Shortbow and rifle are the ones who need more love. Both are used only by 2 professions, and aren’t optimal either.
Any scholar could use a shortbow, and is not hard to imagine a revenant using one. An Ele with a rifle wouldn’t be so farfetched, a Necro could be really cool.
I agree. I actually hoped that thieves would be getting a rifle and be like a deadly sniper. Short bow on Necro would be cool.
I know the short bow has its uses for thieves as their secondary weapon, but shouldn’t more classes be able to use this weapon?
Maybe for a future elite specialization?
I was kind of surprised that it wasn’t given any profession when HoT came out. I mean 7 out of the 9 professions can now use staff but short bow is still limited only to 2 professions.
Any thoughts?
Just patched now and having the same problem.
It’s really annoying when switching to a different game mode.
This has never happened before. Please fix this.

mine wasn’t resetting after this was address but with the new patch update that I got this morning (daily reset) even my general options was reset again. Please fix this.
There was already a post on this.
They still havent addressed this and it’s getting really frustrating having to set everything, everytime I log in.
Also I don’t think the devs mind these forums as they have only replied to posts on reddit.
This is getting really annoying.

Probably explains why the newer (new wvw boderlands, pvp maps and maguums maps) maps don’t have bodies of water. Devs probably have a lot on their plate with giving us new content, but as an old player spending another $50 for the expansion and not being able to do old content with the new skills and professions, its pretty disappointing.

Its sad. They should just remove underwater combat and make the weapons land weapons. Like the speargun would be now be usable as a rifle.

Just wondering why most of the new utility skills don’t work underwater.
I have gotten an invite and I am very happy! I would just like to know if the “Create Beta Character button” will appear even if I have no more character slots available, and if the character will remain on my account after the test. Thank you very much!
It just annoys me because this would apparently lesson the 4 vs 5 scenario. this has happened to me twice already. It really is getting annoying.
I noticed that even since the September 2014 patch, everytime I log in my finisher goes back to the default one. So I have to set it every time I log in. Am I doing something wrong?

They should give us a bow. Long or short. That would be awesome. Sadly, I don’t think adding more weapon choices for professions is a priority to them. I’d personally like to see a bow rather than a revamp of old living stories.
The strength in numbers trait was recently increased from +70 toughness to +150 but it still says +70 while in combat. my stats do go up to +150 though it is bothersome. thanks
Everytime I go in the dungeon the game crashes. Sometimes i get to move a bit inside then it just hangs then exits the game. I can’t finish the final mission and I don’t know what to do. I will also attach the pop up that comes out when the game crashes. I’ve tried going in the dungeon several times and still not working. I am running on a Mac but out of all my friends I’m the only one with this problem.
