Op if you look at how long Guild Wars went before GW2 come along there is a couple of years yet

Well this is the 1st time Ive entered the forums in about a year I ust to put in a min of 5 hrs a day after work and 10 hrs on weekends I would buy gems if I wanted something off the TP that I couldn’t be bothered to grind out the gold for..

I was lucky to get a HoT beta key drop the last time I played (in its self tells you how long Ive been away)

Now to the point GW2 lost its driving force in theory not increasing the level cap or gear seems like a good idea in reality the level cap is the 1st mile stone you look to get to the second is maxing out your toons gear and professions, Last but by no means least I did not like what I saw when I was playing the HoT beta all 3 of these combined stopped me playing, if the dev’s are saying they need more resources then they only have them selfs of there predecessors to blame.

To the OP dev’s will always need more resources… but they never tell you what they need, resources can mean any number of things money / man power / time / imagination so you need to stop begging on behalf of a group of people that earn more in a week than you earn in a month.

So am I right in thinking no 1 objects to reducing the timer of afk’s just my reason’s

If this is the case maybe just maybe some 1 will read it who needs to.

@ Shadey Dancer like I said 10 or 15 mins is enough, tbh 5 mins is enough to have a Huge kitten, after that you are doing something else hence afk and no need to be in a map blocking active players playing with active players.!

And it may or may not scale the event but! what it dose do is move active players to ressing inactive players hence making the event alot harder.

edit:- Either way in my mind the DC timer needs to be reduced dramatically.

Is there really any reason why it should be 30 mins to 1 hr?

@Elden Arnaas why should active players be forced to play with no active considering there is a map size?

This is your view after only 120 hrs ive been playing for over 3k hrs and I took a break of a year so some players will be on 6k and still enjoying it gw2 is a strange place that you can enjoy all if you chose or non.

The last bit of your post is your answer its not a game to be hardcore in its a game to enjoy at your leisure.

IF! you want the best gear ect you will need to work at it a little. Or non if you want to buy it with gold / buying gems, and in turn that keeps the game going for other players.

I did notice that you didn’t put WvW maybe what your looking for is there, if your not on server that dose alot of wvw sorry! as for gvg that is also in wvw but you will need to look for it your self and find a guild on your server that dose it.

Like I said after only 120 hrs your just starting out in the game and maybe even change server a time or too b4 you find a place that fills your needs

So in SW and DT Iam noticing lots of people afk not just for 1 or 2 mins for a toilet break but 20 30 mins whole events passing them buy and yet they are still scaling the events.

Now with the insight of HoT and how event orientated it is and the way that events scale, I am asking that the disconnect timer be reduced dramatically to 15 or even 10 mins, so as to open up map space in active areas so that we all get a better HoT experience throughout the expansion.

Not sure if this is a bug but while fighting this legendary boss it kept vanishing / going invisible 3

So for the 1st 2hrs I didnt realise you have to click on the tick to activate the masters you wanted to train…
So I’ve just done that and I’am running around looking for a glider because your hint says “Gain access to a glider so you can glide like a squirrel”.

Now if it wasn’t for the fact that I just happened to see some 1 jumping off the cliff at the 1st wp and flying away I would still be looking for this mystery glider.
In my mind this description would be better suited saying something like “Gain experience so you can glide like a squirrel”

I so glad I didn’t go for mushroom lore or I would have been jumping on a mushroom for 2 hours.

Once again random dc from the game how is it possible to be disconnected from the dam server when every thing else is fin I am always on ts and never drop from that so my Inet is sound please sort this dam problem out.

still happening to me only started about 3 weeks ago and just wont go away I have followed all steps on other pages and still nothing stops it.

Seems like it was a tea break and no 1 put the sign on the front of the door (Please come back in 5 mins)

I mean come on you can at least tell people that your them a bank holiday in the middle of the week.

The main point to them I have found and only now is to get emp fragments I can get about 150 200 in an hour on each toon that up to 80

I have also started getting this error code about 2 hrs ago as soon as I went to frostgorge Iam lucky to get between 2 WP’s before I get kicked in addition to this I closed the game down and restarted and got this error code 48:1000:7006:1231

I had the same problem when the new skinns come out a few days ago took 24 hrs for it to go back to normall

Just found this old post as I was curious and any 1 found any Ascended gear or weapons from JP chests?

Ahhh sorry I was under the impression that all open world chests dropped empyreal fragments beacuse for me this is the only 1 that hasn’t. Also gw2wiki states they drop from chests in open world.

I have how ever found https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Certain-JP-s-Not-Awarding-Empyreal-Fragments/first#post2800077 and alot of the chests in this page thats listed seem to drop them now so maybe its just 1 thats been forgotten about and needs addressing?

Not sure if this is a bug or just an oversight but I am farming chests then remember about the chest at the top of the mini jp with the vista on in the bottom sw corner of malchors leap In my mind 1 of the hardest vistas to get to but no empyreal fragments come out of it.

PS if the devs do decide to put fragments in to it I would suggest putting 15 20 or players just wont try to get to it 1. because of how far out it is 2. because of the jp you have to do to get to it.

You open 2 BLC both have a mini super spider you can use 1 to your account wardrobe and the other and any more sit in your inventory or bank until you destroy them. Risen Priest of Balthazar from orr karma chests. And gear and weapons is just from leveling lots of alts.

I am getting a few double ups now, and I am just wondering why there isn’t a vendor value on them? Its something that we put time effort or real money in to buying from the store, and yet you get nothing in return if you get more than 1.

Why are you not reducing the amount of ppl from each server that can enter a wvw map to stop the horid skill lag?

Why are you not sorting out the main problems with wvw?

Why are you still letting ppl transfer to high pop servers?

Why are you letting new players join high pop servers?

just a note to the poster i had to buy zap 100g more i. it was 400 / 450 its now 500 / 550. you said you dont want to grind any more wtf all mats are 100% more expensive apart from mith and silk get down to t2 grinding soft wood is the highest ive ever seen it its not much of an effort of chop a tree and get 7 / 8s

ok so i looked at items sold and it took me a good 1min to load (sold) stuff, Do you realy need to keep things that you have sold on record for a year i realise its kept server side but is ther a chance that this type pf info DL all the time is a drain on a failing system, by failing i mean lagging. What would happen if 1million gw2 launch players all pressed items sold at the same time? Bought is the same why do i want to know what i bought a year ago i dont the most i want to look back is 1mth at tops tbh normally 2 days or a few hrs to save me typing / running back to the back to right click bank inventory.

My point as i have already said is it possible that when alot of ppl are TPing useing items bought/ sold is it slowing gw2 down and creating more lag throughout?

ok my point was just proven in deso splinter fen there was ppl from all worlds, deso is a high pop server you shouldnt be able to guest here its stopping the pop of deso playing with other deso inhabitants iam only saying deso beacuse that where iam from i think the other high pop servers are haveign the same issue and i realy think you need to look in2 to this as devs. By all means guest from high to low pop servers but not the other way round

no iam looking at guesting right! Veltoss it stops ppl from said server joining there own server this has been the case for a while now but this event has increased the need to control it, i do agree on lo pop servers allow ppl to guest, but why guest on high pop servers iam still in OF 1 hr after the teq event ended ill stay hear untill i get a eta on how to get to deso splinter coast. I as a resedent of deso should be able to join my own pve server zone, i think most will agree

iam now expermenting to see how long it takes me to get to deso splinter coast ive not moved from the starter topic so atm 34 mins

i realy think its about time you think about kicking guests from said world / said zone when a world event is happening ppl from that world should get priority all i get atm on desolation is overflow that means 1 or 2 things 1 every 1 in deso is on that map so you need to increase the amount of ppl that said map can hold or 2 that its full of guests and these ppl need to be kicked as a member of said world joins.

so let me point out this is frac related.

so i get the LFG tool today good stuff no more alt tabing ect 2 clicks and done brilliant untill you find a group of ppl in LFG looking to do lvl 18 frac beacuse 1 of them can open it and the other 3 only have the ar and 0 or no experance past lvl 10, On the giant zone i said dont kill the marked target what happens 3 kill it. failed frac on path 2 as to say.

What i would like to see now is a roll back to where you have to lvl by lvl to get higher, you now have the tool in game to allow ppl from different servers to match up and lvl at all different lvls.The boosting need has now been taken away with your LFG tool so please Please PLEASE stop people boosting off the backs of others, Or at the very least make it so they can only jump 3 lvls infront, in that i mean some 1 who has never been in frac and do 1 —3 3--6 6—9 that way you said pug has spent at least some time in said lvl zone i.e 1—10 11—20 ect. Ragther than what it is, some 1 that has never been in frac can join a lvl 10 20 30 40 group of pugs and have to be carried, i was going to put expect but i dont think thats the case.

ok so i set aside today to do most of sab. At 7 am I started trib mode world 1, by 10 am i had completed zone 1, 2 hrs ok i started zone 2 and couldn’t get past lava rock for a couple of reasons:- 1st and foremost I had to move away from the comp as I felt sick with the lava gfx and at some points I started to go dizzy. After 2 hrs I gave in.

12noon I started world 2 zone 1 infantile mode. Its now 5pm I am on the last boss that I can’t hit beacuse I was meant to get some sort of ranged wep. I am guessing, I had to spend an hour in infantile world 1 (balls) just to get a torch to melt the ice to get to progress past the ice waterfall.I was considering letting my son play this part of gw2 i.e SAB but whats the point if i cant get it completed after 5 hrs of solid play.

I did buy the continue coin, thank God my deaths are in the thousands, and I truly think that is the only reason you have made this so kitten hard. If you average out 5 hrs in2 a working week of 1hr game play that 5days just to get to the point you realise you have to redo content to get enough balls to buy more ranged weps to kill the last boss. That is only leaving you 3 weeks to get the normal mode done. and that is not considering the amount of time you have to spend redoing content beacause you leave in the middle of a zone.

To sum it up for me
The zones are too long
You need to redo too much content in a 4 week period and if like me you only have an hour a night beacuse of work and family
And you are forcing ppl to buy the continue coin so as they dont have to redo more content to get extra lives
This is meant to be extra content not take over the normal content of the game. How is some 1 ment to get there orr and wood and craft if all of this month is spent in SAB to get the GW2’s end game of achivements?

After reading the coments on normal mode I am not going to bother…
Congrats on making challenging content if i had more than 4 weeks to do it would I? YES ! Will i do it considering the time scale? NO!
The only ppl that can, are ppl that have time off work or are not working!

just had a huge blue screen after restarting my comp i go back in and yes this cloud is still bugged can any 1 else point me to the same thread if there is 1 or is that cloud just not ment to work?

i give up beacuse there is a chance that ppl can sell achivements every1 gets penalised for a dc in a group ill stop playing along with the other 3million that have good buy gw2 you kittened up big

and iam not sure if you noticed or not but its a serious error every time you try to join i.e full game error

but if you and your party have got to that point then why not let them rejoin its only 010101101100111 after all kittenign kitten programming tbh they can do it with frac
