Rifle is/was obviously a power weapon, so a ~50 damage bleed is in my opinion useless.
Please, explain why you think it was useful instead of just denying. I’m trying to understand this thread point of view.

I use the rifle in WvW and find it okay/good. The bleeding was garbage and useless, the extra-adrenaline is way more useful as rifle is a pretty slow weapon.

Also, “Kill Shot is easy to dodge/block/reflect” is easier said than done. Do you always have your cooldown or endurence ready ?
As warriors, we have some tools to land big hits more reliably.

Do you use Physical skills or just Rampage ?

Even with the old version of this trait (+100% physical skills damage) the physical skill damage were not that impressive… But still I liked my double-damage Kick.

Now… meh. Damage-wise, only useful for Rampage. Sad.

I play a axe/sword & sword/mace build with 6 in Strength (Burst precision, 100% crit chance with burst skills) and a sigil of intelligence on my main hand sword.

Critical evicerate followed by critical Final Thrust can be devastating. Not always easy to land tho. I use Bolas too, it helps a lot.

I like Sylvari elite Summon sylvan hound
Its poison and bleeding scale with our condition damage, and it is immune to condi.

Not a beast elite skill but i like it.

I bought my Naga (Molten) just before the beta, 10/10 would buy again !

#1-10 skills set to 1-10 buttons (default Naga setting)

WASD for moving, Q weapon swap, E dodge
ZXCV for attunements

I use this with every character and I feel comfortable.

Played a build derived from Bredin’s one yesterday.
Longbow + Sword/Warhorn with Healing Spring (combo with Sword 2 and Warhorn 5)
Really fun, hard to catch (LB’s knockback, stealth, muddy terrain, sword, lightning reflexes …) and pretty durable.
Sometimes I wasn’t “bursty” enough to kill my opponent though … but at least I didn’t die a single time !

Rocket Boots is (in my opinion !) a must-have. The blast finisher triggers whenever you go across a combo field mid-air, no need to be on a combo field to trigger the blast finisher.

Inventions’ 10 point trait “Cloaking Device” combo well with Rocket Boots: invisible jump that cure Immobilize, great escape. Not sure if useful in PvE.

You will jump farther using Rocket Boots if you have Swiftness and even farther if you use Slick Shoes’ tool belt skill “Super Speed”. I think you jump 40 or 50% farther using Super Speed, easy to test.

You can use Flamethrower’s Smoke Vent whenever you want, while channeling a skill or while stunned.

Very interesting build.
Never noticed that but the “Stealth when immobilized” trait combines well with Rocket Boots .. Easy way to surprise/escape opponents.

As for the rune choice, it fits well with the build.
Superior Rune of the Forge could be a good choice too, nice big 12s protection when under 50% health.
I can see Superior Rune of the Earth and Inventions’ trait “Protective Shield” work well together, you get Protection here and there, always useful.

Mandatory trait for me. I start every of my WvW build with 0/0/10/0/15 (Dogged March + Fast Hand)
Indeed it could be a nice addition to Warrior class mechanic which consists in (in my opinion) one more weapon skill.

I use Earthshaker (even with 1 adrenaline bar, good damage) when I see a shadow refuge.
If used with more than 1 adr bar, Fierce Blow and/or Staggering Blow to knockback the thief out of SR.

Sometimes I use Earthshaker in my position when I feel incoming stealth thief burst.

Guard suggestion.

Another idea is if an enemy runs through your guarded area they get a 3 sec immob/stun and 3 seconds of revealed debuff.

No-stealth zone is interesting.

When I tell my pet to guard an area, I want it to be MORE aggressive to anyone entering the guard zone = pet gains damage bonus or pet’s skills recharge much faster (except F2) or gains stability or something

Protection is nice but stealth … It can help the pet to land its first attack while in stealth IF guard has been used within 10sec, I don’t find that feature really useful, what do you think?

Blind fits well imo, something like “Every hit has XX% chance to blind target for 1sec”
where XX could be 20 or 30% maybe ?

I played with your build this afternoon with the same changes Sagramor is talking about. (not exactly the same build because i don’t have full zerk armor right now)

Indeed warhorn is very nice, but I had a hard time using the sword. I’m not pro at all but the 2nd skill misses a lot even when in range and 3rd isn’t always easy to land.
How do you use it? Right after Earthshaker?

I like it, I can be very annoying and painful but I have mobility problems, when Bull’s charge is on cooldown I struggle to close the gap between me and my target(s).
Earthshake isn’t always reactive enough to close a gap = it’s relatively easy to kite me

I’ll try sword/warhorn combo with leg specialist, looks very good for mobility.

Final thrust needs a better sound effect.

At 6min45s, awesome counterattack animation with kicks, humans can’t do that, i’m so jealous ;_; looks like Karok’s move in Vindictus

I’m going to try an offensive variant, 10 in skirmishing instead of nature magic (i won’t notice the loss a lot as i don’t have exotic gear/dwayna runes), master’s bond and probably going to try Warhorn and/or Axe offhand for fun.

I was wondering usually i dont see rangers using Sick ’Em… now its only 40 sec CD and when u combo jaguar F2 + Sick ’Em its just soo much damage i love it.
what do u think about it?

I often use Sick’Em traited to be 32s (Jaguar F2 being 30s, it synchronizes well), really good indeed. I hope one day F2 skills will not cancel it.


With this setup Healing spring can be good too, some extra regen coupled with our 2 leap finishers … around 2k heal !
I’m gonna try using pigs too, the juvenile pig Forage skill is awesome + running with a pig is so kitten

edit: just realized that “rude” words are replaced with “kitten” … that’s why I see kitten, kitten, kitten in every post haha

Bunker with Healing power is hard to kill in skirmishes, but from my experience doesn’t do a lot of damage (sometimes i’m in a situation where the ennemy cannot kill me and i can’t kill the ennemy) especially with pets having hard time to hit moving target (close ranged pets at least). Maybe sword auto-attack will help or condition damage.

Greatword is really good for movement/escape (dat block skill)
