Bumping this up again (probably last bump for a while)
We have had a great response from this thread so far and are nearing our desired intake. We would rather be a small and close raiding guild rather than a large lfg guild. With that in mind, we are looking for just a few more members before closing recruitment. Everyone in the guild has had at least some experience with raids from beating individual bosses, to clearing a wing or two. If you liked what you read, and would like to learn raids and improve your skills with us, then please message myself or funball soon. Please also look at our loose requirements. We hope to start raiding this week.
Thanks!
EDIT: We have reached our goal intake and are not currently looking for any more members. Thanks everyone who has shown an interest.

Bumping this up.
I also want to add a few points as well. It’s quite clear now that there is a catch 22 associated with raids whereby it is difficult to get groups without much experience and hard to get said experience without groups taking you on. We are forming this guild with the idea of getting together a group of people who may not have the experience, but do have the gear, the builds, the foods, and most importantly, the mindset to tackle raids. Ultimately, we hope to have a static raiding party set up. We prefer people who would prefer laughing and joking on discord over raging and QQing, but be serious when they need to be. Ideally, we would also prefer you to have at least one char with fully ascended gear, but exceptions can be made if you show a strong interest in raiding.
If you have any questions, do ask us.
Thanks!
Ok other than NOOOO are there any actual arguments against this? There is no correlation to skill in any of the tiers, so this has nothing to do with competition. You will get better matchups if we base it on MMR and remove the pip loss system.
Or do people here not want better match ups? Just want to be carried into a high league so you have a special marker next to your name?
What do you mean other than “NOOOO”? People have told you why.
Yup, people have already explained why. They can make changes to matchmaking to reduce frustration, but removing pip loss below diamond defeats the point of league. I’m sorry, but not everyone should be hand-held into diamond or handed a shiny backpiece on a platter OP.

I agree with most of what you said OP. However, I’m not sure whether all the changes previewed so far were the best way forward for the thief. I have said why I think so in a couple other threads so won’t repeat them here.
Outside of the above, I would have rather seen your changes implemented rather than the ones we got (specifically to basilisk venom and fleet shadow/instant reflexes). I would love to see the other elite skills get some love. I think the ability to deal with boons should have been distributed more between necros and thieves. The necro changes to boon corruption and AA boon corruption seem a bit much. Those changes could have been less drastic with better distribution of dealing with boons between them and us. It makes thematic sense for thieves too. Above all, I would love to see trickery be a choice rather than mandatory.
30% is quite a big buff I think. Combined with our new passive evasion and unblockable basilisk venom I worry about us being seen as a dumbed down and skill-less class like certain other professions currently. With the other buffs, I think a 15-20% damage increase would have been better to test the waters. Looking holistically at all other known changes and statements the devs made about this meta, I guess they really want to make sure that there is no remote chance of a bunker meta next season, which I am quite happy about. Still, they are taking us into deep waters which will be quite interesting to see as it develops. The increased attack speed of s/d is very nice and I think s/d did deserve a buff after the amount of times they nerfed it. Coupled with daredevil dodges and the new passive evasion, it has a good chance of seeing a return to meta. Again though, I worry that the new passive evasion when combined with daredevil dodges will cause everyone to call us cancerous like the chrono bunker mesmer is now with all their invulns, evades and blocks. I do agree that we needed more survivability, but not sure if giving us passives was the answer…it does give us what other classes have I suppose…mixed feelings.
Thanks for testing out by the way.
I love my thief, but have mixed feelings based solely on this preview. While thieves have been left out of the pvp meta for some time now as other classes powercreeped us out, I wonder if powercreep is the best way to fight powercreep. Ideally, I would have just loved to see a tone down of all other professions across the board except for us, warriors, and non-trap guardians. While I welcome buffs to my favourite class, I just hope we don’t become the cheese class next season. I don’t want to see 2+ thieves in every team and/or for everyone to jump on a thief bandwagon like some professions this season, nor do I want to see people have legitimate complaints about us being OP. What I want I guess is balance across the board. Maybe it’s not so much the buffs we received, but the nerfs or lack of buffs other classes recieved in comparison that makes me worried (and yes I know we have been constantly nerfed throughout the ages, but that is still not a justiably good reason for us to be vengeful). Anyways, I will reserve full judgement until I see the rest of the patch notes. Hoping for a better meta than this one next season.
I love love love reading all these red posts from devs. It made for nice reading. Thanks for taking the time to come and introduce yourselves
After killing the final boss, but before the little chest in the bottom corner of our screen popped up, 3/5 of my pug group got kicked out of the instance randomly. We weren’t ported to the usual location you end up after finishing the dungeon. Instead, we got ported to the sky and dropped down into some waters. We didn’t crash so I can’t really provide much more information I don’t think :S
So anyway to just see my statistic?
I’ve been encountering this issue recently and the in game statistic for pvp is quite disappointing.

Not currently possible because of an issue. It was reported months ago, and is known to Anet. There is no eta on a fix, but they are ‘working on it’.

I just looked through your post history and found this:
And its simple you have your DS woooohah but what if 3 pple focus you? you enter DS and boom you are dead. Dead class cant help its team ;-) Trust me i rolled mesmer and engie and I never come back to necro unless they fix the class because right now its joke.
I laughed hard at this. So the guy called necs a joke when they couldn’t handle being focussed by three people before patch, and now complains when they can handle being focussed by three people post-patch. Lol. This degree of irony is funny.
That aside, I do think certain nec builds are maybe a bit too tanky right now. There was this one nec I saw who tanked two thieves easily on a point, and it took a third person to get him down, but it took a long time. I find it hard to say which classes are OP when I think the power creep is so high across the board at the moment. I will just observe how the meta develops as the devs adjust certain builds soon enough.
The question is, did he actually down the thieves? No? Well, there you go. Perfectly balanced. Unlike sth. like warrior that can just take endure pain etc. and be completely invulnerable while still doing “tons of damage”.
Lol. I will just say your assumption was wrong. But the rest of your reply is valid since it’s your opinion

I can see why your posts get deleted. You’re very toxic. I’m sure the devs will make further changes to this new-forming meta, but not with help from unconstructive posts like yours. There’s already heavy constructive discussion on this matter elsewhere.
This was a very nice read. Thank you guys for the address and the changes. It will surely mean a lot to many people.
In case anyone missed it, Evan Lesh had this to say about Skyhammer in Vee Wee’s thread:
Skyhammer: Obligatory “Nothing is off the table”. (except deleting skyhammer)
I’m not too happy about the short response considering how many people have voiced their strong opinions about it on this thread, but then again, I’m about to take another break from guild wars 2 and have mostly given up on Skyhammer for now…hopefully when I return it will be fixed but I’m unsure.
Good posts, but you don’t put forward any ideas of your own on how to fix the fundamental issues surrounding hotjoin. I won’t repeat my ideas here as I agreed with others who you disagreed with on the other thread via my own posts there, so I know what your reply will be.
Did you actually read my posts (and the thread) from the start? Or did you get the impression that I must be some out-of-touch elitist and continue to follow that narrative?
I put out one very obvious condition: the 500-200 rank reward gap (and corresponding reward track progress) does not reflect the casual nature of hotjoin and turns it much more competitive (and unbalanced) than it should be.
But the truth of the matter is this: hotjoin will bear the brunt of the rank farmers because ANet does not want them going and spoiling rated arena matches.
I also think that ideas that were dismissed by you in the other thread would have at least discouraged negative behaviour in hotjoin.
I dismissed them because they all said to stop there. They frantically and rabidly pointed at spectate mode abuse while ignoring the stacking and 5v4 situations, many a result from reward disparity and focus on winning, that led to them in the first place. I said it then and I’ll say it again here: 5v5 matches can’t be abused with spectate mode. Stacking would continue and would even get worse, as there would be one less way to counter it.
Yes to all your posts (I did say you had good posts), and yes to the thread. If you do care, I don’t think you’re ‘some out-of-touch elitist that continues to follow the narrative’
With that out of the way, I don’t think I have anything more to say to you now as I have said all that I wanted to say about this issue in this thread and the other.
That’s a brilliant idea!
But I do hope the devs might think otherwise
Perhaps to improve on your idea a bit (or just for even better ideas!) you should take a look at this thread?
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/pvp/Spectate-Mode-should-be-removed-from-Hot-join The issue has been discussed much more over there
You do realize I’ve been one of the main participants of that discussion right? I’ll tell you what I’ve told others in the other thread as well: shallow solutions will have you right back here crying for more change for the sake of change.
Ah now that you mention it I have read some of your posts there

I won’t repeat my ideas here as I agreed with others who you disagreed with on the other thread via my own posts there, so I know what your reply will be. Still, this isn’t change for the sake of change, as the issues are actually quite big. If no change happens then the future looks bleak. Why don’t we implement removing rank as a tentative first step? You yourself said it was a right step, albeit small and I agree! but I also think that ideas that were dismissed by you in the other thread would have at least discouraged negative behaviour in hotjoin. I can’t say I know the perfect solution that will resolve all the issues completely but if you do, please say so, and unless you do, trial and error seems the only option…unless we wait the lifespan of gw2 in the hope someone to come up with it.
i still don’t see the issue here….
The issue is that people stack at the beginning of matches on the higher ranked team. They do this by going spectator mode and checking player’s ranks so if they see at the start it’s a 1v1 between a r10 v r80 they will clearly be tempted to join the r80 creating a 2v1. What happens can be that people don’t want to join the r10 and would prefer to hope for a space on the other side. This leads to issues such as people just spectating and not joining in and leaving the game at uneven numbers or matches of low ranks vs high ranks. I see this on a daily basis when I play.
Removing rank will not fix this. The r80 has the Legendary Champion title and a dragon finisher. Should we remove those too?
That’s a brilliant idea!
But I do hope the devs might think otherwise

Just had another bad auto balance session. I was on the winning team but then auto-balanced to the losing team where I stayed to the end. Every few seconds auto balance would kick in as someone left our team which made the match sorta even at 4v4…but this only lasted a split second as the other team miraculously found a fifth player. Every time. While we didn’t. I’m hoping that by bumping this up, the issue won’t be forgotten.
After thinking about this I feel like many of you think that every dev should have complete understanding of every aspect of this game. And my gut reaction is to say that it is unreasonable to expect that from us, after all Guild Wars 2 is a huge game, and even now I am still discovering new things in it. And whether or not it is reasonable to expect that, it is not that I don’t have complete understanding due to a lack of trying. I mean sure I only spend about 20 hours a week on my own time playing Guild Wars 2, this does not include the time that ArenaNet sets aside for all of their employees to play the game, and sometimes it can be hard to get through jumping puzzles, fractals, WvW, activities, sPvP, dungeons, tPvP, living story, Hot-Joins, crafting, guild missions, ect with only a finite amount of time each week to play. I could probably cut more time out of playing other games, enjoying my hobbies, working to improve my programming ability, trying to maintain friendships and spending time with family to play more Guild Wars, but right now that isn’t something I am willing to do. So instead I’m just going to understand that some players are going to see problems that I don’t. And ask them for as much information I can so that the problem can be identified and fixed. And I appreciate that our players understand this as well and are willing to bring these problems up in a polite and respectful manner.
I agree and understand that it is impossible to expect a dev to devote so much time to guild wars 2, but nonetheless spectator mode was introduced almost a year and a half ago. Surely one dev should have noticed ranks being visible during that time even on a 20 hour a week playtime? I myself just play casually and sometimes real life means I don’t even play 20 hours a week and take breaks every now and again. Being so casual means I don’t do arena’s and just often play hotjoin. I can only guess that dev’s at Anet either don’t like or play the spvp part of the game much, or they just play solo or team arena’s when they do. Although casual, I noticed the ability to see ranks very quickly, but like a poster above hinted, I had no reason to believe it was an unintended feature. Regardless, I’ve talked, and have seen others talk about the stacking of high ranks vs low ranks on other threads including on the ‘remove spectator mode’ thread. Surely if it was an unintended feature then a dev who did read the thread should have had alarm bells ringing when they read that. I cannot blame a single dev, but I am just disheartened at this.
Where are you seeing rank as a spectator?
Where the experience bar is.
Thanks for reporting this issue. This is not the intended design!
I am happy that you are being honest but…I’m a little taken aback :| The ability to see ranks as a spectator has been one of the key factors driving huge team imbalances before a match even begins. I am just taken aback that it’s been such a big problem for such a long time but to find out now that not only was it not intended, but that it has only been brought to dev attention now :| I’m not sure whether it’s just me but how many people who have actually spent a reasonable amount of time in spvp hotjoin never noticed the ability to see ranks in spectator mode?? Now I don’t know the answer but I would think quite a lot of people must have… I’m just shocked that devs haven’t until now :|
In any case, as it’s not intended, please fix it soon.

Glad there is a thread about this. I don’t normally lag but when I started to lag quite badly at times over the last few days, I initially thought it was just my internet or something as it used to be bad. However, today I was playing and at the end of the match, someone asked whether anyone else experienced a 5 sec lag and just about everyone said yes so I now wonder if it’s really a problem on my end :S
I can’t agree more! I used to love spvp so much but since spectator mode became a thing, the problem of match manipulation has been just rampant and negatively affecting my experience a lot. I can’t actually believe it’s gone on this long without being fixed. Can’t tell why Anet haven’t fixed this yet; they turned a blind eye? Don’t play hotjoin much? or just too much effort to fix? I don’t know. I just know it’s now finally been addressed in the other spectator mode thread…but I have my doubts it will be fixed anytime soon. Nevertheless, I feel this ‘exploit’ has been ruining the experience for many, especially new players. I feel rank is no clear indicator of skill given skyhammer farming, but it does show experience! That, or I feel people mistake rank for skill and all hop onto spectator mode at the start to see which side has the higher ranked ppl and then join them. This generally creates landslide victories, and when I stumble onto such unbalanced matches, I myself just root for the underdog team hoping they pull a win.
I hope I’m not alone when I say that I quite enjoy Vee Wee’s constant use of third person and etc. It’s quite refreshing and funny especially in this spvp section where the mood isn’t exactly light. Have to say also that Vee Wee makes good points and I do agree in principle with all of them although I wonder whether the suggestions to leavers may harshly impact on people whose connections may not be the most stable :/
This thread started with finding a way to NOT let people force auto-balance through spectator mode to get on the winning team. Now I’m hearing that this must be preserved with any hotjoin changes because it ‘balances’ the match. I would much prefer players sit an extra minute in a 4v5 to let someone new fill the spot then let players constantly jumble the teams.
I believe the op also mentioned how spectator mode is a problem even before the auto balance stage at mid match. It is also a huge problem before the game even begins. I’m certain I am not the only one who has noticed like the OP that many people at the beginning will just sit at spectator mode looking at the ranks of each potential team and join the highest ranking team, or if a spot isn’t available on the higher ranked team, wait for someone to join the lower ranked team and then quickly join the other team. I’ve noticed this so much since I came back to play guild wars 2 a couple months back and I think it’s quite common to see teams comprised mostly of r60+ v low ranks.
Now I know many people say that rank is no longer an indication of a player’s skill given the rampant rank farming that has been going on, but if at the beginning of a match, you see an r5 on one side, and an r80 on the other…I think you would be very tempted to join the r80 thinking it will be an easy win and I think this has become a not uncommon mentality amongst people in hotjoin. A lot of the matches where I have seen auto balance manipulation going on has been in matches with these unbalanced teams, where lower ranks will try to auto balance to join the winning team. In truth, I have some sympathy for them although it is still clearly wrong to manipulate auto balance like that. On the other hand, it is also wrong for high ranks to all join the bandwagon before a match begins.
Because of the above, I have come to believe that the problem is cyclical. If you want to fix the problem with spectator mode, you have to also target it at the beginning of the match. My first suggestion is simple, make it impossible to see ranks until later in the game via either spectator mode, and just clicking a player’s name on the side red/blue team tabs before a match starts. Please consider this in addition to however you may wish to address the auto balance issue mid game. The issue is leaving a bad taste.
If you want a slightly more complicated suggestion, then here’s one: in the pvp tab, make a ‘spectate now’ button in addition to the ‘play now’ button, and make it so that when you press ‘play now’, you are automatically and randomly placed in a team and cannot swap. If you choose to ‘spectate now’, you go into spectator mode and lose the ability to join the match you are spectating but can go spectate other matches. Was this how hotjoin was in the beginning? I forget. This way, you can spectate if you wanna learn, or play if you wanna play and there’s no abusing spectator mode.
raid on the capricorn
I liked this map and was sad to see them simply remove it. I understand why it was removed but I would see more complaint threads about skyhammer and the orb runners.
I actually quite liked that map too and was sad to see it go
Back to Skyhammer though, I find it a little maddening that Anet responded to that 3 hours old thread ’ Potential change to Arenas coming soon…’ but not once in this 4 month old thread that has now attracted over 1k posts. I think a little (or large) part may be due to pride as they bigged it up too much before it’s release and to remove it now would make them look bad…although they aren’t looking too good just ignoring this large issue. Then again, if they don’t find it an issue, then they should just pop in and say so. At this point, it’s looking like they just want this issue and thread to die down quietly rather than swallow pride (although this point may have been reached earlier).
Skyhammer is another massive problem in spvp like spectator mode. I haven’t read all the past 19 pages but I’m sure what I would have said has already been said. That said, I’m disappointed that there hasn’t been a single dev response in this long thread about this long standing problem. I don’t think removing it now like raid on the capricorn will fix the damage it has done i.e giving some people higher ranks than they deserve.
I feel this issue needs to be highlighted. I just came back from a long break from gw2 and the seemingly rampant match manipulations is making the experience a bad one. If it’s not high ranking players stacking on top of each other at the start of the match to create an uneven playing field before the game begins, it’s the losing team going to spectator mode to force an autobalance and then join the winning team. What results can sometimes be an autobalance war or people just leaving the match altogether. I love the idea of spectator mode and has helped me learn from watching more experienced players since coming back. However, it is clearly being abused and I see it frequently. Sometimes, when I suspect it is happening, I just spectate for a couple games and quite often, my suspicions are confirmed when I see names bouncing to the other side. I don’t presume to know the varied reasons why people do it, but I can guess it may be due to the sour taste of losing (a bad reason), or to break apart a group of high ranking players that stacked at the beginning of matches (a better reason-ish but then the problem becomes cyclical).
So what can be done to alleviate the problem and make pvp less frustrating?
I agree with the solution posted by the OP in this earlier thread which also preserves the intention behind spectator mode:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/pvp/Two-fixes-to-improve-hotjoin-servers-by-ANet
Please take a hard look at this problem Anet because I don’t think it’s a small one.
Hello, thanks for taking the time to read this thread. I am looking for a good guild to join, but there is something I feel is worth mentioning, and that is that I’m a uni student and when I return to uni, I don’t play online games because I can’t bring my computer with me. I know that will probably be a deal breaker for many but I hope some won’t view that as too bad if they read this to the finish and can find other good things about me.
I have played guild wars 2 since launch with a long time guild that I have been in since near enough launch of gw1 (my first mmo). Reason I am looking for a new guild now really is because I feel a lot of its original core members have left and many of the newer members have gone as well so guild activity has sort of died. I love playing this game whenever I get a break from uni to be back at home. I’m currently on summer holiday so will have about a month or so worth of playtime and I expect to be quite/very active during this period. Having been away from guild wars 2 since pretty much last summer…except for coming back for a stint during Christmas holidays, I feel the game has changed a lot and without an active guild I feel a bit lost. I love doing dungeons, but without an active guild this seems hard to do now as I constantly see pugs advertising for experienced players or specific builds, and I feel quite noobish after my return to attempt to join them. For this reason, I would love to join a guild that actively does dungeons and has a friendly atmosphere. Knowing that a lot has probably changed, I am keen to learn. On the side, I am also really enthusiastic about spvp, world bosses and guild events. However, given my connection to my current guild, I can’t completely represent a single guild 100% as yet as there are still a few old faces playing in it albeit not actively, although I would still love to meet new people. Saying this though, I will probably represent any new guild I join about 90% of the time.
Additional in game info about me are:
I main thief which is well equipped with zerk gear
I have 4 other alts although only my ele is level 80…but lacks good gear.
I’m currently on the Aurora Glade server.
Dunno what else really.
I know a couple of things I mentioned above may count against me severely, but thanks for taking the time to read this to the end, and I hope to perhaps hear from people.
Just to help some people because a few of my guildies were also wondering, I will tell you all what happens when you infuse a ring that previously had mf stats before the mf update.
So, I logged in and saw my Yakkington’s ring’s stats could be changed. I opted for zerker stats. Next, I infused it at the forge and when it came out….I could select the stats again
Hope this helps some people
Hi guys,
After some careful investigation of these achievements, we believe there are a few technical restrictions and communication issues that are causing the problems here.
First, Molten and Pirate events do not grant achievement credit. This means that if you hop into an invasion right as scarlet spawns, or if you spend an entire invasion on pirate and/or molten events, you will not get achievement credit for that map.
Second, disconnecting during an invasion seems to have some odd effects on participation credit, especially if you end up switching maps in the process (i.e. moving to a different overflow). You should still get credit if you participate in at least one watchwork event after reconnecting, but if you disconnect, you should assume your participation credit up to that point has been lost. This is far from ideal, but it would be a code-level fix, and we wouldn’t be able to get it in before the end of the event.
Lastly, because the previous two issues are not super obvious, people may be losing track of which maps they have already gotten credit for. The meta rewards are always given as long as you’re on the map when it ends. Many players expect this to mean that they also received achievement credit (which ideally should be a reasonable assumption). However, as this is not always the case, they may mark off a map as complete, even though they did not receive achievement credit.
So in order to receive achievement credit, you need to participate and complete at least one watchwork portal event, and still be on the map when the meta ends. It doesn’t matter how far the meta gets progressed, and you don’t need to participate in any Molten/Pirate events.
Hopefully this clarifies some things for you, and many apologies for any frustration this has caused. In the future, we will try to ensure that large-scale achievements like this are more easily trackable to cut down on any potential confusion.
It’s great that this clarifies the problem, but it does not fix it in anyway. This is an incredibly frustrating bug. I’m stuck on 12/13 and aside from Fireheart and Frostgorge (friend of fire and frost achievement done) I have no idea which one I am missing. I made a list the first time and know I’ve done all maps, but because of this oversight of yours, I’ve now had to do each map multiple times. After doing these invasions so much, it doesn’t only get boring, it gets frustrating. Now that we know why, you expect me to go and wait for each map to pop up and do them all again in the hopes that I get that 1/13 chance to get lucky?? This also means I will have to keep checking on the invasion status EVERY hour. What exacerbates this situation is you FORCE us to stay on the main/overflows for almost the whole duration, unless we can get a taxi from friends or guildies. With only 5 days left you’re putting pressure on me to waste a lot of time on guild wars 2 doing something I do not enjoy. It’s become so annoying that I would rather just leave the achievement if it wasn’t for the fact it will stay there FOREVER after this living story has passed. I DO NOT want to have to see that I was always 12/13 for the invasion and knowing I will never be able to get it.
Anet, I am asking you to either tell us what we are missing or make the achievement disappear from our accounts after the story has passed. I’m fed up.
(edited by Darkk.3018)
I said this again, but I feel it can’t be said enough. The solo que system as it is right now is bad. But the problem is exacerbated by Anet’s strong silence to replying to any of these problems, or anything in general that requires an answer other than “yay congratulate us for blah blah blah” and a few other generic answers. Have you guys seen that stickied thread at the top of this board? The one regarding transferring to another region and tournament chests?? Have you seen Anet’s responses since they acknowledged the problem 10 months ago?? The last vague update they gave it was 4 months ago and that was that they and no ETA on the fix.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/pvp/Tournament-chests-and-transferring-between-server-regions/page/3#post2571804
In the background of all these problems is Anet’s never ending strive to improve on cosmetics. Heck they tend to reply more to those sorts of questions than any other I feel. Just look at Anet’s response to the pvp needs more titles thread:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/pvp/Survey-Do-you-want-more-PvP-achievements/page/2#post2632986
“We agree wholeheartedly so we are devoting time and resource to improve on this incredibly important game-breaking issue”
Whilst I think pvp has so many problems, it is only one facet of a bigger problem, and I wish that I never invested any time on guild wars 2 or waited for it so belatedly ever since it was announced all those years ago.
You told us you would not rush out the game, and that you would only release when you were ready and sure of the game. I think you lied (canthan/great collapse quick fix being the most obvious example.)

I was just about to make a thread for this. The situation is too much now I feel. More than 1/3 of my games these last 2 days days have had either an afk or leaver. I think more needs to be done not just for leavers, but afk’s too. I find that instead of leaving now, people just afk the whole match. On multiple occasions I’ve seen them just simply tell the team they are going to afk which infuriates me. What’s worse is you can’t even report them. WHY??? It’s becoming unbearable to suffer through a 3 or 4v5 match because of how frequently they occur.
The thing that makes all of this so much worse is Anet’s silence. WHY, just WHY won’t you guys say anything about the problem?? I’m sure you guys lurk and read all our posts, but can’t you guys just tell us that you recognise this problem and are working on it?? What is wrong? Don’t want to acknowledge it because it will be too much effort to then correct it?? We need communication on this Anet.
Here are my solutions:
1. Improve dishonor from 3 day ban to a week.
2. Make it mandatory to press the ‘I am ready’ button or be kicked and replaced.
3. Make akitteng a reportable offense.
4. If one leaves or is found to have afk’d, give them a 1 hour ban and a stack of dishonored

Even though I was not affected by this bug, it has left me worried should a situation like this happen to me. I would like to ask whether you’ve changed your email responses to people? If I knew I was completely innocent, I would be very distressed to receive an email that said
“The account will remain permanently closed and is not eligible for reactivation under any circumstances.” or
“and we will not entertain further discussion about this incident. Subsequent tickets will be closed without response.”
Those responses would horrify me if I received them and I would not know what other avenues of help I could use given that the official forums would be banned? I could always try other forums/reddit but sceptics will be everywhere :/ I do think chances of things like this happening are pretty slim, but I have experienced things that I’m told also only had a small percentage of happening.
Can we get an update on this situation? It is incredibly frustrating especially when you do a fractal level that is hard to find a group for. A month later and all that is said is “we are working on it”. Can you be frank and say if the fix is going to be well into the new year or not? I am tired of having to repeat dungeon levels because when one person d/c’s, ragequitting usually follows. Being an hour or so into a fractal when this happens makes it more frustrating. What makes this worse is you don’t update us properly on the progress of the fix so all we can do is keep hoping it will be soon.
I think this issue has been voiced already, but I agree, it is an truly annoying and frustrating situation if it happens to you, especially if you are just about to reach the wrodl boss like event. I hope this is a bug.
