You lost every single 5v5 engagement, rapidly and then would either run back to spawn or waited until you had 4 thieves(two were adds that took part in most of the fights), 2 mesmers, 1 guard, 1 warrior, 1 engi and 1 necro to fight a group of 5-6. I am not counting the additional adds which sometimes were another necro, warrior, guard or thief as we on 2 occasions had 2-3 adds as well.

You were facing 1 necro, 1 engi, 1 warrior, 2 mesmers, one of which hopped onto a staff ele later on and a guard who came later on as well. That is 5 and later 6.

You know what you could have done? Instead of waiting and calling in more people, fought with even numbers and tried harder, but instead you followed the typical zergbaby mentality of calling in more numbers.

You’re pretty much one step away from fighting next to a tower and having 2 of your guildies manning cannons.

If you want to make excuses such as “oh, cheesy builds” then you can do so. At the end of the day, you know that you repeatedly lost even numbered fights and instead of trying different tactics, you called in more numbers.

I logged on in the middle of the fight, wasn’t even there for the initial fight. But it’s okay, no sense in arguing with you. In any mmo, there is always a cancerous group of people who play the game that think they are gods gift to the world. You fit just into that category.

Players like you talk about “good fights” but that’s now what you want. You only seek to win, and throw every excuse possible when they lose. Get off your high horse, your nothing special. Nobody wants respect from you, because nobody respects you, even your own server.

A big shout-out to all of the roamers and guild groups we came across this week. These skilled group fights are the only reason I play this game, and I’m sure the same goes for so many of you.

So, thank you to everyone we fought. Keep up the good work, and keep roaming alive.

What skilled enemy groups did you come across? The best I found were average roamers. Even the self-proclaimed good roamers were push overs and would call in more friends when they continuously wiped with even numbers.

I’m curious, why did you transfer to the same server as VP? I thought you had mild relationship issues with them.

I wouldn’t let someone I dislike get in the way of my having fun. I wanted a more active battlefield and I found that. Although to be honest, if I could fight against BP every week I would prefer it, as BP has a lot of roaming groups and 10-15 mans as opposed to servers that mainly mega-blob.

BP seems to be pretty stacked with roaming groups atm. Ebay had Good Fights but they left to TC, so I think we are very short on roaming groups here atm, not entirely sure.

Anyways, as Moose Man said earlier, thanks to all the roaming groups out there for fighting the harder fight, who choose to play the game in a more challenging and fun way. Guilds like vT,VP,NoQQ(former servermates), I might be missing some but sorry in advance, can’t remember them all!

We didn’t run into tM and friends much, but we did get some good fights in the times we did. Even last night Oozo, you weren’t on and we ran into them in a 5v5 that was a very good fight. Both sides got 1 fully stomped and then got ruined by yaks bend. There is too many factors to try to discredit one another (i.e. pugs, group comps). I’d rather leave it at what it is, good fights all around

Few thoughts before reset.

1. During reset night, Ebay had the floor wiped with them on most maps. On eternal you were pushed into Overlook and you went turtle. Yes you defeated our attempts to take OL but we wiped the rest of the map. Thank you for the turtle btw. Very easy to take your towers when you refuse to defend.

2. The reason you dont have numbers is your server quit.

You know, if you’re looking for Ebay’s skill groups, I think currently we have about 3 that run 15+. Just an fyi, Ebay BL isn’t the best place to start looking for them, so your bad, now you know. The ADBsty guys were on SoS BL along with HAWK for a while mixing it up with mags and SoS there, while you were screwing around with siege and whatnot. Next time just ask around to see where the fights are. Also, the server generalizations in this matchup are so boring.

Pretty much the people that left did so because they weren’t finding enough fights on a regular basis, not because DR was going down in rankings. AD moved to DR when it was at the bottom in T8. We moved from T2 to avoid the zergs and we had a great time in T8 as there were almost always people to fight the second you left your waypoint.

Over the past few months things have changed in the lower tiers. We’ve found ourselves quite often moving from BL to BL not finding any good fights. And, I’m not going all PAXA on you here, because there are a lot of great fighters in the lower tiers. This is just a case of spending too many nights roaming for hours not finding the types of fights we are looking for or not finding anyone at all.

Too many servers in the lower tiers go to a BL in one big zerg. They take everything and then leave the zone completely. So, often times all we find are one or two players trying to get to the zerg or doing vistas or scouts who sit in a tower or people who are only willing to fight right outside their tower door (even when they have even numbers or better).

The good open field even number fights are just too far in between to justify playing in the lower tiers at the moment. I dislike the zerginess of where we moved to at times, but at least we are pretty much guaranteed to get some action almost immediately after we leave a waypoint.

I just think the lower tiers are dying due to population and playstyle issues.

It is a bit awkward to see so many guilds leavin from the smallest servers right now and complaints about the lack of fights is somethin I’ve heard a lot as well. Maybe if they lowered the gem value for movin to lower tier servers further (and I don’t mean world population but tiers!) Just for curiousity’s sake, where did you end up?

We went to Ehmry bay. A lot more fights there and the guild is already more active due to more people to fight against. It is a little strange adjusting to the old tier 5 days where you spec for bigger fights, but in those old days were the most fun IMO.

Stealth and then that sprint will cover a ridiculous amount of ground. You sprint longer and farther if you keep holding the ability down.

When he disappears at the end he might have gone out of combat for a waypoint. Since it covers so much ground you will get OOC pretty quickly after using the sprint.

Where did Btsy/AD transfer to? Heard there was a mass exodus from DR. I know most of GoM went to IoJ, but sad to hear the same is happening to DR.

It’s sad to see Devona die, was there since October and have seen it rise and fall. I know what it’s like to stick it through the thick and thin, but there is only so much you can take. AD and BSty stuck around through about 3-5 rebuilding attempts? It got to the point where there was no fun to be had in those tiers, and we weren’t getting the fights we hoped to get.

All the people we knew on Devona are leaving, and it’s time you leave it behind aswell. From what I can tell, OBS and EDGE went to Crystal Desert. Bags went to SBI, Beast is going to BP, and DDLG will be leaving soon too. We went to Ehmry Bay and are liking it here, we came for the roaming scene though.

Some of our members have good cross server relationships with Ebay’s GF guild. They just run under different tags most of the time, pretty rare you will see them running the AD tag.

Check the guild tags at the front. That is PAXA joining in with 25+ HoD to try to kill us. I’ve never seen you guys do something like that before. You hit us while we were fighting those numbers. What’s up with that? And what happened to you is precisely the reason why I always try to get my group to pull out and leave in those situations because I’d never want to be caught dying with a zerg at my back like that.

Below is the fight where you added in. Check the tags. It’s HoD. This was not too long after we let you 1v1 the thief. A fight which you won, but we had to kill you because you went to stomp him. People don’t do that in duels.

No I dont regret it because people dont understand “my” meaning. I made NoQQ (Shoulda Rolled Kaineng) on Kaineng as a joke when Kaineng was the lowest of the low with a population that was nonexistant in WvW. Was more of a joke to those that we killed that they “Shoulda Rolled Kaineng” otherwise they wouldn’t have died in WvW to a Kaineng group roaming around. This was on Kaineng WAY before the bandwagon ride up that Kaineng did. I moved my guild off of Kaineng weeks before they started their rise up the ranks.

The problem with the joke is that not everyone who reads the forums knows the backstory on NoQQ and why the guild is named the way it is, so Stylii has no choice but to correct the record for those people.

He probably regrets the guild name for that reason but not for the one in your joke. :P

The other problem is that Stylii posts like a 12 year old girl does; between the ballistic approach to punctuation and capitalization plus the love of emotes and OMGs I always have trouble reading his posts in anything but a shrill, hysterical voice that always ends sentences with !?.

It makes me feel like I’m trolling on deviantart/gaia again. Like I wouldn’t be shocked to see him spouting off stuff about Naruto, bishies, and yaoi in 16 pt glittery pink comic sans.

Basically, it’s really hard to understand exactly what he’s saying if you don’t have experience talking with him in vent to filter the post through.

Look, I like FC and SR and i’m sure you guys are all nice people but SF and IoJ already proved it in previous weeks, and i’m sure other servers have done it already in weeks before that:

If you team up on the bigger server, or at least the one with more advantages (like more oceanic coverage), you will have a much closer match. A more entertaining match for all 3 servers.

If you go after the other server, the one not dominating, you’ll have all kinds of reasons to hate each other and point fingers, etc etc.

Next reset, go for the dominating server after the first few days, and see where it puts you. IoJ and SF were much better off because of it. We didn’t manage to do it 100% of the time, hell we barely did it over 50% of the time, but we tried to make it a goal, and everyone was better off because of it.

The first week we did it, 1st 2nd and 3rd was within 2k points or something crazy, and it was Tuesday or Wednesday!

You can either do it, and have fun, or you can keep finding reasons not do, and write 4-5 paragraph stories about it on the forums, and be no better off than you were to start.

Pretty much what I do. Looks like some people spend more time on the forums than actually playing lol. Enjoy the game for what it is and what makes you happy, if its fighting doors or killing enemies.

The logic in this thread is basically like any other match up thread..

I find most thieves to be an easy fight as a warrior. Only the really good ones make the fight fun. If you are looking to get better, show up to Thursdays fight clubs and practice there.
