Maybe i’m dating myself, but i remember when the game play was the reward and anything in addition to that was a bonus. Like playing a pinball machine and finding out from the owner you broke the record as he hands you a free pizza.

Seems no one wants to do anything unless the get something for it. Even real world charities seem to have to bribe people to help out by giving them tshirts or some other bit of swag.

Welcome to the new Ancient Rome folks. It’s gonna fall hard again.

sorry. just finished another run of the event and someone posted their tag and camp strategy is better than the ‘losers’ who get minimum rewards. So i’m feeling a bit cynical and cranky.

The problem is they turned 30 minutes of gameplay into days of gameplay.
The experience is the exact same no matter what map you are on. Therefor, the fun dies out after 30 minutes. Yet because you get absolutely nothing from it, and you have nothing to commemorate it, etc, you go looking at the vendors. When you see what they have and the amounts needed, this produces a sour attitude.

Its not wonder why people don’t feel rewarded by this content.

Raids are coming to GW2!

The largest thing I feel is missing ABOVE EVERYTHING ELSE from what I have seen in Guild Wars 2 is AI. Boss AI as well as overall enemy AI in this game is very lacking. I really don’t know if this is just due to game design but I feel like certain systems would have to be specifically crafted / redesigned for raiding to be truly effective.

I keep hearing that without any proper feedback what the AI really lacks. Care to elaborate?

Target of target is another important one here. I feel like I missed / wanted this the most while doing dungeons and I really hope we see it during raiding. Being able to tell what an enemy is looking at and being able to act accordingly is amazing.

Watch the environment not the UI. That was the goal of GW2 combat since the beginning.

I would say the one thing to take from other MMOs is to make raid bosses large enough to know where they are at all times; even if they are humans etc. This is kind of the part where gameplay > aesthetics.

While bigger bosses would be generaly a better idea the main issue with the visibility of animations is the massive amount of particle effects (guardian F1 for example is totally overdone and pointless).

I feel like most of the dungeons use one shot mechanics with dodging etc and I wonder if this is really the path you guys are wanting to take with raiding. While having the res downed people feature is nice I don’t think we should be getting tastes of it every 5 seconds while raiding.

I keep hearing that without proper examples all the time. Care to elaborate? Of course if you are on a squishy ele it’s more of a problem than on a warrior.

While I completely support the idea of having people able to choose their role in dungeons its obvious that current content focuses on just dps[…]

And there goes your credibility. False statements and logical fallacies as always.

We see with bosses like Tequatl that we still have the need for roles, we have just masked what a role is by putting people on turrets, bumping up the total to 2, but still leaving out the tank. What we have next is a boss that doesn’t move or target anyone and just stands in place so the dps can attack it.

Defending teams. Just sayin’. Tanks are for removing the threat from the dps players so they can safely damage the enemy (omg it’s all about dps too, who would expect that?!)

I really think it would be nice if we had people wanting to spec mostly heals or mostly defense for these raids. Of course they would still dps and make use of their 1-5s, they would be full support and we would actually have a use for the healing sigils etc.

That can be done in whatever gear you have with proper gameplay. Combo fields and finishers are there for a reason as well other weapons too like guardian hammers for perma protection. But yeah, ignore everything again.

I could probably go on all day about specific ideas for raid encounters but I think I’ll hold back.

Thanks, you lack proper knowledge about the game anyway and you are emotionally biased as well.

Don’t attack me just because you disagree with me. I’m not looking to argue about my statements. Take your maliciousness elsewhere.

As someone who has been playing MMOs for about 10 years I feel like I know what I expect with raids. I want to start this out by saying I WANT RAIDING in this game and I personally feel like I could benefit greatly from it. However I do have certain concerns about this topic and hopefully I’m able to address all of them and they get where they need to go.

The largest thing I feel is missing ABOVE EVERYTHING ELSE from what I have seen in Guild Wars 2 is AI. Boss AI as well as overall enemy AI in this game is very lacking. While I completely support the idea of having people able to choose their role in dungeons its obvious that current content focuses on just dps, where as instead of having the holy trinity we have reduced it to one role and I don’t think that was the original intent, however limiting people on their skills and having one shot mechanics I feel it has pushed players into moslty very non defensive roles.

We see with bosses like Tequatl that we still have the need for roles, we have just masked what a role is by putting people on turrets, bumping up the total to 2, but still leaving out the tank. I could probably go on all day about specific ideas for raid encounters but I think I’ll hold back.

TL;DR
Basically just give us more notifications about enemies, give them tight programming and make their attacks have strengths and weaknesses, don’t make them just do boring one shot mechanics, let players choose roles and make encounters fun, and I think it goes without saying to give these bosses good rewards.

So I think one of the major parts that everyone agrees with is coordination. Not knowing what the hell to do.

This problem should be fixed by NPC commanders. They determine how many people are in the zone and give you a flag with custom event goals to do on the event. As long as you do your part, and everyone does their assigned goals, you pass with appropriate dps, etc.

This still means everyone has to do what they are supposed to do, but you hear voice clips going “Man those turrets, left side needs you!” and it will mean something.
Allowing for a personal failure of the event would allow people to leave and let other people more worthy of it join in. Instead of the goal being to kill Tequatl, it would be to follow the npc commanders orders. Not doing the job you were ordered to do, or hindering other people would cause personal failure.

The most frustrating part about this is knowing you did your job and you still didn’t pass, this would fix this.

While I’m still completely for raids that offer an incredibly steep learning curve, please keep them instanced so people can work on them at their own time and their own people.

Also assigning certain people to the circles to attack, some to the circles to defend turrets, and some to operate turrets.

That would pretty much exclude anyone who doesn’t play in a large guild from doing this content. I’d rather they just make it so that people can actually kill him. As of right now, he has either a) too much HP, or b) too short timer.

Well right now it excludes everyone.

Another idea while I just tried Taco for the 6th or 7th time…. How about we have both? How about Anet keeps Taco just the way he is here, and then they create a raid system where we actually go to when he’s not attacking and kick his patoot there?

Why do we have to wait for him to show up on the shore? Why do we have to constantly beckon every time he calls? How about he beckons when we call? I wasted an entire day just trying to do Taco, and now I can safely say I’m done with it. There is no way to not get into an overflow unless you’re lucky or there early, there is very little time to prepare or to organize. No one listens if you do. The list goes on and on.

Give us raids. Give us raids. Give us raids. Screw him showing up every 3 hours, screw time limits, screw needing 60+ people. Screw all of that. If you’re going to make us need that many people at least let us choose them.

So what you are saying it is Anet’s fault that Tequatl can’t be beaten and not the player’s?

I would rather see the GW2 community up their game rather than 5 man elitists fuel their egos.

As a video game designer I can tell you that this isn’t good game design. Having multiple gray areas affect the outcome of a battle rather than it actually being about skill is a terrible thing, and it is very demeaning to players.

- People leveling in the zone taking up slots.
- People doing map completion in the zone.
- People doing achievements or jump puzzles.
- Stragglers.
- People new to the fight

While I’m sure you’re thinking people new to the fight? Why is that a bad thing? Because it gives you no time to teach the new player what is happening. You have no time to personally sit this new person down and explain fights. It’s poor game design when every 3 or so hours a flood of new people come in to try it out, and they waste the time of everyone there. This halts progression and it makes the people that have tried it 2,3,4,5+ times feel it’s no longer worth their time and effort when they have spent a total of 3 or so hours just trying to do it, and they have seen no reward or compensation for their time wasted.

I’m all for everyone getting better at the game, but this isn’t the way to do it. So yes, I’m saying this is Anet’s fault that this event went this way. It is their inexperience, as well as their ability to not follow the beaten path. At the same time this is good, and they will learn from their mistakes, they just need to understand that this isn’t how they go about it.

Spot on OP! While I quite enjoyed the Teq attempt yesterday, it is very clear that it needs a determined, well coordinated and preferably well geared mass of people. It could be done, gz Blackgate, but when winning relies on so many people a lot of whom don’t even read the chat, it makes the skill of several (even say 30+) determined players worth nothing. Even if some people do learn, there’s always the issue of coordinating / teaching a lot of new players / whoever comes for the encounter.
Relying on a mass other random people doesn’t really work, as seen with the Scarlet invasions. A more controlled environment would be much appreciated for this content.

It takes a lot, and I’m not against challenging content, but this just means that not every server will be able to do it, or willing to do it after the achievements are done.

Agreed. It’s sad knowing that my only way to beat this is to transfer off of my server, or wait until the end of the month for a chance. We will see how it goes, but I don’t suspect this will get much better in time.

in Tequatl Rising

Posted by: Criminon.8432

Criminon.8432

I really wish they hadn’t beaten him. Seriously, now the metric for this is incredibly difficult not impossible to ANet. The thing is to the average open world zerg this is impossible.

It’s not just about getting out of a zerg mentality, it’s that several parts of this encounter are critical failure points.

1st: The turrets. 6 people essentially control your fate in phase 1. If they are not chain cleansing the zerg DPSing and buff the zerg DPSing.

2nd. His Mechanics render certain classes/builds useless. As a ranger I rely on my pet for a good portion of my damage. Too bad my pet gets 1-2 shot by Tequatl. People in Berserker’s gear have 2/3 of their stats being useless while DPSing him. Get Soldiers gear you say? Why should anyone have to spend 10-12g just to fight one boss when the chance of success does not hinge on that one person alone.

3rd. Coordination. They killed Tequatl by using communication from a program outside the game. Last time I checked, the game is supposed to be balanced around the content in the game, not 3rd party applications. Saying people need to use TS to communicate to beat content is bad content design. Just because this is a requirement for WoW does not mean it should be a requirement for open world content.

That’s enough of my rant, and I hope I get proven wrong by people banding together to uniformly defeat this epic encounter by the power of friendship and love! That’s not going to happen. The community is rapidly getting polarized and unless SOMETHING is done about polarizing the community you will get a content gradient in which certain servers are the servers to defeat the hard content, and other servers are ghost towns, just like WoW.

Agree agree agree. Tbh, xfering to blackgate is looking pretty good right now.

Well … lets look at Eternity since you just brought it up.

Eternity has:

  • Footfalls: Yes, galaxy paint
  • An aura: Yes, faint white glow
  • Visibility as a projectile: No— possibly bugged since the two swords before it show their own unique models when thrown.
  • Day/Night Cycling Skin: Yes
  • General Attack effects: painterly trails
  • Unique features: a glowing ball

Let’s talk about a legendary that is not Eternity, Twilight and Sunrise, the two swords required to build Eternity

  • Footfalls: Yes, galaxy paint
  • An aura: Yes, faint colored glow
  • Visibility as a projectile: Yes, present during Whirling Wrath and Bladetrail and others
  • Day/Night Cycling Skin: No
  • General Attack effects: painterly trails
  • Unique features: aura burst when drawn

Really, the only thing remotely different, aside from color, is the Day/Night Cycling Skins. The lack of projectile effects on Eternity could potentially be a bug … but if it’s intended, then all Legendary greatswords have at least five unique effects tied to it. One could say that ArenaNet are biased towards greatswords, but I think that would branch to a totally different and potentially unrelated topic.

Now let’s look at Flameseeker Prophecies:

  • Footfalls: No
  • Aura: No
  • Visibility as a Projectile: No (Shield Toss still throws a wooden shield)
  • Day/Night Cycle Skins: No
  • General attack effects: Glows when drawn
  • Unique effects: Pages turn after every attack.

Besides the unique skin, FSP has only two defining features. Three if you count “Lore” but when you’re comparing that to everything else that seems “hip”, Lore doesn’t carry much weight except maybe to other Lore buffs … and how many people play this game for the Lore? Lore isn’t something the average joe can see with the naked eye. Instead, Lore is something that is often sought after looking to become more knowledgeable in the world around them. For the average joe, they just want to play the god dang game! If they want knowledge, they’ll probably read a book or attend a training class.

Let’s look at a recently updated Legendary: Meteorlogicus

  • Footfalls: Yes, clouds and lightning
  • Aura: No
  • Visibility as a Projectile: ??
  • Day/Night Cycle Skins: Yes
  • General attack effects: Trails created when running and attacking
  • Unique effects: Orbiting planets and clouds with intricate floating stars.

Meteorlogicus has 4 defining features. By using your definition of “tier” of legendaries, that would mean that Meteorlogicus would technically be in the same tier as every other Legendary that has at least four defining features the separates it from your typical exotic weapons. Now why does Meteorlogicus have four defining features while FSP has two? And no, “FSP is an off-hand only weapon” doesn’t count. After all, The Minstrel has three noticeably defining features: purple aura, musical notes, and harp sound effects.

Ideally, all first-tier Legendary weapons should be upgraded to have the same amount of noticeably defining features amongst each other. The only second-tier Legendary that could have more should be Eternity … in reality, even Eternity still faults itself with the other legendaries released at launch.

I believe that most, if not all, my suggestions a few posts back are within reason and would still maintain the same tier of cosmetic display as non-Eternity legendary weapons. I know I didn’t ask for a Day/Night Cycle Skin that’s for sure, but it would be nice to have.

I completely agree. It’s sad honestly. Sorry I’m not responding with a more detailed comment, but I can’t think of a thing I could add to this that I haven’t already said. Well put.

I’ve spent the time doing as much research as I can on the fight, as well as making sure I have everything I need to do my best (potions etc) and still I just find myself getting frustrated and overwhelmed by the amount of time I’m wasting, and the lack of other people grasping the idea of how to take him down.

Greetings everyone! I want to point out a few things here which I found interesting in the two attempts that I did with Taco. (Now while two isn’t a great deal of attempts, I’ll explain why that was enough below)

First of all I want to talk about a typical raid or dungeon environment and I want to tell you why it works.

First of all, time. Time is a big part on this one because people don’t have a lot of it. Not to mention focus, timing, and effort take a lot out of a person, and they can’t be expected to give the same amount of time and effort all day long.

This is why a raid encounter is lost by all party members losing hp and eventually dying. (typically)
The reason for this is because it’s a quick way to tell players that they lost, to reset the fight, preparing it for them to attempt it again, and for the players to try new tactics. Time is greatly reduced for players because if they had to go the full time of an encounter each time they fought the boss, they would feel like their time was wasted, and they would feel very discouraged over time, ultimately making them feel like it wasn’t worth their valuable time, or effort. (I see this already happening with Taco).

Another thing to look into is resets. Normally you would have as long as you would like on a boss (to a certain extent) and it would reset on a standard day allowing you to fight the boss until you were content. Having a boss on a timer makes you waste an entire day focusing on killing a boss that seems hopeless. For those of you who don’t have a lot of time, this can be extremely frustrating and it may even put you off from the game. Knowing that you’re a skilled player, that wants to dedicate the time, but feels helpless due to the lack of coordinated assistance by players that you have no emotional attachment to and overall could care less about is a huge factor in this as well.

Which brings me to my next statement. Most things that require coordination in MMOS are almost always beat via VOIPS, or online voice chat. The reason for this is because typing during a fight will often leave you dead due to standing in one place. This is seen during the taco fight, as there is no easy way for all players to communicate with all of the other players easily without dying. Which leads to a lack of coordination, which defeats the purpose of having a fight like Taco that requires coordination. This ultimately leads to frustrated players, players that feel like they could easily do it if they had as many of them as there were people who didn’t care to listen, or to grow with the fight.

My next observation would have to be stragglers. In dungeons or raids you wouldn’t have stragglers. If the group felt someone was mooching, they removed them and got a replacement. Someone that could fill the shoes. What happens here? That person stays regardless of how well they actually play or contribute to the event. Most likely a better suited and skilled player is thrown into an overflow server and cannot join the main group on the home server due to that slot now being filled by someone that doesn’t care about actually finishing the fight.

Leading on from the last observation; Why care about learning the mechanics? Why not just wait for everyone else to learn them and just mooch off of them after they learn it? One of the first things I thought of as a player was why learn the fight? I don’t have time to stay logged in every hour or two just to wait for the fight to happen so I can waste 30 minutes of typing out to each player how to do the fight, so I can constantly die in poison clouds from not being able to move while having to pay a durability fine and while having to sort through overflow servers to even get to play with my friends in my party all the while thinking about how it would just be easier to get loot champ farming. (<3 run on sentences)

To sum it all up; despite watching the sneak peek video of Taco, being pumped for a few weeks for this content, and while going in and giving it my all with the understanding that I would have to learn the fight, and get good at it, I felt that this type of encounter should never be done for an entire zone wide event. The reason world bosses work in other MMOs is because they don’t have a swarm of people on them. They have a limited number which means it can be controlled, contained, and it can be coordinated. These three C’s seem to be the three C’s this game is currently lacking when it comes to developing content. And while “A FERARRI IN EVERY GARAGE!” and “A HAT ON EVERY HEAD!” sounds great, it doesn’t pan out that well when you try to throw challenge into the mix. (If anyone didn’t get that reference, I’m referring to loot for everyone as long as they participate)

ALL IN ALL——— Put challenging content in dungeons/raids where groups of 5+ can tackle content in a controlled, contained, and coordinated environment.

I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were you. They purposely avoid thread like these, i.e. threads that clearly points out their shortcoming and to which they have absolute no persuasive comeback. The silence is a clear admittance of flaws. Let’s just hope they get a hit on the head by a meteor or something and start get things right.

Then we make them notice! ArenaNet has many forms of social networking. If all else fails, there’s always the extreme (hopefully, still-civilized) method of getting the message across.

At this rate, I might as well mail ArenaNet a cardboard look-a-like of FSP to go along with the potato sack from a different issue all together. Saves me the postage. What would that accomplish? Well, if it doesn’t get improved, then at least I have the satisfaction that I actually decided to put forward my actions instead of leaving my words empty; unlike 99% (exaggerated) of the people who say they’ll press legal charges for bad customer service, but never actually do.

That’s understandable. I think that arena net should cater to everyone, which wouldn’t be hard. They keep the old skin the way it was, and each time they upgrade it they give the people who previously owned it to keep the old state, or to upgrade it.

I’m sorry but this made me laugh. This isn’t a logical post about why the shield should have upgrades but (comes across as) more of a childish whinge.

a) Why craft the shield in the first place if you didn’t like it
b) Why equip it before the update? wheres the logic?
c) I would love to have that shield on my guard. I’m sure you worked hard for it but you forget that it is still, by far, the coolest shield in gw2.
d) It is instantly recognisable regardless of particle effects so you can easily show it off.
e) Is it not nice to not always be glowing like the sun when your walking around? I would get a little annoyed if everytime I moved my shield started glowing like an 80s disco.
f) You own a legendary. Everyone feels deeply for you that it isn’t good enough.

Now without sounding bitter, grow up. Stop whining about how your gonna quit bcos . . oh wait nothing changed . . . .

a) I already have foefire and the shield was the obvious choice if I wanted to get a legendary.
b) After working hard for something you obviously want to show it off. However it was so underwhelming after I equipped it, I wished I hadn’t.
c) The fractal shield looks cooler.
d) I haven’t once had a comment about it, however my foefire has been getting comments for about 9 months.
e) If I work that hard for something, the sun should be envious about how much I glow.
f) Your smart kitten remarks aren’t really needed here, and while I do appreciate you taking the time to read the thread (which I don’t believe you read much of), I must say I found your post very rude, and rather distasteful.

If you think a 2 minute post by you is going to change my views or beliefs on this subject, or even bother me in the slightest bit, you might want to reconsider. I’ve been on this subject since the announcement was made. I haven’t let up yet, and I don’t plan on it any time soon.

That effect is kitten! I would craft the kitten out of that shield if it came with that

I’m glad you like it!!

kind of related, but paying 100g for client-side removal of aegis gfx
i like FSP the way it is currently. but i can’t see the fine detail until i get hit and then have 30 seconds to admire the shield before aegis pops back on

>.>

I completely agree. It should eat Aegis.

I completely agree with this. Disappointed doesn’t even begin to describe how I felt when I found out the flameseeker wasn’t being upgraded. I was hoping they would add something or at the least get rid of the aegis effect so that the guards can enjoy their shield the way it is now, but that’s just another problem anet has yet to tackle.

I know This stuff gets pretty emotional. There is nothing worse than getting your hopes and dreams crushed.

I don’t know. I like it the way it is. I really don’t want some ridiculous, over done crap that plagues the other legendaries. I think it’s beautiful the way it is.
I’d rather they just leave it alone and not ruin it. It’s one of the few actually tastefully done legendaries.

I don’t know if you own one, but it is very underwhelming standing next to other people who have legendaries and knowing no one knows you even have one.

After the recent announcement of which legendaries would be touched, which one do you feel needs the most work still?

Feel free to comment on which things you would like to see on them.
Personally, I would like to see a Flameseeker with blue aura footsteps, with the “air” or “force” that rises upwards out of it. As well as the same glow on the body of the wielder.

ALSO; I made an example of an idea for FSP. While it’s a bit over the top, and it’s crudely edited, I’m just pretty passionate about this shield receiving SOME update.

Rodgort extremely disappointed

Legendaries currently have up to 4 categories of effects (based on my observation):

1) Attack animation or movement animation on the weapon itself (i.e. Rodgort, Frostfang)
2) Sound effects
3) Footprints
4) Glow/aura

Right now, it seems that Anet is trying to make sure all legendaries are on par based on those 4 qualities (disregarding whether or not you agree with the asethetics). Look at the Dreamer, clearly a noticeable legendary after one update, now will get a glow and footsteps. Rodgort I believe has 3 of the 4 (not sure about the sound effects), so I wouldn’t lose hope yet of having Rodgort getting a polish eventually.

Flameseeker Prophecies:
1: slightly animates when you cast a spell? Page turns. Not noticeable especially for a guardian with the aegis over it.
2: no
3: no
4: no
Well at least it kinda glows when you pull it out, right? Oh yeah. I don’t understand why it’s taken 1 year to even get legendaries on par with each other. It seems stupid to me that this wasn’t a larger priority. Mainly due to the fact that to players, it’s one of the largest priorities, especially one of the most time consuming. If players spend this much time on it, so should developers.

I would really like a dev response. I know moderators check these. It would be really, really, really, nice to get a straight answer as to why it wasn’t changed, why they think the others needed to be changed over FSP, why it hasn’t been touched since release, why the other ones should be flashier than it, and what hope do we have in the future.

Mainly due to the fact that to players, it’s one of the largest priorities, especially one of the most time consuming. If players spend this much time on it, so should developers. If it takes several months of collecting, gathering, boring grinding, repetitive actions over and over again, etc then can’t developers actually reward us for these actions?

A few months into the game, sure. It was understandable that Minstrel and others didn’t have anything cool on them. We understood they had to ship it before it was fully finished. They have done a good job on fleshing the game out and turning it into what it is. At the same time, legendaries have been the main focus since the beginning, and yet despite that being the case, developers have shown little to no interest in changing these things.

When I heard they were getting updates, I was certain that the only one that hasn’t been touched since release would get touched. Guess not. I would really like answers, because my feelings for these issues are very real, due to the time I wasted obtaining them. That time was definitely real.

Made a poll about legendaries. It’s going to be interesting to see the results. Most of the people doing this poll are people from reddit.

Honestly, I think instead of posting messages, we should go the traditional route: snail-mail objects that bring across a message. It’s obviously a bit more costly, but I believe the message would be more clear and “to the god dang point”.

I have at some point considered mailing ArenaNet an old “hobo-sack” that I got from my Marine Corp friends along with a multi-page letter printed single-spaced, 10 point, on legal-sized paper, complete with a dramatic reading of said message to those who prefer an audio version.

Well, maybe that could be borderline overkill, but something needs to be done.

Although, it may be possible that whomever designed the Flameseeker Prophecies is also very defensive about his/her design and doesn’t want other Anet artists to “destroy” it with more glitter and fluff.

Yes I can agree with that. It only proves however a very important question. Is Flameseeker the problem? Or Engineer design?

I’m a guardian. It’s flameseeker.

I’m severely disappointed at ArenaNet at the moment.

First they turn my infinite salvage kit useless where I paid real money for, then I hear on the livestream that my legendary won’t receive an update, leaving it behind the others in many aspects.

Seems I only get a giant middlefinger next week.

Same. Kitten same.

Thanks for the positive support. I’m honestly so fed up with her announcing that, that it overshadowed anything else that they could possibly have given us. Nothing says kitten Like spending several months on obtaining something and going “it will get an appearance update. I know I made the right decision” And then getting this. Worst possible scenario.

I understand you’re upset…but maybe you should have waited until they officially announced that they’re updating your legendary before equipping it. IMO you shouldn’t craft a legendary for what it may be but for what it is now. Otherwise this happens.

While I understand this, don’t get me wrong. I like to mildly roleplay the profession that I am. A shield like this goes perfect with my guardian. And while already having Foefire’s Essence, I felt it was the obvious choice to go for. When I have it equipped, I do feel like more of a guardian. At the same time, I look at what everyone else has to show with their legendary, and for putting the same amount of time and effort into it, it makes me sad knowing that I was the one that was dealt the least amount of cards.

I respect your reasoning. For what it’s worth I don’t think that other legendaries, like Flameseeker’s, shouldn’t be enhanced. While I’m not working towards Flameseeker’s myself, I do find it to be a pretty sweet legendary but lacking a footfall while a bunch of others have it is a bit disappointing. While it may not have a footfall effect, it certainly does stand out in combat, so I know I’d try to take some comfort in that if I were you.

All of this aside, don’t give up hope. Lindsay did say that they may still go back and touch things up in the future. You may still get a footfall or similar effect some day.

I appreciate the kind message, and I do agree somewhat. It’s just very upsetting knowing you put just as much effort into something and you got the least amount of payback. With that said, I appreciate you taking the time to voice your opinion and to try to make current flameseeker owners more comfortable with their situation.

You have no idea how much crap I got for crafting flameseeker. “WHY GET THAT ONE IT DOESN’T EVEN GLOW” etc etc etc. It’s friggin sad.
