It has to do with a trait you might have activated. When switching to air. It is the 15 point one. “Electric Discharge”. Instead of attacking the target it does more of an area around you.
Fix is incoming with next patch (I’m the one who fixed it). I think it affects female Sylvari exclusively.
This was posted by randyknapp (an ANet dev) on the GW2 sub-reddit earlier today, though after todays ‘sale’ patch; so hopefully glows will return in a week.

I wish we could get the fix patched in a content update before 2/26…seems this keeps happening to people. Not everyone reads the forums. send in a support ticket..use refunds as your drop down and they should refund you fairly quick.
Skip all mobs until you reach the room where are cannons.. If She bugs pull some mobs onto her and let them kill her :P…. This will reset the script and you can move on
I had her glitch bad on my squad one time. We pulled the oozes to her to kill her……. She started killing them (yea our jaws dropped when we saw her (alone) killing them). We eventually just called it glitched and left T.T .
If the conversion was set up right. This could help the economy. ( like if 5s = 1 gem then 50 Karma = 1 gem (rough guesses I do not know wt the gold to gem ratio is atm)). They, just need to maybe find a way to keep people from converting Karma → gem → gold. Which could exploit and would be tricky to set up.
ugh I started typing a good response and got ate. Short reply is, yes its a good idea. But FFXI did this very thing so it would not be the first game to do it.
It would take some time, but what was done in FF if you dont know was they had a set list of generic phrases: Hello, Nice to meet you, Goodbye, Do you want to group? Meet us at and so forth. Also the names of places were in there also , along with spells and skill and such….
I guess you do have a good point there. I tend to forget to KISS things (KISS =Keep It Simple Stupid. for those who don’t know) ( not keeping it simple is why I lose so many points in college a lot of the time), and I can see how it would help a lot if someone was in language classes. (Heavens knows I have learned more Spanish in video games then in a class room). Also, starting off small like you said disney (nice name btw) would help them know more on how to do it for every one.
Maybe if they had the servers with different languages on them so that instead of translating what was on the client side the servers would just translate each other, if they were connected at Anet then it would be a whole lot faster.
I admit this would be a good idea…… but. Implementing a translator that would translate any language into the language you want (most likely by a selection in settings) would be very tough.
Reason being, people do not speak perfect sentences in a game. ( okay some might but you know what I mean). Slang/ accronyms/ misspellings would be very hard to program into a translation program. ( Ever try slang in google translate… then translate it back to ur self … its kinda funny sometimes).
Not to mention with thousands of Dialects of hundreds of languages across the world each with there own sentence structure and word types ( verb, noun, adj… ect) and some with words mean totally different things in one language translated around can come out wrong(ex. wound -> Let’s go kill a boss. = japanese; = The will go to kill the boss.)
I like the idea so that we could all understand each other. But with all the gamer slang/ dialects/languages and tbh all the misspellings people do (I know I am horrible about it). Plus, the size of the program that would talk to a server that would hold the translations would not only be ginormous. It would cause lag in the chat of the game bc some thing would have to read everything we input then guess its meaning then translate to a setting that the user has set on their box. which would mean that the person with the slowest connection to the server would control the speed for the conv. just because they have to wait to find out what is said and in a crisis moment that could be bad lol.
Love the idea just atm( <-perfect example right there) I personally think it would be impractical.
There is a huge out cry for Elementalist. our forum is screaming with people asking to give Ele’s more damage because they are meant to be a Glass Cannon but a lot feel that they do not have the damage they should.
Also, can they add a way to change how a character looks after being created. Like recustomization.
