenant , using the one i have since his armor and weapon smithing is maxed just for crafting only. I really just want to relearn the game the story, and enjoy the the rest too , in case you are wondering. but i need a good build to be as efficient as possible dong things by myself.
huh no Gw2 cache? thats odd , it should look like this. gw2cache-{buncha numbers and some letters looks like a install key} in your ‘%’temp ‘%’ (minus the apostrophes and spaces) Folder. if your on windows 8.1 or 10 though.. they may have changed where it is I dont know Im on 7.
the new patch was 1.2gb for me. considering Im on not the quickest bandwidth it still downloaded fine for me ,, only thing I can say is the same thing i been tell people babout FPS problems delete the GW2 cache in the windows temp folder and prefetch ,, in your case it might work since you client might be opening a pre-cached version.
@blude, might want add about that nvidia driver ,, it causes blue screens and the pcs to not startup after loading screen, people been having to safe mode to uninstall that driver ,,I was gonna update mine yesterday when it was released then I just so happene to read the issue and was like ooook Noooo,,,, Im glad they took that driver down .
that kind of sounds like the stutter bug issue. I developed this bug after upgrading my pc a few weeks ago, totally different hardware ,,, it caused a few issues for me,, they exist still off and on ,,, after rebooting clearing my windows prefetch and temp cache folders. it clears up some ,, but returns. to know if you have the stutter bug glidering is the best way to actually see it ,, it’ll jerk and seem like your character jitters the whole game does actually.
had this issue when i copied the data file over to my new harddrive , the data file is 25 plus GB in size ,,, you need at least a 32gb Flash USB drive to transfer this file. what I did was use an external harddrive instead. and what onevstheworld said is a good solution. its a matter because fat32 is what XP days or windows 98 Days file formats.
and people wonder why everyone is saying to avoid windows 10,,,, me included! I say it lol. disable automatic updates if your using windows 7 or 8 save your self the headache. microsoft will support 7 till 2021 so your fine on that ,, just without directX12 , on GW2 you dont need it anyway ,, on most games you dont need DX12 so yea. if you have your windows 7 install disc Itry to reinstall 7 after a back up of files. and go back to that windows 10 is full of trouble and privacy violations.
you got the stutter bug we been complaining about for weeks,,,,, i do havever have a possible solution for you for the FPS thing. if running windows 7 (Im on 7 so all can do to to tell you .
hit start on your desktop in the start menu search bar. type in ‘%’ temp ‘%’ (without the apostrophes or spaces ). open the temp folder find your GW2 cache ,,and delete , trust me its safe to delete. next youll need to be in administrator to do this but g to my computer —> windows --→ Prefetch , and just delete everything in there except readyboot. all this folder is is a giant storage or cache to store quick start points for programs ,,, no harm will be done,, just dont touch readyboot. as its a system folder.
are you guys running windows 7 ? if so i got an idea you can try, hit start , in the search bar in start menu type in ‘%’ Temp ‘%’ without the apostrohes or spaces (forums not letting me post the percent key otherwise) open that,,, delete the GW2 cache (youll see it) then after that,, and make sure your in admin mode but go to my computer ,, windows, find the prefetch folder and delete everything outta there except readyboot. I sometimes get this FPS bug and this fixes it.
I haven’t finished downloading the patch but the client is acting funny ,, however in game so far i don’t have that issue you guys are talking about ,,,yet. however i have a question ,, are you guys with the nvidia cards running the last driver nvidia put out a day ago? if so roll back to the previous driver the latest driver is causing blue screens gaming issues ,,, and other problems and this could be one of them. this driver was just put out so its pretty coincidental. I run a low end card as well ,a GT710 (New card this year yes but still low end). and using the january driver.
the driver Im speaking of thats causing the issues is Driver 364.47 WHQL.
and Im not saying this your issue but might look into that as well
I’m having to run windowed mode to do dailies in un-ranked pvp Ive no idea about ranked pvp yet might try it ,,, but it does help in un-ranked however to my disadvantage because i hate not adjusting my gamma to my liking, also I still have the stutter in open world and in HOT content. however I’m sure they are working on it, as it can effect business but I mean, as much as I get one little line of code either in the client or server side can be a pain in the … to dissect, come on, anet , I have had faith in ya to let us know something. like a report, a dev to a forum mod or something. don’t slouch on the informative side of things, it takes two seconds to tell someone your working on it. and then a minute to post that message on here, were asking nicely . SEE…..
I think I might be suffering from this bug as well. I have micro stutters in Open world, it is not so bad in unranked conquest, but the ping in LA for example is seeming high and my FPS is dropping to like 12 to 8 FPS at times. I am also noticing a Sound stutter very momentarily. I just had installed some upgrades to my pc, I was on XP (yeah yeah jokes can come in) but switched to 7 64 bit and got a newer Graphics card powersupply and harddrive was like what the **** why is my performance worse???? but now ,I’m seeing a familiar sounding issue happening to a lot of people. hope a fix is figured out, I love GW2 would like to be able to play without my ocd kicking in about the stutters
