Looks like it won’t even take till Monday for FA to take the lead back
Can we get an update? I’ve sometimes seen people do a bug where their legendary weapon’s effect applies even while they have another weapon equipped as long as it is in their second switch set. Can we just make the aura an official permanent thing even with bundles or a second set?

Looking for NA as well
Almost done. Can’t believe I only got 26 clovers out of 100 shards. Have the precursor and the other 2 gifts.
Any NA servers open? Yak’s is closed

They should change fractal weapons as well. Getting a fractal staff on a warrior is not fun at all.
“Here’s what we believe: If someone wants to play for a thousand hours to get an item that is so rare that other players can’t realistically acquire it, that rare item should be differentiated by its visual appearance and rarity alone, not by being more powerful than everything else in the game. Otherwise, your MMO becomes all about grinding to get the best gear. We don’t make grindy games — we leave the grind to other MMOs.”
-Mike Obrien, President of Arenanet
Fun impacts loot collection. The rarest items in the game are not more powerful than other items, so you don’t need them to be the best. The rarest items have unique looks to help your character feel that sense of accomplishment, but it’s not required to play the game. We don’t need to make mandatory gear treadmills, we make all of it optional, so those who find it fun to chase this prestigious gear can do so, but those who don’t are just as powerful and get to have fun too.”

I hope the level cap gets raised to 90 as well.
From GW2 manifesto
“Because, like Guild Wars before it, GW2 doesn’t fall into the traps of traditional MMORPGs. It doesn’t suck your life away and force you onto a grinding treadmill; it doesn’t make you spend hours preparing to have fun rather than just having fun;”
Screw me for believing this amirite?
Sad, but i have faith in Anet that they wont drop the ball completly on this one and introduce something that makes crafting worth it.
Ahahahhahahaha. I had faith that Anet would follow their manifesto too. Look where that went.
What they should do is institute a flat recipe of a precursor using primarily icy runestones. That way, the prices of other materials aren’t affected and at least you know how much more your precursor will cost.
Right now I’m very near to having everything I need for my legendary.
Except one thing.
THE PRECURSOR…Sofar I’ve reforged 216 l76+ EXOtic Shortbows, and nothing.
And this is really putting me off playing the game and working my way to my legendary. It’s already very hard to earn decent gold in the game (yes there is the TP, but there’s no fun in that tbh).
I’d rather work myself to getting a precursor instead of throwing a kittenload of gold at somebody who lucked it out… (no, working myself to 300+g is NOT fun)
Couldn’t we just have some unique bosses that drop the precursors or some thing, similarly to GW1??
(also sorry for the weird title, apparently it was 52 characters long and the max is 50)
Another one of those I need a recipe thread? Tunnel Vision on the precursor.
You know what happens if Anet makes a sure fire way to get a precursor? Did you really think about it before making the OP? If Anet give you sure fire way to get a precursor more people will have them right? Cool happy happy joy joy. Now 8 people just got their guaranteed precursor. They need charged lodestone. There inst 800 charged lodestones on the TP. Price for charged lodestones goes way up (higher than they are now) then you come to forums and ask for a direct way to get charged lodestones.
Or, the recipe could use icy runestones as the base. Icy runestones sell for a flat 1g per from a merchant. Peg the recipe around the average price of precursors, so 150g for 1h and 300g for 2h. Tada, prices for other things don’t skyrocket.
The most important thing is a sense of progress. Your rng towards 77 clovers has tangible progress after every clover. The precursor is a lump sum, so there is no sense of progress regardless of how many you dump into the forge. At least if your precursor costs xxx in materials you know that you are making progress.
There is an easy way to fix crafting. Make the gifts needed for legendaries tradeable, so people crafting can pony up the 10g for the recipe and make money back on selling it.
You know what was fun? The first two weeks of Guild Wars 2. I didn’t realize this game would turn into Diablo 3 so quickly.
Actually that is a great idea. Weapons with effects should have a check box for their effects. However, I’m not sure if they have to do additional coding for non effects. Should be easy enough. If not, just implement always on for those weapons since a huge part of their appeal is the effects.
Is path 3 completion still the fastest even with the hole in wall patched?
Glad to hear you enjoyed the run. I’ll try that path next. My pug and I finished path 3 earlier (took 3 hours?). If you do that path, you will learn to hate Risen Illusion and Mages. So many of them in tight corridors.
Which path was this?
These two sets of items look incredible. Not only is the base skin well designed, but the special effects that accompany them are very appropriate to their weapons and only add to the list of reasons why they are some of the most desirable weapons in the game. With that said, would it be possible for them to be changed in that their effects are on even when sheathed? They effects have already been created and the weapons lack the same feeling and look when put away, unlike the illusion weapon skins like the reaver of the mists or vision of the mists. I feel this is an important characteristic of the weapons that shouldn’t be obscured.
