Tome Change ideas

Been wanting to make this kind of suggestion for tomes for ages, but thankfully you guys already have it on your mind! Basically, I’m very much in favour of the original post suggestions, although the passive of the Signet (pbAoE heal) would concern me, as I would think it would be difficult to get a sweet spot between totally underwhelming and stupidly OP. In which case, maybe a different passive effect altogether would be better. If you felt it could be balanced to be useful, it sounds good though.

The only other thought I had been having with Guardian tomes, is that I REALLY like the idea of them, but to even consider using them as they are (5 replacement weapon skills), they would have to be like engineer kits – cooldown on individual component skills only, and otherwise being able to replace your 5 weapon skills, while keeping utilities and possibly virtues on the bar.

(P.S. If you ever have it in your heart to remake Norn racial skills, please let them be engineer kit-style forms, they are weak anyway, but it would deepen the experience to be able to transform into a spirit animal form at will!)

Really psyched that you are paying attention to the vast amount of unused Guardian skills, as I really want to main Guardian for life, but was finding the updates/revamps very underwhelming for a long time. Hopeful with HoT!

EDIT: What about using the passive of the signet to pulse AoE weakness on like 3s duration to 5 targets every 10s while in combat? Something that is providing incoming damage reduction passively, instead of healing damage already done?

Also with the elite shout (fury and quickness), cooldown could be in the range of 60s or something akin to Warriors elite signet? Just thoughts….

so about Mystic Clovers...

I would give the 10-recipe a try. I got my clovers with it in less than the supposed amount that it would require.

There is a lot of risk-vs-reward discussion on clovers, but I don’t think the risk is big enough not to try the 10 recipe:
1. You could save a LOT of money and effort.
2. If you go over the average, chances are you won’t go THAT far over.
3. Every time you do get 10, you’re a good bit further along to the 77.
4. If your recipe fails, you will probably get stuff you need anyway for other parts.

Only thing I would say is, if you’re going to use the 10 method, do it in batches of 30 at least, it’ll make it seem more progressive.

I really hope this doesn’t mean spirit weapons have a health bar and will therefore be totally useless. Destroy on command unless traited is a pretty heavy price anyway i would have thought. Not that I use them much atm other than shield of the avenger. Still, I’m wondering what the source of inspiration for this was?

Orichalcum Spikes: Patch Notes Leak?

It’s what Unspecified said.
I saw the patch notes, read fast for anything of financial implication and bought orichalcum as a result. Many others did the same, as the price went up 40 copper in the time it took me to physically buy mine.

Are you only talking to the NPC? I had heard about this before and when I reached I got this error from the NPC. Although moving to the back of the catapult and using action to get in, I got it working fine.

Seconded about the hammer skill 5. Particularly I noticed in the last room of Detha’s path in AC, silver level ascalonians were able to walk in and out of the ring.

Did all your party move up close to the middle trap pillar? I know it’s a simple question but Detha must follow you and be in a fairly close proximity to the trap for her to trigger.

This is pretty much essential, there is not much point in buying any high-end gear when you can’t really see what it is! Maybe some cheap exotics for transmuting to a skin you already found, but that’s about it. Can’t be hard to put in a left click option for those items surely when they already have it in chat.

Ascalonian Tears Amount Bugged

I have been slowly making my way towards a Ghastly Weapon from the Ascalonian Catacombs, but it is becoming increasingly common for me to receive 20 Tears instead of 30 Tears for each explorable mode run.

All the chests are providing 5 tears each, which is fine. The final pop-up reward however, sometimes gives 15 and other times gives 5. I can’t see any particular pattern to it, but it is kind of annoying…

Apart from racial weapons, there doesnt seem to be any point to buy 63k skins. Just buy lower level versions and transmute with the stones you get free from clearing areas.

Waypoint Costs

There are far, far too many money sinks in this game.

This is the truth. Even normally you are having to pour a bit of money into new gear as you level, and a hefty amount into crafting. Armor repair costs are understandable as a sink. Waypoints on top, especially with costly prices, are a bit too much I think. There are plenty of things to have to buy in the game (gear, accessories, trait tomes, crafting ingredients, repairs).

Dungeons are quite hard

Back in the beta weekends I would have agreed that dungeons on explorable were too difficult, but now I think it hits a nice balance. It won’t be appropriate to just dive in and have a go chaotically. My main experience is with Ascalonian Catacombs, I have so far completed 2 of 3 paths relatively without hassle. Once you see what goes on in each area, you just need to plan what to do. It might take 2 or 3 tries, but it is well-doable.

The only thing I did notice, gravelings seem to sometimes have a permanent knockdown skill of some sort. I’m not sure when it hits, but all of a sudden, I’ll be on the floor and not get up for well over 3 seconds. I do wonder if this is a bug, as it just doesn’t appear on every run through (I’ve completed it about 5 times now).

Missing Armor Rewards from Personal Storyline?

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Chaion.8341

So, I’m playing a Norn Guardian and I have got to the Level 70 ‘Defend Fort Trinity’ part. In previous parts of the story, I had been getting armor pieces as a reward each time. I decided to go through taking all the ‘Mending’ pieces (helmet, cuirass, gauntlets, etc), but it seems as though I have never received a leg-piece for the set. I have everything else except it. I did notice that I later got a choice of plateskirts from 3 types, but they were all plain skinned items matching nothing.

Is this anyone else has experienced, or am I just going to get it further in?

I have fallen victim to this also. Set in 5 buy orders for stacks of 250 items at 75silver per stack and they hadn’t bought. This morning I removed the buy orders, but my money is totally gone. Incredibly annoying to lose all the money I have made.

Also I have some runes up for sale, I am hoping the money/items don’t disappear there.
