Did it on my zerk war, thought it was fine, did die a fair few times but it was fun just continuing to keep going at it.

Felt good for once to take something on completely by myself, as opposed to having NPC’s around helping me out.

I think they should make it harder, like insanely harder, they should put in some more pvp, some weird tricky meta achievements that require nothing short of your blood, sweat and tears to get.

I mean come on chaps…it’s all about the journey.. not the sweet sweet candy dangling at the end of the rope leading to the van. Am I right or am I right?

Personally, in my serious and much important opinion, the final part of obtaining the legendary should be a wvwvw map which all three factions can easy get into and grief you by camping spots. Your weapon has to be raised out of a stone which is placed in the centre of the most insane jumping puzzle known to man…and then you have to hold the position for 60 seconds in super saiyan mode as wave after wave of fellow legendary go getters, enemies, friends, quaggans…probably the anet dev team as well, try to kill you for a prestigious mini pet….no wait…a 0.001% chance of getting a prestigious minipet.

Friends become enemies, enemies become friends, and right at the end if you survive you obliterate everyone and stand victorious over a sea of bloody corpses.

Gentlemen…I’ve fixed the problem, we can go home now.

Dungeon is way too hard.

Couldn’t get past the ooze bit, we had a pretty nice pug, lots of talking, but there were moments where one side would get 2 enemy ooze and the other 5, or our friendly ooze died from an accident, or some dude gets ooze ganked.

Kinda made me not want to play the game, so decided this path isn’t for me : (

I hate all of you guys. (The players)

Their message is they want gvg, their rage is over 9000…and their so…angry…can’t…look…directly…at…them…(blinded by super nova of rage)

It’s almost like a WvW zerg, and that anet dev is one dude at the door looking down at a horde of angry enemy world combatants hellbent on destroying him, his door, and his poodle.

I genuinely feel bad for him. Not his poodle though…she had it coming.

Bunch of whining kids who think they are entitled to everything , nothing has changed. G v G ruins wvw for others and the spots taken by the guilds couldve been used by others to attack the enemies cohesively.

Exactly.

I don’t see what the dev did wrong, you ARE ruining his game mode. Players there should be there for wvw. Its one thing to play the game how you want, and another thing to deprive other players the opportunity to play the game as it was intended.

No. I think its perfect the way it is because:

a) the high price makes it hard to get, there SHOULD be things like this in the game that are hard to get. it would also be unfair to those who have already spent the money on this set.

b) being rare means more money is needed to spec it out. good! let it be expensive to walk around in this, it supposed to be prestigious.

leave it alone plz

If it's a matter of money...

I think they are watching themselves, it would be easy of them to put some amazing armor skins into the gem store, but that might upset people who want the coolest looking things in the game to be obtained by hard work / commitment and effort.

Not a fan of black lion/consortium chests myself, but I can see why the RNG is needed, it helps with the games economy because the harder-to-get stuff will be more expensive. In theory it’s a win-win situation. Get monnies in IRL, improve the in-game economy. In practice … lotta pissed off people.

Last word. Every penny I spend on gems on the gem store I think of myself not only as getting something for myself, but also supporting GW2’s future. And that sirs, is priceless.

MF Gear in Dungeons Contribute less get more

I concur after playing these dungeons I don’t think MF decked characters are the epidemic we think they are on these forums. Common sense dictates that in order to survive harder difficulties one must invest in gear that will help to survive.

So must think wisely to get that sweet loot.

Also isn’t it possible to wear MF Gear before looting chest?

I guess the acid test is that if the new MF changes result in people having an even worse time in dungeons then they are having currently, its not good.

Otherwise if the rewards are so ossum that no one cares about the extra 10 minutes spend ploughing away at the bosses life at a slower pace, then alls well the ends well.

you’re dungeons practically (brutally) punish players from running MF gear.

And its an even bigger punishment on squishies.

I foresee whole groups of people running MF, to “make the most” of their time in the dungeon. I mean, why would anyone risk not having the highest MF possible to obtain ossum new loot?

And just zerg/dying and having a horrible time of it.

I’m sure you were expecting this question, but

what is happening to the reward we usually get on completing the dungeon.?

especially the 60 tokens and 1.8k karma, going from 60 to just 9 would be … making rewards worse not better.

Thank you xarog for putting into words what I keep thinking every time I play dungeons.

And that thing you said about, 0 hits to 2 hits … dude I feel ya.

Good luck, I hope someone from anet takes a serious look at your dungeon notes.

dungeon books - like gw1

Bring them back?

For example, instead of farming 1 path over and over you get better gold/reward for handing in a completed dungeon book (all paths all dungeons = one completed book). Perhaps hand them in for tokens of your choice.

Yay or nay ?

Disheartened pve woes

in Elementalist

I know there’s been a lot of threads already regarding issues and opinions of the elementalist class, this is just another summation of my experiences, in the hopes that perhaps someone else reads this and can vouch for what I will say.

So why am I (and so many others on this particular forum) disheartened by the elementalist? First of all lets start at the very beginning, I think a lot of us who want to play the elementalist have a certain frame of mind, we’re familiar with gw1’s ele, parhaps some other clothier type mage classes from other games. There are certain expectations surrounding this particular type of class. ie. damage output, and to be honest yes ok – the elementalist can pull out a lot of damage – that’s not the problem, its just the way its done, and how much we have to go through to obtain it compared to others …… this is the disheartning thing. I’ll explain further.

Example, been level 80 for quite a bit, skipped some dungeons, done a few in story and explorable … i have died 242 times during the course, my guardian, warrior, mesmer and thief friends have died less than 100…. the guardian has ran dungeons over and over in explorable to farm tokens… so that being said these guys have done a lot more than me, yet ive just killed the end boss and racked up over twice as many deaths…now you may say that im a terrible player but picture this.. im in a dungeon with 5 players, there#s a damage area circle on the floor

a) i realise this, but before i know it my health is more than half gone
b) i can no longer take any hit from anything else – oh wait – i’ve just been hit by the one guy near me. im dead…again…
c) you could say that i should have put defences up, but even something like the armors take time to put on, and by the time you’ve switched and hit the skills (assuming u dont have the reflexes of a god like most people) – your dead.

I just think that a lot of us playing elementalist did not go into this class thinking it was going to be a complete click and dodge fest….JUST to kill “normal” type mobs (not even dungeon mobs) that other classes can kill with a few clicks….yet here we are running in circles (im dizzy half the time), repeatedly dying (almost any time there’s an unpredictable situation other classes are able to take an initial hit and react – where as we end up on the floor for our lives)

Which brings me back to the high damage, what is the point in having it if i cant even stand still for a few seconds to cast some of these spells? I feel like im forced to dodge and react to every. little. thing….or else im dead. Yes I understand we are a squishy class, but i feel like im playing half this game dead in dungeons or story mode missions where there’s things happening fast. The ele just doesnt give me time to react, im dead before i can make a decision.

Anyway after all that, just rolled a warrior, i can now take on two or three guys with gs with ease -__-, press 1 and 2, no need to dodge, or switch two elements just to put up a defense and heal / slow / move around, and do even more damage…. can even take two or three at the same time.

I just hate to see a type of class that i normally love playing, be so frustrating and unrewarding to play, it is physically tiring to play this class (most people dont even switch weapon sets, yet we rely on switching between four elements)

anyway TLDR; cant complain about damage output, exhausting amount of running about and dodging, too much death, comparatively more clicking to achieve what other classes do with ease, no time to react to unpredictable things.

Apologies in advance for my ramblings. I realize that the forums are often the voice of the few, and not the voice of the many, I sincerely hope i’m wrong and for now i’ll play another class whilst I either work this out, or something is done about something that I’ve said here that is very real and very bad about this class.
