Guild Wars 2

I would pay good money for a miniature animated flying book to go with my future firebrand. It would have a flying/resting animation like the bird minis do, and maybe some glowing blue runes on the pages. Maybe as it flaps its “wings” a page or two could flutter away in the breeze. I know it’s an oddball suggestion, but pretty please?

I totally agree with fixing the map instancing. It’s so annoying to have to keep changing maps!

I’d also like to suggest some cool banner placeables like the ones in Divinity’s Reach that have the different deities on them. A Grenth banner would be nice!

I like your placeable chest idea! I recently hosted a scavenger hunt in our guild hall using the tombstones with clues written on them. It would have been great to be able to place a prize in a chest for the winner.

The RC golem chess game would be awesome!

And I was thinking it would be cool to have some sort of placeable checkpoints that function in a similar way to the flags for the guild rush. It would be cool to build a race course for guild contests. Once you pass through all the checkpoints you can open the placeable chest at the end.

How about a mini-game similar to the wintersday bell choir game? Instead of just bells, it could offer you a choice of instruments to play- such as the bass guitar or drums. Guild wars guitar hero! :p

Great suggestions! I like the placeable/hireable npc idea. It would really give the guild hall some life! I want to hire a gardener to hang out and tend to my plants.

I totally agree that too many of the plants are in pots. How about some placeable masses of flowers? And speaking of potted plants and scaling… I was so disappointed when I crafted the potted blue orchid. For the price/mats to make it, it’s so tiny!!!

First off, I love the guild hall maps- They’re gigantic and beautifully designed, you can see how much work went into them. At the same time they feel so empty and lacking in things you can do while you’re there, aside from the arena and crafting. Why not put in some mini games that you can play against your guildies? How about a belcher’s bluff table in the tavern? Or at the very least, the tavern could sell the kits for it. Maybe a new unique mini game to play?

We could use some more items too, and items that are better scaled. I was so excited to craft the guild tables and benches- only to find that asurans are the only ones that can sit at them! They’re so tiny! They belong at a tea party, not a great hall feast! :p

Other decorations I’d like to see:
Some dark stuff, like placeable coffins/sarcophagi, bones
More varieties of plants/flowers/garden placeables
Books- stacks of them, books standing on end, laying flat

If anyone else has any ideas, I’d love to hear them!

I was thinking for the exalted style armor that maybe someone decided to pick up all those fallen masks and left over armor pieces to make something useful with them. All those poor sacrificed exalted for failed VW maps and all the wasted armor! The armor should look worn and battle scarred, but have that high metallic shine. The masks/helms should have some vinetooth claw marks. It should look pieced together. For the heavy set, the pieces should be fused to form plates. For medium, they should be held together with leather. And for light, the exalted pieces should have more of an ornamental look, like jewelry mixed with cloth pieces. Maybe to top everything off they could add a slight golden glow in places- not over the top, but enough to suggest that tiny amounts of energy might be left from the previous occupants.

Oh, that’s a great idea too! Something like the GW1 primeval armor for the dervish, but with saurian plates and horns instead. I loved that armor set!

I’d love to see some new armor sets that borrow themes from the new races/creatures in heart of thorns. Such as:

Exalted style armor- Bastion, burnisher, sage= Heavy, medium, light armors with that nice metallic sheen.

Chak armor- With creepy crawly movement, like wriggling leg spikes and blinking eyes. It would look great on a necromancer.

Hylek armor- Heavy armor could use the Aztec style design, while medium could borrow from the Itzel designs.
And please, not as outfits! I love to mix and match and to see other players’ unique creations.

How about a Glint-themed glider? Something to match the revenant’s shield/shoulder piece would be awesome. It would look great if it had the same effect as the shield. Please and thank you.

They gave us a Balthazar set, but how about showing some love for the other deities? I’d love to see a Grenth themed set some time! (And it would look amazing on the new reaper spec)

For most maps, the bonus reward will be crafting materials. For instance, playing in Cursed Shore could reward you with ancient bones, charged cores, charged lodestones, or giant eyes during one rotation, and powerful venom sacs, glacial cores, glacial lodestones, or globs of ectoplasm during another rotation.

That’s true. It would be nice if they could keep them as a really rare drop. They could always add a “disable player auras” checkbox in the graphics tab or simply disable them in crowded player events like they do with the miniatures. I’m not asking for anything too flashy, but just a little extra something to customize my characters with.

I was just wondering if there were any plans to add “giant eye” drops to any other areas of the game besides heavy moldy bags from Orr? I decided that I wanted an “Immobulus”, but they are currently non-existent at the trading post, and the cost for buying the mats to make one is through the roof! To grind for the mats would take an impossibly long time, considering the very low chance of getting the eyes from the bags. I was wondering if this material was simply overlooked. I would love to see more chances to for this to drop.

All great ideas! It would be nice to have a tab for auras that you unlock when you soulbind the item it comes with. Would be nice to have aura items as a rare drop with world bosses- Such as Tequatl dropping a dark cloud aura with flies, or cinders coming from the megadestroyer. Having a tab to unlock them in would also allow Anet to release gemstore auras as well. I’d love to see a leyline weapon aura too!

Oh, I like the snowflake idea. I agree that they should be rare drops, just like the preserved bee. And recipes to improve them would be awesome too!

I love the “preserved queen bee” accessory upgrade, the swarm of bees goes really well with my sylvari ranger. It would be nice to see more upgrades like this in the future. A bunch of butterflies perpetually flying around my mesmer would be nice. Maybe a whirling cloud of embers for a charr? I’d love to hear other ideas for upgrades like this.

HoD was my original server when the game first came out, and I was there for quite a while. All of this squabbling is the exact reason why I left. I would, however, like to give a shout out and salute to those on HoD that bravely fought together with us, our former comrades in arms. I know there are still honorable and good people on your server, it’s a shame that those lacking in it are the only ones posting on the forums. I was thinking more like the guild banner tonic to start. Maybe they could make it something upgradeable? To a more elaborate, larger banner? And then a holographic symbol with a flash of light sort of like the sanctified finisher? Make them customizable? There are so many things that Anet could do with this! Please, just give us some more ways to show loyalty for our guilds!
