1. Take a look at TTK, removing toughness amulets and just leaving it at that was a mistake. TTK is so fast your commentators couldn’t even comment on your “pro” league live streams. They got cut off the fights were over so fast. It’s 1 shot someone to get 1 shot then watch that guy get 1 shot while dead. Boring to play. Boring to watch.

2. Look into underused traits and weapons. Having 1, sometimes 2 ways to build and play a character is boring. It’s reaper mania right now but I’m not enjoying my reaper, why? I don’t play condition and don’t like condition. I like my greatsword and power, and both kinda suck right now.

3. Look into mobility. Some classes are ridiculously mobile while some have very few options.

4. Look into traits for survival. Especially guardian. This ties in with the 1 build 1 way to play. Ranger has more ways than a GUARDIAN to gain protection. Dodging. Getting hit. Stone Spirit (I know, who uses this? but it’s there.) Guards can…shout and thats about it.

5. you removed toughness amulets because people were too tanky, now they’re too damagey. Now remove damage amulets? Lets us pvp naked?

I’ve been getting the same thing. It’s frustrating, crash once or twice every meta and have to pray I can get back into the stupid map.

And I’m running an i7 6700k @4ghz
16gigs ram
4gb geforce gtx 960

Unhappy/Confused about Matchmaking

all I know is condition damage is out of control in pvp, so I stopped playing. When conditions start doing more than power burst attacks, like 5.9k burning instantly, and you’re dead in literally 3 seconds because toughness has no effect on conditions, I’m just done.

So MMR aside, the population issue, at least from people I know is dropping due to the stupidly short TTK and insanely overpowered conditions at the moment. There aren’t enough condi cleanses to handle multiple condi builds, even just two, hitting you at once.

My friends and I started GW2 and did nothing but PvP, we’ve slowly migrated to pve or just…quit in most of my friend’s cases. With BDO out there now, we’ll see even more population drop. Anet, please work on the TTK, this is an MMO not CSGO. People dying before an esports commentator can even COMMENTATE is not how it’s supposed to work.

Changes to Amulets for Season 2

Used to love sPvP in this game. When I first started playing my friends and I did like 75% spvp, and the rest the PvE game. Used to make youtube videos and guides, and now I don’t even play sPvP.

The meta has migrated so heavily to be like the PvE meta where everyone builds zerker and just mashes their face on the keyboard. Counterplay has become “wait until your teammate gets one shot, then one shot the person who one shot them.” It isn’t PvE though and you can only counter and dodge so much from players who act much much MUCH faster than NPCs who attack like snails in recognizable patterns.

The removal of toughness amulets was stupid, as toughness wasn’t even that effective against power and crit damage, and not effective AT ALL against conditions.

In the end, it’s not my game, it’s anets, but from someone who’s been PvPing since UO, it’s stale, boring, and makes me not even want to play right now. And definitely dont want to WATCH it, which is bad for any MLG plans.

You’re going to need more than some “minor” pvp balance changes to make pvp in this game any fun. The TTK in this game is ridiculous. People die in less than 2 seconds half the time. It’s no fun to play, and it’s DEFINITELY no fun to -watch- which is what you want for esports.

Any chance you guys will ever take a look at necromancer pets and make them more….fun? It’s like you just stuck them on a utility, made some (really bad) models, and named their auto attacks.

With HoT you really put some awesome ranger pets in with some really neat animations like the wyvern and smoke skale. Yet necro pets still look terrible and just auto attack. The bone minions more just…headbutt things…slowly.

I may never have a chance to ask the creature designer guys this again. Even if you dont ask it on the show, PLEASE just bring it up. They’re SO …SO bad. There are so many cool undead in the game, please get rid of these cartoony looking things that look like they belong on scooby doo.

Also please do what you did for guardian with reaper. The greatsword skills need to be rearranged. 5 needs to be 3, 3 need to be 4, and 4 needs to be 5.

Theif auto attack does far too much damage now. Theres a video of one topping the damage charts in a raid simply pressing 1. In pvp they’re just mowing people down with their auto attack.

The change to smite condition and contemplation of purity was awesome, especially the second, really overdue.

The small buffs to necro, especially condi were nice, however the Greatsword for reaper still remains …meh. Poopy animations and mediocre damage, dagger still outdoes it, and it’s supposed to be the “elite” spec weapon.

Nerf to chrono overdue, but they’re still insanely strong.

Scrapper nerf to stealth gyro might have been a bit harsh, the CD on their hammer skills could still stand to go up.
