The problem with downed state is when you are fighting severely outmanned, its almost an impassible brick wall. Hence my thread.

Edit, also the downed state forces elitism as you don’t want to bring bads into your roaming party cuz they will just end up being rally bait for the other team.

We all know downed state has been an issue in WvW and can make being outmanned an almost insurmountable obstacle. I, like many others think it should be removed, but offer up this solution to at least make it bearable when significantly outmanned.

Take away the ability to help other people up via interacting with their downed corpse in WvW, that simple, let them rally, let them bandage themselves, and leave other mechanics such as illusion of life in place. I feel that this would allow downed players to be effectively finished when caught horribly out of position.

I don’t even know how many times I’ve watched a zerg of low skill players, get downed to arrow carts or players, then get insta-rezzed back to full and repeat, with nothing that can really be done about it in a 20v50+. I know this isn’t a fix-all solution, but I feel that it would make being outmanned a little more enjoyable.

I just noticed that someone named their pet after me in that screenshot. Wat. Anyway like I said before, people were complaining about it in T4 just last week (and weeks before).

Just talked to the mesmer involved. Apparently he died, went to the bathroom, came back and was being ressed(so I guess it does work, need to verify that firsthand though) with a bunch of Maguuma swimming over his body.

My guild does consider it an exploit however, and will not use it.

That is a total lie, he maneuvered into that position then patiently waited to be killed on the gate, 2 minutes later 2 guys came swimming right up to the water gate and rezzed him, because they knew he was there. Caught in the ACT.

I’m sure there are other people running it derpstorm, I’ve even run into some that were very similar, but nobody posted it on the front page of mes forums. I’m not even sure why im bumping this post FML

@pyro , you havent probably fought trig as p/d as he hasnt been running it for about 2 months now, but hes the best p/d out there by far. Also, I designed this build to crack bunkers and it has never failed me vs. any bunker type build, but I disagree with some of your changes. Honestly, i also don’t really appreciate seeing my build on the front page of the mes forums for a week. However, this build does do great for roaming, I used to play with AoN and it worked great, ive hit up to 10k blurred frenzies in the middle of groups with might stacks.

And if you became an elf by transferring to Tier 1, can you transform back into a dwarf by transferring to Tier 3, or are you forever bound to your elvish fate? Does one become more of a dwarf by transferring down more tiers, or is their dwarvishness only determined by how much the server they transferred to is losing in their current match up? These all seem like highly relevant issues.

So I don’t know if you lot know my transfer history yet but I technically went from Losing (US) > Winning (EU, lower tier), Losing (EU, Higher Tier), Maguuma (highest tier to date).

Play vs triggerless and get back to me. Phants give C&D targets and there is nothing you can do about it really. Anyone that can survive and out-invis this build will win. Trust me I’ve been running it forever. Also, PvT engies still hit like trucks with grenades/rifles, ive never lost to any engie except one, and he was extremely well played, another counter to this build is to just walk away from it.

Edit : also, as a rule in fight clubs i don’t switch out skills, i test my roaming build vs what i could possibly encounter. When a P/D thief jumps on you, it not like you get to call timeout and switch to mantra, even though i don’t think that would change anything, as i run mantra that drops conds sometimes and they will still prevail. That being said, there are 100 bad thieves out there for every good one, just like any other class.

Wow, this is so amusing on so many levels…Maguuma was talking big for so many weeks and now that there’s a tier that matches their server pop you’re getting crushed…GG Mag, you always were terrible when you didn’t outnumber your opponent 4 to 1.

Tier that matches our server pop? We hang all all coverage sets except oceanic. Continue your elfish hatespeak somewhere else.

I forgot to mention, we ONLY need oceanic dwarves, rest of you can continue having pillow fights, slumber parties.

Love seeing my build on here after I fought you with it at fight club, except i don’t use sep, overwriting phants with auto attack clones blows, plus NEED to have BF on both weapon sets.

So what tweaks did you add except for swapping out Sw/Sw with Sep/Sw? Also, this build is so/so for sPvP because it relies on overwhelming offense, i run around 130% crit dmg and you can’t get anywhere near that in sPvP

Also, the counter to this is a well played P/D thief, or a very good PVT engineer with grenades, I have lost to both consistently, although all the engineer fights were really close. However, i could probably duel trigerless 20 times and maybe win 1 or 2 just from luck.

OK, lets face it, we on Maguuma aren’t hanging in there well on this tier, we need bodies, especially oceanic bodies.

The star for 100% world completion is too visible, and can be seen through terrain even when the nameplate and everything else on it cannot. In WvWvW this makes it extremely easy to know where players are on walls that have 100% world completion, it should be brought in line with the visibility of the rest of the nameplate.

I’ve never had problems with this skill other than auto-targeting making me goto something that I didn’t want to goto if I had no target selected.

I also cannot delete characters, but it looks like a comma is inside the quotation marks of the characters name at the end, except you cannot enter a comma also.

did this today, and long ago, both times on asura with no problems, but to clarify, this is a OoW quest, not asura specific.
