Hey guys, I’ve been looking into using my ranger in pvp, and most people have told me the best place to start is spirit ranger. Now this is fine, but every single build I see uses a different set of weapons, runes, sigils, literally nothing remains the same except 30 trait points into Nature.

TL;DR – Can anyone point me in the direction of the meta or most basic of the set ups for spirit ranger pvp? What weapons (shortbow? axe/horn? ect.), sigils, runes, and amy would also help.

I’ve been having a lot of problems finding a consistently updated thief build for spvp, or really anything (other then wvw). What are some of my viable spvp builds and what do I use with them? Thanks for any help.

Looking for some of the top structured pvp builds and item set ups. Links to other threads and such are acceptable if this is covered often!

Anet recently came out saying that they would do away with magic find on gear and weapons. What do you think they will do to the armor/weapons that people currently own with the stat?

I’ve heard a few opinions:
- They allow you to chose the stats on the equipment (kind of like the legendaries in the future.

- The gear’s stats will be randomized.

- The gear will be outright deleted.

All could happen, what do you think?

My guildies told me to get Rabid gear for some kinda of grenade spec but then kinda left me hanging on how to trait. Im using all Rabid armor and some rampager pistols. I’m mainly pve, but I do pvp from time to time.

Basically I’m looking either for that grenade build, which will help me with the queens gauntlet apparently, or any other builds that wouldn’t let the 6 pieces of rabid exotic gear I bought got to waste.

Before I start, I’m looking for the smartest build for leveling (not necessarily 80). Second, I have 2 80’s so I’m looking for the smartest way to level non class wise. A long time ago I saw people posting some small thing about which levels to power through story, craft, ect. if you know what I’m talking about that would be helpful.

So anyways, I’m looking for a good main weapon, off weapon, skills, and traits for leveling my guardian. Annnnd when should I worry about story, crafting, ect. I could get a bunch of crafting done now at lvl 10, or I could wait. Tips?

So I just hit 80 and I’m wondering what my options are. I’ve heard all the arguments; “Warriors are better dmg, Guardians are better tanks, blah blah is better support”. My thing is the rogue class. It’s what I love. I will not be deterred!

With that out of the way… What specs and armor should I be using if I want to Main Fractals (PVE), but still want some WvW mixed in? I’m assuming I want a high single dmg build, but I know we can also role condition. If you have 1 of each build that would be nice. Even a little advice. Not here to start a war, just want some opinions! Thanks.

TL;DR – What armor (zerker/carrion/ect.) and what kind of build should an 80 Thief role till they get on their feet?

Looking for a good thief leveling build. Trait and skills. I’m not here to ask for a lvl 80 dungeon/pvp/wvw build necessarily rather the best thing for solo leveling mixed with a dungeon every now and then. Obviously this means its gotta be a dmg build.

TL;DR – Leveling build not based around lvl 80 stuff please.

PS: I’m lvl 40 atm if that helps you think.

Guardians are pretty much the opposite, very durable but IMO not as fun to play.

This was one of my worries, Paladin was the one class in WoW I never leveled 60+. I’ve heard Gaurdians are very viable and powerful but melee classes that are very magic/melee tend to become boring IMPO.

I finally got my IRL friend to get the game! Being the blunt and char-like person he is he decided he wanted a Char Warrior. My problem is deciding which profession to make my Char. I don’t intend to turn this into the “which class is bestest” fight, but I would like some opinions. Currently I already have a 80 Engineer, 10 thief, 10 warr. The classes I’m looking at are, Char Elementalist, Char Guardian, or Char Ranger, and MAYBE Char mesmer but there are so many of those guys I’m not sure its imporant.

TL;DR – Char Ele, Char Guardian, or Char Ranger? Just type up a little paragraph on your thoughts

PS: I’m not a pro by any standards but since I already have xp I wouldn’t mind a class that is pretty good at support. Hence the leaning towards Guardian or Ele.

Is there a point in Specing into inventions when healing/supporting in dungeons? Or are there other specs that work better for that? No need to link a spec or anything just wondering what my future options are should I go support.

Hello all, just started playing this game Saturday and I’ve decided to put my time into my engineer the most. At first I loved the idea of being helpful with turrets and stuff, so I made it my goal to spec that way. I’ve put all my points I can into inventions… until I started looking at the forums and guides, NO ONE is putting any points into inventions. Is this stupid? If so what should a 21 engineer be working with for lvling/pve?

I’ve recently picked up rocket turret, which is also the same time I got my 3rd slot for ults, and so I was rather enjoying being able to set up 3 turrets in front of a boss. In fact for a long time all my ults have been different turrets, would I lvl much faster or easier with another spec?

TL;DR: Are inventions pointless? What is a good lvling spec if not? How do I repsec if it turns out they suck? :P
