That reminds me of a question I forgot to ask. Is vent a requirement to use all the time or is it used mainly for dungeons and stuff? I’m not opposed to using it for dungeons and the like, but I’ve never been one for using it for just playing around.
Hello. I have been looking for a friendly active guild to do dungeon runs and other world events with. I like to WvW every now and then too. It seems like you guys are the kind of people I have been looking for. Let me know what I need to do for an invite. Thanks.
Maybe instead of creating a new weapon they could give an alternate to our spirit weapon: make the bow useable (like ele’s) after hitting the key again. To compensate for taking away the destroying option it could be added to when the life of the weapon is up. Just my $.02
I’m at work atm but will do when I get home. Maybe a screenshot will prove my ability to over-look things.
Ya I figured I couldn’t change in the heat of battle but I had never seen the arrows when outside of battle either.
I’m pretty sure I’m high enough, unless there’s something that changes after you hit 77. Thank you everybody for all the help.
Yes, I’m aware of the hero panel to change skills I was just wondering about the ability to change more on the fly while not in combat. Maybe I didn’t leave my mouse over the skills long enough but from what I’ve seen from videos and whatnot, the arrows were constantly there.
Ok I swear I have researched this (and maybe I shouldn’t have to) but I can’t find the answer anywhere. How do you get the arrows to show up above the utility skills to change them quicker? I have double checked my settings and looked at my skill bar and tried putting my mouse over everything to see if there was a pop-up menu or something but I can’t find it. Thanks for the help.
Guardians don’t even have a way of putting on vulnerability, except for Chains of Light which is kind of useless.
If you trait for it in Radiance, Blind Exposure creates vulnerability when blinded.
From my experience, having between high 14k – 16k is decent. Any more than that and you’re either wasting traits or runes that could be best utilized else where. Having high hp is only really good for dealing with conditions, which we already have a counter to anyway.
I use staff to gain might before the battle and sword/mace with a torch.
I use the mace if I fight harder opponents from which I need blocks. If it’s easier mobs, I just use the sword for the teleport.
It probably takes longer to kill than with the GS or hammer, but I can survive “almost” any situations.
Also, I’m built around burning with additional dmg on burning foes. I always trigger Virtue of courage before each new mob as it recharges on kill (Virtue traits). It also applies blind and vulnerability. Quite helpful actually
I think the virtue you are referring to is Virtue of Justice, and to get it to recharge on kills you need to trait it on the Radiance line.
…That is the point of this topic. I somehow managed to get 25 stacks of might using just my greatsword.
Even if you used all Boon Duration items/gear/traits, you’d get at most 10 seconds of Might from Empowering Might, and that’s at best 10 stacks with it’s cooldown.
So you either managed to hit 25 targets with Wrathful Strike, or _Shelter_ed (but you’re using Signet) 25 attacks with Might of the Protector in 2 seconds, or there was an Elementalist passing nearby.
Maybe with Staff and crits/EM you can get near 25, but Shelter heal doesn’t give Might….
It does when you spec Might of the Protector
I wasn’t stacking for healing power at all.
Oh yes the lovely PEMDAS….I knew I had to be making a mistake somewhere. Thanks for the clarification.
I know my math skills aren’t all that great, so that’s what a calcuator is for. According to wiki, with AH the formula is “At level 80, the amount healed per boon is 69 + 0.01 * Healing Power”. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Altruistic_Healing
I have a build that has a healing power of 200. So if my math is right and if I’m reading the text right, I should be healing for 13,802 PER boon applied? Anybody care to correct or confirm? And just an added note: the build I’m referring to is on a creator I did, not on actual gameplay…yet.
I have a feeling there are more people that stick around when the ones recruiting are more authentic, gives the prospective an idea if they would fit in or not. I for one know I’m a tad on the white jacket side
The first word that came to mind when I started thinking of reasons was: Yoda. Looks kinda like an Asuran too XD
Awesome thanks! Not going to hold on to my stacks anymore XD
Ok this is going to sounds stupid, but where do you give people the candy corn? I never saw anything or knew we could give it away for other things.
Congrats on your well earned victory!
Try this, maybe it’ll answer some of your questions. Hope it helps.
I’m just wondering what in the world they could do in Act 4 to outdo smacking the Mad King around….lol. I Waited years for that opportunity I was not disappointed
Revenge is so sweet! muahahahahaha
I'm actually in shock over how much effort was put into this event

I loved the Halloween content, so far, as well. I think it’s awesome to be running around the world and “knock” on a door to get a ToT bag. I haven’t done the tower and haven’t been able to do the new Mad King dungeon yet, but from what I hear they’re lots of fun and I can’t wait to do it. I don’t think ANet employees are getting enough props for all their hard work for a game that is free to play every month. Keep up the good work everybody! Happy gamer here thanks you!
It would be nice to know if it was a computer issue or a server issue for both me and ANet; I’m pretty sure they’re tired of hearing from me :-)
I think there’s a lot of people that would like to know. Bump!
I have pretty limited time to play (with some very off peak hours) and what time I get is often interrupted by kids, but I’d like to maximize the fun I have when I do get to play by being part of something great.
I’m usually on around 9-11 am and 12-2AM PST. Playing multiple characters on Ehmrey Bay because I like them all and can’t decide, but think I’m sticking with an engineer for now (lvl 21). Also have a 23 Guardian and 17 Mesmer (who I’ll probably just use for PvP).
Right now I’m focusing on PvE to get leveled up, but interested in WvW and dungeons when I get there.
I’m in the same boat as you. I have been looking for a guild to join for a while as well. Good luck to you.
I’m in the same boat as you are. Can’t sell or buy anything. TP seems to go down (for me) every time there’s an update. Would be nice to know if there’s something that can be done on our end or if it’s a bug that needs fixing.
@Draeka
I completely agree with you. Too many people complaining about what was changed insetad of trying to figure out how to change their game plan or understand how other mechanics work. Definitely think there should be a sticky created dedicated to the new GS gameplay.
If you could properly quote, you might be right. They never said they don’t care what you have to say. I do believe what they said was, “No one cares about your necromancer problems…” And how did defending your ego over a game forum turn into a governmental debate?
Wow you’re a parent talking like you are? And you’re going off calling other people childish? Maybe you should give yourself a time-out, cool off, and take another look at people’s responses before responding with emotion.
I have found a bunch of peppers in the starter charr area using second to lowest harvesting tool (can’t remember exact level). I got about 4 within 30 min to 1 hour. Wasn’t using a high level char, I think around 23 to be exact.
