Any possibility to have an option to launch wiki by right clicking on an item in our inventory and selecting a go to wiki option?
Yes I understand you can type /wiki <description> which will launch the wiki site.
I challenge anyone to type in /wiki SCRAP 80-T Alchemic Regression Dual-Utility Inter-Nodal Operator and get it right first time!
I don’t know about anyone else but I am really enjoying the Nightmare Challenge Mode.
It reminds me of when Hard Mode in Guild Wars 1 was introduced.
I would really love to see a challenge mode for every tier and every level in that tier.
Here is a snippet of maddoctors post regarding what we dealt with in GW1 and might add some interesting game play to GW2:
The hardest part in GW1 were the mobs before the boss, in almost all the dungeons. Reaching the end boss was the hard part, not the actual boss fights, and in trash mob fights there were far more important to deal with than damage (good pulls, focus fire on healers etc)
The fights in GW1 didn’t last 5+ minutes because mobs (not only bosses) weren’t damage sponges, instead they had proper builds and healing capabilities. A lot of the bosses (and the trash mobs) had healing/defensive capabilities.
So what does everyone think, firstly, on adding a challenge mode for each level, and secondly, add some of the above game play to GW2? (how I would love to see trash mobs with proper builds).
I second this. Please make it a sticky!

Please can we have a cut and paste option on the chat window
I am in the same boat here. I don’t understand how to unlock these basic items.
For me to make a Simple Table I need a Basic Table. And I don’t understand how to unlock this.
This is the message: Unlock : Upgrade or Capacity requirements not met to purchase this decoration.
I would assume though, that you shouldn’t have to buy it but rather create it using a schematic?
To fix this, go to the Hall of Monuments reward calculator site and enter in on of your character names.
Try do it when you are not in a party. It crashed for me when I was in one but as soon as I left it worked.
KaosNinja, change it when you are not in a party. Seems to work for me.
Same here! And all of my guildies too.
Hello,
Please can we have a larger UI scale. Running on a 4k monitor at 3840*2160 the graphics look stunning, however everything else is very small and hard to read.
Thanks,
You think 280 people are delivering coffee to those 20?
actually, with this game.. sometimes i do think that…

Stopped reading at this point.
so much upvote, not even funny…
we’re in season 2 now, an improved season 1.. so anyone who has been around knows what to expect for the next couple of months.. it’s ultimately arena net’s decision to follow with a season 3 or an expansion.. sadly, i’ve been on since launch and i commend all the improvements living world has accomplished.. but i’m not overly enthusiastic about delving into this season.. i do notice an increase in open world LFG, so i can only assume new players are enjoying the content.. as for this tired and undead thread, which is so original it has us facedesking.. gw2 offering niche mmo features will not determine whether or not it brings back players or retains new ones.. there’s a dynamic of depth and complexity which drives successful mmos.. it’s something arena net needs to drastically improve on {whether future installments include an expansion or a season 3} if they intend to perpetuate a hearty congregation of players
cheshirefox I think you have hit the nail on the head with this. I recently put a post up regarding being slightly disillusioned with the business model anet have got.
High level simple terms…
The game is built for casual players, funds are based on micro transactions, in my opinion hard core gamers spend hard earned cash on gems, not the casual players.
So how does that business model make sense.
Why on earth these guys are not doing both I don’t know. Give us some hard core content, keep the living story going and release a few new skills. One skill for each profession cleverly done introduces opportunities for new builds and combinations. Satisfy casual and hard core gamers.
And by the way, anyone out there that has run a business knows full well that radio silence is marketing suicide. Every top MMO announces content releases…apart from GW2.
IMHO I think there is something bigger going on. What that is I don’t know but its very unusual for a global company to keep so very quiet.
p.s. I am finding it increasingly amusing that every GW2 Tuesday release there seems to be a Wildstar release. And yeah…Wildstar announces what’s coming!
How about a small bag of jelly beans on top of a small piece steak.
So much talk about expansion vs 2 week releases.
What I would like to see is them combining the two.
Release the small Dry Top map with 3 extra skills per profession or a new weapon for each profession. Or…
Release Dry top, with an extra fractal map, branch the lore with an extra dungeon, add 3 new skills.
Options are endless.
Best of both worlds for casuals and hard core gamers?
P.S. As for any more Mario Bros style jumping in this next release …
Just to be clear, I am a total GW fanboy, that being GW1 and GW2. So this post isn’t about me wanting to move on or quit. This post is about the current GW2 business model which I am finding hard to fathom.
A business model with gamers (users/customers) is there to achieve two things, firstly get new gamers in and secondly to retain gamers.
The business model is not pay to play, it’s based on micro transactions, which is, selling gems to buy in game content thus making the money needed.
I can understand the pull for new gamers, it must be hell of exciting getting a copy of GW2, having all of these races and classes and going for it.
What I cannot understand is how the business model caters for the long serving (3k + hours) customers. The acknowledgement that content now needs to remain (story book) is there for replay-ability but is it also there to keep us long serving 14 lvl 80 character gamers happy so we can redo it 14 times?
Maybe I am old school and I need to change my thinking, meaning that this game is purely for the casual, and another MMO is something I should play while waiting for bi-weekly (fortnightly) releases. Ironic as I am playing Wildstar which costs me £8.99 a month which is a lot less than what I used to spend on GW2.
I used to spend money on gems. That has stopped unfortunately. There is only so many armour’s, drums, mining picks, fluffy pets you can buy before it becomes a bit tired. And yes I spent money on gems because I would like to contribute to the development and progression of the game. As well as look good.
So right now I am slightly disillusioned. I think it would be unfair on me to say that every month we will only get 8-10 hours of content. I would be a bit flummoxed if that was the case.
But not adding new races/classes or new weapons to different classes to me is a mega miss from a business perspective. Imagine the money you would make out of customers by releasing more character types and character progression. The money that I would spend in the gem store!
Like I mentioned above, I am not going to disappear, but I will be spending a lot less time in game. Maybe log in every two weeks, unlock the story, sign off and then in 6 months log in and do it all at once. It might seem bigger and a bit more rewarding doing it that way.
So casual gamers, I get you. New players I get you too. Long term hard core players, am I making any sense? Or am I, just as the title says, disillusioned and I need to get back in my box?

Not to sure I agree entirely with both Stormcrow and Maris.
Take fractals for example, if you combine all 4 dungeons you gain a smallish GW1 dungeon and I think the rewards are ok.
If we have a 6 hour 10 man team dungeon in GW2 then why not offer say 40 T6 mats, an ascended weapon and say a 2% chance for a precursor? What I am trying to say is that there is potential to reward players without messing with the TP.
As for pugs, I agree with Harper. Pugs are pugs and will always be pugs.
The important thing for me is that we are missing the intensity of a hard, full scale, 10 man team, no respawning dungeon. I really don’t like how you can respawn after a wipe in the current dungeons. It removes an important playing quality being survivability.
Scenario:
12 man team have been in Urgoz for 5 hours, its been intense getting to the 2nd last part. You now have to enter the room where aatax spawn and give you a right roasting. You run in, go hell for leather, they keep spawning, 12 people over teamspeak are calling their next moves, tactics, get stuck in…..then all of a sudden a massive AOE spike hits, 9 of us go down, insta death…..3 left….1 tanks like MAD, the other ele goes down in a heap caused by an aatax paw swipe….the tank holds on, he eventually goes down….
but wait…..Barry the Monk with rebirth is alive….and high tails it away, dodging, jumping, looking for a safe spot….the other 11 members on TS are shouting encouragement….sweating…..he has found a spot…..breathe….
Slowly but surely Barry makes it back to the others, some careful ressing, tactics….start again……
Survivability!
That, to me, is what is missing…even to this day our guild brings up these episodes with a huge amount of fondness.
Cmon Anet…..stop pandering to the casual minority and lets start thinking of your hard core gaming majority! Bring back some teeth grinding, extra hard collaborative content.
Search for Guild Wars 2 and you get one result back. Classic!
Urgoz when it first came out.
30-45 minutes to build the 12 man team.
6 1/2 hours to get to the last section.
Mega wipe!
Rage Quit!
Awesome. Bring it all back please.
They did this in GW1 and it worked like a dream.
The issue now is people changing traits before each boss in a dungeon.
All I hear on TS now is….WAIT…..changing traits….. WAIT…. changing again.
:)
Just found this on Dulfy.
Note: Characters created before April 15 Feature Patch only need to unlock Grandmaster XIII traits for each character. However, characters created after the April 15 Feature Patch will need to unlock every single one of their traits either via gold or the unlocking methods below.
Thanks Nage and Kaz.

Odd, as I started a new character and as soon as I hit level 30 all the adept and master traits were unlocked? So are you saying if you already have a class at level 80, you start a new character in the same class and they will already be unlocked?
So after the April feature pack we get to unlock 5 grandmaster traits per class.
But why not let us unlock all the traits for every class? Just as we do major events to unlock the grandmaster traits, we could do minor events to open the minor traits?
Surely that will add a bit more excitement during each 6 levels to get a trait point.

Hello,
If I use my Royal Terrace Pass, then go to the portal in the Terrace and choose LA it takes me to the ruins of LA. Not to the Vigil keep. So right now to get to Vigil I need to go to LA and then WP to Vigil.
Shouldn’t the portal in the Terrace go to Vigil still?
Thanks,
