I’m the parent who plays. I’m 52, and my sons, aged 24 and 19, both play as well. As far as MMORPGs go I think this is a good starting place. Good luck to your Mom and you as well.

It was either last beta event, or headstart… nailed in the kitten by a spider.

Overall I’ve enjoyed the Tower. I like the concept of the chambers in the middle of open world content. I like that the final chamber can be done solo or in a group. I’ve done it both ways and enjoyed it. Yes, it’s a challenge but that’s all right w/ me. The main reason I’ve quit going since I got the achievements and the mask is those red circles. It’s not even because I can’t dodge out of them, most of the time I’m successful at that. Not always, I’ve been bounced around plenty, but for the most part I can get out in time.

But the red circle, followed by the flash, was beginning to be “stuck” behind my eyelids when I’d go to bed at night. If I can play earlier in the day it’s not so bad, but if my only play time is shortly before going to bed I just work on leveling an alt instead of playing in the tower.

Another to add to the list. I have two characters created during head start. My alt has rec’d birthday gift but my main has not. Both characters have used the full make over kit. Both show 12 mos. checking /age.

I’m loving it. The first time I got into an event out in the world I did have some graphic issues. After that I went back to DR (and I was referring to it as “DR” w/ friends even before Farren in Southsun) and played a bit w/ my settings. Next time it was great, no issues. I did have the issue that some others have mentioned w/ the voice and written script not lining up correctly in the cut scene, but otherwise it was fine for me. Loved the style of it, and Farren was perfectly done. Fit his character like a glove.

The events are intense, lots of people all working together. I’ve enjoyed every bit of it. Didn’t get all five that I needed tonight due to real life obligations, but I’ll catch up before the week is out I’m sure.

So from me, thank you ANet. I’m enjoying every minute of it, and I’m sure I’ll continue to do so as the story progresses.

Went back to double-check around the cart, still nothing. Checked all around the yard of the orphanage and back towards the slide, not there. I’ll shoot a note to Support.

Yeah, I used the gift. I’m wondering now if I messed up using it out in the world instead of actually being in the Home Instance.

Thanks, just wanted to double check before that I wasn’t just walking past it somehow before I sent a note to Support.

So am I just blind or something, because I’ve walked all over my home instance in Salma District and I can’t find the quartz node. I did get the 16 achievements, and it shows it my panel, but I can’t find the node now.

Couple of new outfits for my Necro main.

I had a great time running for them. It got me back into parts of the world I haven’t played much lately, and apparently a lot of other people as well. Did several events I haven’t done in a while and had plenty of people alongside who were doing the same. It was great fun, and was the closest I’ve seen to truly enjoyable random group events throughout the world since just after launch.

Dyes are, if I remember correctly, Deep Glacial Teal, Ancient Silver and Morning Sea for first pic; Black Cherry, Midnight Fire and Celestial for second.
