Yak’s once again rolling into the dueling zone in a zerg and getting rolled out.

I only counted 10 yaks in that SS, i dont think it can be called a zerg when you have more players than the zerg.

The server with the Best spirit (both NA/EU):

Friendliest server NA (for NA guys only): TC

Friendliest server EU (for EU guys only): Blacktide before transfers

Top Guild NA(the guild that when you encountered was always loyal to their server fought hard and was respectful): prob Pink from TC, UlTD skillwise is good too

Top Guild EU (above but EU): RG skill wise and xaos is a scary organized zerg.

Best server NA : TC and SoS very respectful and skilled players.

Best Server EU: Blacktide (before transfer) amazing community and FSP really good skill only match to the french and germans

Best overall server: Skillwise prob Blacktide they have most of the top FSP guilds which complemented some of the blacktide guilds(they already had great guilds there before transfers), community wise i like TC they seem to be very respectful in general in the forums or in game.

I dont think that FA is going to be hurt significantly by the transfers, last week we(yaks) lost Foo probably our biggest wvw guild to BG, did it hurt? probably less that most people expected, they had very good commanders and players, but that’s the nature of the beast with the transfers.

When i don’t doubt that they have some NA, CA and SA players the biggest concentration of Latin Americans player is in sorrows furnace , u can see in this link:

their 2 biggest guilds are Spanish speaking.

Everybody would try to sell you their server, i can do the same for Yaks, great commanders, public comms for all people, decent oceanic coverage and our prime time usually holds our lead well(and we even don’t boast that our prime time deserves to be T2 or T1, like other servers).

My advice is this make a list of were u want to go, T3,T4, T5(if u want to make a difference avoid the top 6 , they have spread coverage, but up to you) and send 5 or 6 guys to each server, and make an informed decision.

GW2 isn’t a cash shop model game, it’s a hybrid of cash shop and title purchase. I paid 55 euro for the game and that’s almost 4 months of sub time for a subscription based MMO. You’re not playing GW2 for free, you paid for it, and there is no justification for this game to ever sell power in the cash shop.

You pay the same for any other MMO and they only have 30 days free, right?

I want to know who these mythical transfers are. I keep hearing we have a new Japanese guild (What tag? JPN has been with us for weeks) and we have Europeans coming in the next fortnight or so.

Maybe its hard to see from your side but up until yesterday Aust. time at a certain time every single day from our POV at least 90% of FA players seemed to log off. This was confirmed by all the comments at the beginning of the thread about FA having almost nil presence other than at NA prime time. Now all of a sudden you have massive numbers at that time that you had previously dropped off. Why has that occurred? NA players staying up later on election day? Why weren’t they doing that on the weekend?

It really is hard to see from my side. Particularly because I play during that time slot and no new guilds have been on in any map and I also ask in all chats constantly to find out what guilds are staying up except random individuals and 3-4 old timer guilds in small groups. Provide me with a screenshot of a large guild contingent (people are saying 40, 70, and 200 member transfers now ??) at that time slot and I can be convinced. Now there’s rumor of transfers going around means we couldn’t possibly beat you without them and we recruited them just to fight Yak’s.

You guys have only mentioned guilds that have been here for a long time. Who are these new faceless warriors whom I owe so much to, yet aren’t visible during my playing hours when we turn the map green? A genuine question so I can find out who to thank for all their hard work when I thought it was just our server working hard.

You’re forgetting we had FA borderlands locked down before our PPT gain all started, which increased morale by a great amount. FA is notorious for having a sensitive morale if we hold no territory. If we do – a massive amount of PvE players will join the fight.

The fact that Yak’s is pretending we started recruiting for off peak purely for this match when all recruiting threads are dated a fortnight back is plain ignorant, just saying. We’ve been trying to recruit for that time slot since week long matches opened.

Updates for everyone, I’ll list who I know has moved so far.

-9 man elite euro squad joined GODS
-20-40ish man AU guild moved (they are still moving people according to my AU commander)
-70 man Japanese guild confirmed moving as well (confirmed by my co-leader, he talked with their leader)
-100 man EU guild (the one from earlier posts) confirmed as having moved. (They are recruiting in LA, and myself and my co-leader talked with their leader).
-Individual people [17 atm] (I have met 12 personally, my co-leader tells me he has met another 5).

We’re looking good. We were able to take almost the entire map from Yak’s and Eredon early this morning (NA early).

The 100 man guild that moved over is recruiting more EU guilds in as well.

Good work everyone who helped the recruitment going, it means a lot to me and everyone in Fort Aspenwood.

You should be able to find rush from the guild ECHO in your server and that’s over 200 players.

FA was cleaning up maps last couple of nights actually if it started like this we would be winning.

Not because we have more numbers (that sounds like a Yak’s excuse or whining), but because we have superior tactics and teamwork/communication. If anything Yak had twice the size zerg as us.

Today i logged at 9 am CST NA and i found the whole map green(is not longer that btw), but if u read the post from maniac, it kind of explains why.

And about the teamwork part, read this thread some of your own players even one of your top players(PRO) have expressed that you server lacks that .

It’s a start but I wouldn’t say a 70 member guild japanese guild and a 150 member EU guild is going to be enough to give us decent night coverage.

You are confusing Asian guilds= Early morning NA 7AM to 12 PM, EU Guilds = mid morning +11AM NA, Oceanic, Hawaiian and some part of east Europe = night coverage.

The Japanese and EU guilds will give you dominance from early morning to prime time or close to it.

You probably will still lack the late night or overnight presence but the asian and EU guilds will compensate for it, at least in T3, for T2 or T1 u need complete coverage.

Yaks were leading by as much as 111k earlier. FA made a 10k gain. Yaks will still win since they are ahead by a lot, but a rematch would be closer. For that to happen though, they’ll have to stay in T3 with CD dropping out of it after the next match.

A rematch would go for FA by a lot, I’ll explain why.

Yaks Bend Oceanic/Asian presence is mostly due to TOG and COCO there’s other guilds but they are the largest at those hours, TOG is capable of fielding about 100 members twice a week, but they usually field about 30 daily COCO is about the same, so in average our oceanic presence is about 100 people give or take 20 in all the maps, which PRO can attest to that.

After TOG logs, PRO is still strong in pvp and now with the 70+ Japanese guild they will be unstoppable at their night time which is about 7+ AM NA, once they leave FA new EU alliance with over 150+ people will take over against 30 or 50 EU players that we have(i counted) in all our maps, coming NA prime time Yaks will find himself in the same situation that FA has done this week.

As a Yaks player is going to be interesting to see if our servers still logs or if is going to be another SoR week, when people just gave up.

I’m not pointing this as a rant against FA or anything , they found their weakness in coverage and they are fixing it(well done), just explaining what’s the most probable outcome of a rematch between these servers after transfers.

So I have a question why does everyone hate Yak’s Bend so much.

I don’t think everybody hate us, some do most dislike us probably, we dont go around saying that we are strong or that we deserve or are equal to T2 servers, we recognize when we get beaten and usually are gracious in defeat(sometimes).

We are getting better more organized, we still have gaps in our coverage like most T4 servers(yes we are T4, pvp population wise), if we are in T3 is thanks to our organization mostly.

Anyway i think if people dislike us is because we usually prove other servers flaws, before we started this match it was pointed that FA had superior NA and we would be dominated, which hasn’t happened and we have better oceanic presence and they have better Asian.

I’m not saying that Yaks Prime time is better, is one of their guys.

Made a big push “overnight” during my timezone. Once we finished pushing Yak’s out of our borderlands, we moved to EB and pushed them all the way to their keep. I then moved back to FA BL with a 10 man team freeing up anyone else to do work in the other maps and we upgraded everything. Disappointed to see it lost during NA prime time. I don’t normally play during this time slot but I was able to see that FA prime time is not as strong as some FA would suggest and has a lot of room for improvement. I also think we need to utilise possession of SMC better to our advantage and learn the value of supply.

It is also a shame we still can’t get queues when we held a +415 PPT in WvW and we obviously need to work on our overall participation and server pride. I saw FA get outplayed today and I take my hat off to the Yaks guilds that hit us relentlessly, hard and fast in FA borderlands.

Shout out to PTX, EE and of course PRO who really brought on the pain when I needed them most while unfortunately some other leaders didn’t respond to our calls at all while we were breached at 2 fully upgraded keeps simultaneously. Shout out to all those crazy insomniacs from NA who stayed up with the small “night crew” to get us where we did you guys should be proud to get a +415 PPT. I need some sleep.

So you’ve failed at being successful on the EU tier, so you’re going somewhere where the competition is easier. To be honest, this is the same type of guild that will give up and switch servers again in the future when the going gets tough. Fort Aspenwood, don’t put too much faith in these proven quitters.

Glad to see Yak’s players showing their true colors. Uninformed declarations augmented with a fine whine. Keep it classy. FA has almost no overnight coverage right now. I see your server is benefiting from that greatly so I understand your fear of healthy competition.

How would a EU guild help with the overnight issue, Prime time EU is early afternoon NA.

I find it funny, it seems most servers accuse people of hopping to the winning server in a matchup, but here on Yaks Bend it always seems our opponents get the large influx of transfers mid match…

Will be interesting to see how this affects the matchup this week!

Is probably going to hurt YB a lot since yaks has only one EU guild that pvps.

WvW is a 24/7 game. Adapt or drop down in tiers, simple as that. There’s no shame in being in T5-T6 with the rest of the “prime-time only” servers.

But there is already a real worldwide ladder. Why come to a ladder where more than 50% of servers don’t want you ?

What’s the point if you can’t defend yourself : that’s the case for all localized server : 50% of EU ladder. Those servers can’t adapt no matter what
There is no German speaking community playing GW2 oversea
There is no Spanish speaking community playing GW2 oversea
There is a French speaking community in Quebec, but they all prefer to play on US ladder.

EU ladder was fine until NA invaded last in the last weeks. It wasn’t meant for being worldwide, It was designed for EU players, even ANet said so !!

It would be so simple to solve this and keep everyone happy : you want 24/7 action, wordwide coverage, etc ? then go to NA worlwide ladder. But please, respect the ones that don’t want it.

Why try to kitten up the localized servers that were fighting each other on EU ladder ?

NA guilds should get back to US ladder : EU ladder wasn’t designed for them.

there’s a lot of Spanish guilds playing guild wars, sorrows furnace most populated guilds are Spanish speaking they even have and alliance and u can find at least one Spanish speaking guild in almost every NA server.

Plus there’s a lot of Spanish speaking players playing in English speaking guilds, I’m one of those.

OK. I’ll bite is 8:30 PM CST and there’s no queue in any of the BL maps, except of in EB(5 minutes), yesterday was 30 min for EB and Friday was 10 min for all the maps, we haven’t had any increase in pvp population at least in the last 2 weeks. the queue time had been decreased compared to one or 2 months ago if u look at the charts.

I think it would be better if they get a 10 day lockout, only if they transfer to 2 or 3 top tiers pvp servers and a 7 day lockout for lower than tier 3 servers, it would help the lower servers and it would eliminate spying from a rival top server.
