Did a repair of my client and might or might not be a coincidence, but I can log in now.
Belgium (Telenet), can’t log in either.
I thought forum used the same login servers and can log in just fine in here…
Just close the gap with those ranged mobs, line of sight them
Doing fine on D/D pretty much all the time. Arcane shield and glyph of storms (earth) help well enough in PvE to take the edge a bit of those encounters.
No need to switch to focus really.
42k karma, missing leggings with those stats though, you’ll need to get that from HotW or SF afaik.
Regarding attunement swap I’d just like to see that if you’ve invested in a trait line like fire, that the CD on fire is lowered a bit too, in addition to the CD reduce from Arcane.
The penalty for swapping to another attunement for a bit is lower because you’d be able to get back faster to an attunement you’ve put several points in.
Wouldn’t be such a massive change either..

I probably would have had it a dozen times over already. Unfortunately, mine has been stuck for weeks now at the same value, which has made it completely impossible for me to finish the monthly achievement. I’m hoping the reset will fix it (and that it won’t break again this time).
The bar will remain on the max amount of xp you achieved without dieing, if you surpass that amount you will see progress again.
Followed a very similar line as the OP it seems, with pretty much the same ‘wtf?’-moments
Was an annoying fight as an elementalist too, because the utility skill that depend on attunement were ‘stuck’ in the attunement you used when you entered the personal story. Meaning pretty much all of the glyphs couldn’t be used in the element you actually wanted.
Especially noticed some strangeness in the Mirror, Mirror quest, where apparently the wardens who bring the mirror (which I retrieved from the skritt), got rescued from Orr by Trahearne instead of by me…

With the channel skill yes, even when you don’t have traits invested in air.
If you quick cast Phoenix while in a fire field, you will not get the area might bonus
Guess you target the phoenix to an area outside the fire field.

The Blast element is based on where the phoenix “explodes” (per the description), which is at the end of its path before returning. The combo applies if the phoenix is in or near a field at that point and not whether the Elementalist started the Phoenix cast by a field.
But we’re not the lowest in the game. That prize goes to Thief.
We have the same base hp as thief (and guardian)
