Guild Wars 2

Got a email from Anet asking me to give them some feed back on the cursed shore event. And the Link didn’t work so I through Id put up my thoughts on it here.

Anyways, I throught it was really really bad. I enjoyed the Halloween event soo much more. Nothing was over powered to the point of death after death. I found on my warrior in the new zone of cursed shore. Nothing like the the spirit of giant crabs that smash your face in. So I tried some events, thinking maybe this isn’t bad. I’m just doing it wrong?

Did the avoid the underground worms and get metal gears for some asuran dude. One shot event time, couldnt help anyone else in down state, unless I wants more of a repair bill. In the end I was fed up with the whole zone, got abused by otheir players since. Apparently you need to spent 15 gold to buy a set of toughness gear to even do the zone?

Stupid me, I through you could be in any gear to do anything since gear isn’t meant to mean allot. Apparently from the look, oops silly me shouldn’t have listened to all those youtube videos from Anet. About that topic….

From that Zone I didnt even bother trying to do the dungeons. So I spent my time doing the dragon in frostgorge sound. Nothing like a good old dragon fight. Before logging of disappointed in this amazing one time event.

I really loved this game in Beta weekend one. Best Mmo I have ever played. but after that you seemed to have changed too much. Its just another MMo nothing really great or new, just a better spin on Rift. Thats all my throughs I loved my thief but that sucks hard core for Pve.

But thats just my through’s on this event. But I’m sure going to get flamed for even speaking out.

The positive this about this game, I love charr, the first start zones are fun but it losses it edge by the end. Kinda feels like someone got sick to death of trying to come up with something new. Its just a rinse repeat. Im not event going to touch Wvw and Pvp with a 10 foot pole. Umm yea Hated Cured shore. But um I think, Im getting to old for Mmos and the effort you need to just get any where. Puzzle they are only made for small characters. Another bummer.

My biggest problem with this WHOLE dungeon scaling and stuff.
Most players cant even complete a dungeon on explore mode. Let alone communicate in a civil manner. And no offence ArenaNet but this is going to exclude allot of players that are not, up to this task. I through you aim was for everyone to enjoy the game and get to see the high end content? This pretty much gives them the finger, that they cant get the better drops. Its being very exclusive… Which is making me worry about, when you add new content. Aka new dungeons to the game that are permanent in the future.

Well I have a Problem with my account linking, my normal GW2 account is a diffrent account to my GW1. When I logged in as my Gw1 account, I coulnt change it to be the same as my GW2 account info. I need help plz. My gw1 account I cant link it to my account because my email is already in use. They seem to be 2 diffrent accounts.

I’m writing this post today to tell you a few things about your game. I really enjoyed the Beta weekends, the first one being the best. I was looking forward for the game to go live and finally have the time to sit down and really have the Guild Wars 2 experience.

Its been well over a month, since that first three day headstart. I’m level 80 and now scratching my head. What to do next? Is the constant question on my mind. But then it hits me, I would like to have the Flame Legion gear. Cant have that because my once a day run for Magg, (if i get one) is bugged. A real game killer there. Ok lets do Wvw!! No wait. I just run in and die because someone as full exotics. Then I remember watching a video from Arena net saying. Hey guys!!! gear doesn’t matter in our game!!. OH WAIT it does matter. A real let down, I was hoping Gear would be a LOOK not a “I win button” in Wvw or you need it just to complete a Dungeon.

Farming

Now farming, that’s something that was also meant to be a thing of the Past for MMo gaming right? You told us we didn’t need to farm, but crafting was going to a challenge. Its not a Challenge its a Farm fest, money hungry monster. Along with repairs, porting, Salvage kits and pretty much every single thing you do in Guild Wars 2 is going to cost you. Hell I cant get the coin I need to spend. I barely make 1g a day. And most of that gets spent on deaths. I also am starting to wonder.

This game is more PVP then PVE. Why? Because you get more a reward being head Stomped by 50 plays then by a Mob out in the world. Yes farming Karma at events is MEANT to be fun. But after 1 to 80 and beyond you start to wonder why am I doing this? Plus your need more then yourself in a Zone to do soo. Major flaw if everyone is doing Wvw or just not in the zone.

Then there is the TP, I stopped selling Items on it. Why you ask? because I spent more on items from the TP then selling items for a few measly copper on top of spending more to put the thing up in the first place. And YES the Bot and gold farmers are ruling the Tp so there is no way. I and other player are going to have anything. Let alone buy the parts for Legendary weapons.

On that note I would like to thank ArenaNet for posting that first Legendary weapon forging for all us to see and know. We will never have one. Because really? that’s what it feels like give the dog a bone then not give it to him. Yes it takes allot to make and I’m fine with that, but the main part to make it. I don’t think I’ll ever see it. Let alone have the coin to buy it from the TP.

Honestly I am really starting to think, Why did I buy this game? It feel like I have just voted for government again, just another guy in uniform giving me false since of hope in humanity that things are going to get better and our troops are coming home and the war is over.

That’s how I feel, just really let down. I loved the game you did well. But you really let yourself down in the end. I just hope, everything gets fixed and it no longer is a farm, grind fest. Oh well, at-least you made your money back because that’s all it feels like. No care in the world for a gamer voicing out.

Still no HOM ether after 36 days or more. All that work and getting friends to play Gw1 and GW2 was a waste of time and effort.

P.s if posters are going to Troll me. Plz dont. I’m having my opinion.

I dont know, but I still cant use my HOM, I guessing its because my GW1 account is now @ncsoft and not my email address.

Im just over the amount of money you need to even run a dungeon, story mode or not. You just don’t get enough with events and lets face it heart quests are only a 1 timer. Each boss you down and its loot chest, dont even cover repairs. I lost 50 silver yesterday, and its putting me off dungeons all together because I cant afford to do them. REALLY I dont care of your in exotic gear it still cost way too much. That by the end you dont even want to port anywhere cose its going to cost you 4 silver.
