Another quick addition, it doesnt neccessarly have to be Orr, it could be defending the Queen and her castle from invasion so back to queensdale, the ideas are infinite !

I was reading a post earlier and I was inspired to suggest this idea, a call to arms to Orr, a Super Dynamic event that involves the entire sever.

We all have to pitch various resources to a NPC and it tracks your contributation across the server, once we reach the goal we will go to war and be rewarded base on how much we contributed…..How we attain these rosources could be left to the developers discretion to prevent people from just buying their way to a Gold medal but I see it taking around a few weeks to complete and the reward would be worth it !

If you are offline then you can get mailed your reward although to be fair there could be a 24 hour countdown once all the material has been collected to give awareness as to when you could log in to receive your reward and there you go one mega super community dynamic event which leads us to one big zerg into Orr to wipe out the Undead and create another possible super dynamic which will keep the feeling of progression alive for everyone. War…war….war!

P.S the resources could be towards Weapons of destruction and seige units, a epic chain of events that could take months to complete!

I know there are plans in motion to help this but I was thinking this might help, in our home instance or major cities whatever works better for developers…..A portal created by a Asura rift that teleports you to a random place in the world with a mission to help Tyria….taking it a step further, we could make it so the portal opens once an hour so there will be a party of team mates waiting so it encourages group play hopefully with a champion waiting at the end of the event! The reward could be Karma, experience and silver with loot

A great idea but most likely wont happen, the amount of coding involved in that would be the deterrent

Wish there was a call to arms I agree I find myself alone, especially when its a group dynamic where your fighting a champion mob, it would be nice if you could hire allies from your order. * Vigil, Priory or Whispers *

In addition any plans to scale difficulty if you engage such mobs by yourself?

Has anyone been able to accomplish this? To solo a Champion “group” event.

In Orr at times I am really frustrated and lonesome because no one is around to help everyone is off doing their own thing and it seems the closest guy near me wont even answer ( maybe a bot ).

Are there any plans to hire Seraphs or Faction friends from the Priory, whispers or Vigil respectivly to help you out? I have to get revenge on that big Giant lol.

I think Rytlock has the edge with that fiery sword

They have fought several times and its never been decisive. Rytlocks advantage in attack is countered by Logan’s strong defensive skills. They are very closely matched.

They have never gotten to finish a fight. They always tend to get interupted either by enemies, authorities or snappy player characters.

So in fairness, who do you think would win if you had to coin toss it.

OP your post will be understood by the open minded community who has a respect and understanding for the privilege it is to play such an excellent game with no monthly fee.

Regardless of the flaws which will eventually be fixed the sheer joy I have playing with my friends is amazing and I usually prefer NOT to play alone its just better with friends. I usually log off after 2 hours playing solo but hey I love being on vent and sharing experiences and laughs with the boys.

The ones that wont are self entitlted eliteist that will never be happy untill they can be the star of their own MMOPG.

Ive read the lore and as much as these heroes hate each other I can’t help but to wonder who would win in a battle to the end.

Rytlock:

Pros- * Has Ruriks legendary sword Sohothin
* Vastly stronger and larger in size

Cons- * Behemoth of a size can render him slow compared to an agile human
* Stubborn and Careless could make him lose a battle of witts and tactics vs
Logan.

Logan:

Pros- * His love for the queen makes him stronger and more dangerous
* A brilliant strategist using necessary tactics to defeat powerful foes
* Veteran soilder who is dangerous with the blade, fast and strong.

Cons- * Very emotionally unstable when the Queen is mentioned or involved
* Not as strong as Rytlock so if he loses his blade he will be hurt by the mellee

The parrot is my new best friend in the game lol, but you need all 6 runes for that bonus.

On the plus side I love the parrot that you summon when you get the full set

maybe a developer can comment on this.

The major rune of the pirate ( exotic level 60 ) armor upgrades have a 4 peice bonus that chance on hit to yell Yarrr and give might to your team. Currently my Sylvari elementalist is saying " For great justice " instead.

I would be lying if I told you that the pirate sound yarr wasn’t the main reason I bought the set lol.

I Just have a question on the game design, as a Hero with Sword and Shield or a Mage with Energy armors of all types ect, are we suppose to be getting 1 shotted by elites in dungeon runs? I really feel underpowered and weak being insta gibbed by that ruffian bandit thug or that elite hound…..How is it im taking 3-4 shots from a normal cave troll whos strength is vastly superior to a bandit thug and being 1 shotted by the latter.

Im just trying to make sense as I emerge myself into the world and role Im playing and it really just reminds me of other MMO’s ( Wow ) where just because theres a golden dragon or symbol above their name they are in God mode, just really throws my game off.

A sense of realism is appreciated and if a human bandit can one shot me then im sure a big jungle troll could do a whole lot worse…..just sayin

If that is the case let her try and walk with her mouse by holding the left and right buttons. Frankly I think it is awesome that she wants to try it again given how frustrated and confused she must have felt.

Yea tell me about it, all my buddys were running dungeons and I had to " sit that one out " to help her, shes not a slow person at all its just shes trying to get into it cause since this game came out the crew has stopped coming out as much cause were to busy playing lol so she wanted in. I think il get her to practice on her own but I thought I could expediate the process if I was there.

Hi guys, so a close friend of mine has shown interest in GW2, she came over and brought her PC to play beside me and man was It a scary experience.

Shes never played an MMO and really wants to get into it but she started getting flustered and frustrated from trying to learn how to move, lol yep it was such fail the camera was being scattered and it felt like I was teaching someone a foreign language.

She wants to come over again and play but I know its gonna frustrate her and me. Has anyone gone through this before? Does it get better? If so any advice to help teach her the basics of moving around and skills, shes a cool girl but maybe its the fact I dont have much patience lol.

It would be nice to mess around or entertain the idea of having a lower cooldown on teleport or the earth shield duration on elementalists so its not a slaughter fest in dungeon runs as well. I know we slip and slide and we must dodge but once you blow your endurance which at times you must from chain attacks you are left vulnerable untill you get some back.
Any suggestions?

10-4 guys I appreciate the feed back guys, sometimes you need to hear the opinion of your fellow man to make sense of things I never considered that those groups may have had a caster class already. I will try starting the group and see how that fares.

I am not level 80, reaching out to the casuals here believe me im acheing for some time off to join the ranks, I hope its different at level 80, im 45 now and maybe its a gear check but not class friendly my friend.

Hi there, My name is Johnny and I work the average 9-5 monday to friday and I love the drive home knowing I have GW2 waiting for me. Before you jump to any conclusion prematurley evaluating my level of skill as a player, I would like to say I am exceptional but no where near the level of professional game players. Im so grateful to be a part of this MMO and I am simply stunned and overwhelmed from GW2 so far that I sometimes sit back and just smile. Now to my concern at hand, I just started playing with dungeon groups for AC runs and as an Elementalist Im having a hard time finding a group to begin with.

I can quote several LFG emotes in general chat stating No elementalists plz, or Need Warrior or Gaurdian only.

I find this depressing because I just want to play! I have been booted out of groups simply because I am an elementalist I kid you not. I love my elementalist and I know they need a bit of work but that does not stop me from trying to play the game!.

Can you help a casual player out by re-evaluating the balance of elementalist in groups? Ive been made to feel like a black sheep and its not fun. Im not asking for a overpowering buff but just to simply honor the system in place which promotes diverse group play that destroys the holy trinity.

I do not do as much dps as other classes to defend my spot in groups, in addition I do not have the survivabilty of the heavy armor classes which is understandable but something has to be given in place to justify my position in a group. The paragidm shift has simply been unveiled in a paralell universe where there still are classes being recruited based on profession.

TLDR: People are spamming for Gaurdians or Warriors in LFG for Dungeons and it makes me feel that my elementalist is unbalanced because I have been ignored many times when dungeon recruiters find out my profession and they rarely reply once they find out.
