I like how Dinky gave our story some foreshadowing (talking about how Howl was going to give him the amulet) from the get go. It gives a nice sense of connection that I’ve yet to find in the other races.
Wish I could’ve kept Dinky AND Maverick.
Depends on what you are looking for. If it’s more damage you want then Sigil of Air is pretty good, another decent one is the health steal on crit for more survivability.
I can’t think of any specific runes atm since most for them you’ll be wanting their special abilities over the stats, but until you’ve discerned what you want I’d recommend something like Ruby/Beryl Orbs since they’re cheap and give comparable stat boosts to runes.

This is my Charr Hexton!
That looks much better than it did when I previewed it.
It seems my charr prefers more dapper attire.

This happened to me and my friend as well, it appears as if we got splintered onto the wrong story. After the dwarfen tome quest the NPCs started talking about adventures with Apatia and a krait orb which we never had, leaving us thoroughly confused and no mention of this ancient tome we’d just retrieved was brought up again.
EDIT: After going back and checking it seems to have happened at: Destroy Boneship -> Fort Trinity -> (suddenly) Liberating Apatia

Anybody else finding it very difficult to find an explorable dungeon group?

Having groups where all 5 members aren’t dedicating all of their time/utilities/traits towards damage is usually the best place to start (this is far too often the case).
Other than that all I can say is dodge often and be thankful the Spider Queen has been made pitiful compared to the monster she was in beta.
Don’t agree about the spirits. Their activation chance and passive effects aren’t very good, never mind the chance of stone activating at the right moments. Their range is only 900 meaning they’ll only be on the ranged people if left still. The other options are to have them follow you or move them closer, leaving them in more danger and they are very squishy (even when fully traited).
Fully agree about the shouts and signets tho

For groups and dungeons I’ve loved using trap builds, particularly frost and fire for the combo fields.
As for recommendations I heartily recommend Axe/Warhorn for general PVE (since I assume that’s what you’re playing) as either a first or second set.
This happened on my server as well (Desolation). We experienced periods in which the dragon was un-targetable but would not summon more walls (possibly around the point it got stuck?). After that it never went to a 2nd phase and just flew off at 0% health, leaving the event stuck with no dragon and no chest.
