I apologise if that post was perceived as a dig. It wasn’t meant as such. I ma rather hungover and struggling to elucidate properly. I was mainly just trying to say that everyone wants to be happy in their respective homes (new or otherwise) and I hope that happens.

Regarding the comments about showing new people what wvw is all about – bit of a sweeping assumption :p some of us are fully aware of what it’s about already.

There is a bit of a “them and us” scenario occurring on Gandara. Speaking as someone who moved recently. A common theme seems to be that the PUGS aren’t as skilled etc. There is possibly some truth in that statement however there is also an element of learning how differ enter commanders work for these PUGS.So it’s a bit of a 2 way street that will require some patience. Gandara is a very friendly community however I do sense some tension…Unfortunately that will likely require some management/understanding. The worry is that alienation, fracturing and drama would follow. That would be a pity as Gandara clearly has a strong happy community who would like to keep it that way. As well as the ‘immigrant’ community also wanting to be in a happy strong community where they are contributing. Sending from phone is bad.

I enjoyed that. Hmm, when in downed state youre zoomed out pretty far. I never seem to be able to zoom out much when im downed. Have I missed a setting in options?

Looking to get in touch with a Necromancer from the above guild. Fought him a few times during our last round v Gandara. Was a toughy. Wanted to pick his brains

Cool thx for the input. Im guessing that build with the gear you suggest is pretty bursty. How is its survivability? I currently have 2 sets of armour ive been working with: knights & carrion. Hadnt thought about Zerk/Valk though due to (assumed) survivability issues. The carrion set ive obv been trying full condition. That being said I still dont feel very tanky. Would zerk/valk be worse or is it a case of burning them b4 they burn you?

Ok, so I just dinged 80 on my necro. I tend to spend my time exclusively in wvw. My main is an engie which I generally roam and occassionally assist the zerg with. Anyways im struggling to find a roaming build for the necro. I get the impression from the forums that this perhaps isnt the easiest thing? Anyways, any roaming necros out there that could give me advice I would be much obliged. I think the biggest behavioural stumbling block is the lack of hard cc and gtfo options. My engie is a roadblock versus the zerg. Where as necro feels like a speed bump…or roadkill

Just wanted to give a mention to Dius. After a running battle and subsequent wipe at Arah supply camp yesterday evening they allowed me to get pretty much in amomgst them to Res my big Charr engineer buddy. Thanks for that, good spirit & much respect.

Why is apothecary gear synergising with ranger builds. Is it reliant on specific traits being used and or abilities? If so which? Excuse my lack of understanding, still trying to figure out my ranger.

This thread seems to be engendering some bitterness. For what its worth veil bombing isn’t a specifically AG tactic. You’ll find it being done all over the shop. In our previous evolution s we were subject to that and many other tactics. From my personal perspective I found that you get used to and prepare for…in anticipation. Just like portal bombs. Perhaps try the same back? I dunno. For what its worth voice comms ftw. Dunno to what extent your pugs are encouraged to use? As regards individual prowess both servers have some awesome players. They particularly stand out when not fotm classes. FSP has some outstanding rangers for example. Even had convos with some and would like to speak to more. So if you were that ranger at heroes lodge yesterday afternoon back n forth being chased for a bit by an asura engie gimmie a shout…want to pick your brain

Awesome fights for me on FSP pretty much all day. I guess culminating in the epic Bay assaults/defences. Takes two(three?) to tango so props to all sides for making spectacular carnage

Fun things you can do number 42: Pull them out of their zerg then punt them into your own Zerg. Yea its kinda cool. I often use it at close range as a general knockdown also.

Oh dear what haz I started! I was really just saying that im enjoying my engie immensly. Always something to do. Yes perhaps there are surer ways to achieve certain outcomes but I haven’t found any that are quite as hilarious…especially when it goes wrong.My especially fun ridden activity is running into the Zergs back lines planting big ole bomb while hiding under shield 5.Once BoB has gone off I start running towards our frontline detonating shield 4, knocking moar folks over with FT 3 and then “emptying my pockets” to try and get away. TOTAL carnage and sometimes I even get away. This is one of many varieties of horseplay available. Bouncing and burning thieves left right and centre is also a fond pastime Tl; Dr – I have fun

Mmm, having played many other classes to 80 pretty much exclusively in wvwvw I find the engie to be very versatile. Yes roaming is awesome. ZERG is fun times also. I dont run grenades.

Engie is tooo much fun. There isnt any situation where I find icant contribute in WvW. Thats my experience and just wanted to chime in as a pro bagotrix enthusiast. I also never seem to be mashing 2 buttons for win. Hmm, that is all. Kk thx bye.

I play an engi and have also fought against engies on previous toons. Also witnessed this behaviour. It was kinda what made me continue levelling my engie(curiosity). However I’ve still no idea what causrs it. Never managed to replicate it on my engie. I dont think anyways. I usuallly an focusing on trying to stay alive at that syage.

Fun fights. Though the sheer size of the current JS zerg after a certain time coupled with culling means I have to log off as its unplayable. Shame as ive been enjoying this matchup.

And KISS… ofc Argh almost forgot teh big deadguy…Juves. Only person that can type KILL THEM! While conducting a blood bath.

Awesome festive week. Thankyou all for the absoloute carnage. An amazing opportunity to battle test my new main, a warrior by teh name of Grimm Bane. Big ups to a particular engie from JS iirc. However I haz 2 words “Kraag Deadsoul”…nuff said. Not forgoing the stirling efforts from all the commanders on AG, Trip, Adda, Grekk, Elvik…to name a few. Forgive me if I’ve missed any You know who you are! I guess above all thx to our opposition, without whom this wouldnt have been possible. Kudos & For great justice !!

So ive just dinged 50 and im looking to do a little wv3. Up until now ive avoided it on this toon. All the builds ive found seem to be end game oriented. The altruistic healing build for example. Any ideas on how I should build for the time being?
