I’m aware of what fresh air does in this instance, but that is not solution. Unless you’d play with fresh air anyway, it is just a workaround, just as utility “pure” casting is.
Not everyone wants to play air line, but than again not everyone have my dilemma, so..

I know it is different than ele/tempest, and I don’t have problem with that. I also don’t have problem with learning new playstyle, my problem is when new mechanics put restrictions on core skills you had for a long time. In both ele/tempest if your attunement is on cd, thats your problem, but Weaver come with new benefits(shorter cd), but also restrictions of those same benefits(only half skillswap and global cd on swap).
I don’t mind the idea in general, but cd for double attunement(full attunement of one element) should not be limited same way as attuning to “new” element, bcs you already took the first step.

imo using utility for “pure” swaping isn’t great idea, unless it also does something else, bcs it’ll take the space which could be used for something better for event that may or may not happen(need to quickly use 4th or 5th skill). This should be adressed in core mechanics, not as an option which you can take

Interesting question, i’d guess it’s based on order of attunements used, so you probably should end up Air-Fire.

First, i’d like to say i’m quite interested in the Weaver mechanics, but one think has been bugging me about it.
Please correct me if i’m wrong.
As far as I know, attunement swap have now global cd of 3s(even for attunement swapping into), swap will give you 1st and 2nd skill of the new attunement, 3rd will be mixed skill of both(for wielded weapons) and you’ll keep 4th and 5th skill from previous attunement.

So to explain, let’s imagine staff ele starting in fire attunement. For him/her to get any sort of waterfield(assuming that fire/water mixed spell is not waterfield), they have to wait 3s to either double attune to water to get all 5 spells, or go water-something else to get only one water field, which in situation when you need quick access to a specific spell from second half of your skill bar will get annoying extremely fast.

Wouldn’t reducing cd for double attunement swapped into(for those who wants second half of the skillbar) make more sense?

Also needing to go full zerk ( which means 19k hp and around 2.3 – 2.5k toughness ) with our only sustain being healsig + endure pain trait basically means,we dont have any sustain at all.

Oh, is that really that hard for warrior? I’m so sorry to hear that from my biased ele point of view. I know that ele is soo much OP with 13k hp and 1.9k thougness(full zerker staff ele) and hardly any skill that would give 8+k dmg on one hit, because most of our skills are aoe from which you can just walk away. And if we really want to do dmg, we HAVE to stand like idiots in place for 3s(and again it’s aoe so..), so i’m really sorry that your warrior have so little sustain it’s almost unbearable, you should definitely tell that to devs so they can do something about it.

Ok, ele have invul, but we can do kitten in it, we have magnetic aura which is 4s long and have 30s cd(which in normal wvw fight is usefull only if warior stands right next to you so you can see him, or you have to be luckiest person in that fight), lightning flash is not really that usefull against GunFlame since you usually don’t know from where they will shot and please tell me what good is regen if you get dmg equal to 1,5 times of you MAX health.

I think Rebound needs to give stability for starters ; the heal ought to scale a bit more.

2-3K heal isn’t going to save anyone.

Wut? It’s not like almost any class can give you 2-3k only with autoattack.

It’s funny when you get healed by rebound and right after that you get 5k autoattack, but to be fair, you did survived 1s longer…

I don’t want to balance it, i want to disable it! Right now you can overload in Mist Form, but duration of Mist Form is much shorter than casting time of Overload so you never finish it and instead end up with 20s CD on that attunement.
As if it wasn’t hard enough to finish casting on your own, because you don’t have stability on 3/4 of overloads and believe me that one stack from Harmonious Conduit is not enough. Now you have to make sure you are out of Mist Form as well otherwise you just wasted you overload for 20s.

So if you try overload in mist form it fails and go into 20s cd? instead properly: you try to use overload while in mist form and system alert that you can’t do that and nothing happens?

It doesn’t exactly fail. As i understand it, overload activates, but as soons as Mist Form ends it cancel overload with it(=>20s CD). So yeah there should definitely be some sort of system alert instead of this.

And about mist form its lack one major thing: leave tranformation. Its tranformation and yet doesn’t have it. I understand negative transform like moa doesn’t have have it, but why putting mist form in line with it?

That’s whole another rabit hole, sure there are some moments when would be nice to use only 1-1,5s of Mist Form to get out of spike and cancel it manually so you can do other stuff right away, but why bother with something that last for only 3s…

First of all I get why you shouldn’t be able to cast Attunement Overload in Mist Form, but can we at least get “You can’t use this skill right now” message instead of 20s CD?
It’s very annoying if you need to activate Overload as soon as posible and you’re screwed by clicking split second too soon.

  • Points per kill will be turned on and kept on. This is to more directly recognize the contribution that fighting other players adds to the success of the world.

I’d rather grant ppk when you stomp someone, as it was used on old borderlands with ruins buff. Sure ppk is good and all, but you don’t really need to reward zone blob for spike small groups so quickly they don’t even load downed skills..

Isn’t condition build for staff little bit of waste? As far as i know you have only 3 out of 20 weapon skills dedicated to dmg conditions, at least go for scepter where you have burn&bleed on autoattack with more stacking options(ok granted that Boss will hardly run away from Eruption but still).

But I honestly would get really bummed if everyone is partying with awesome new specializations and I am still playing the same way as before because my new specialization ends up being horrible.

Which, again, I think there is a high chance of happening. Though I really hope I am wrong in this.

Do you think any of the existing classes with known elite specs will use their new weapon with that elite spec? The shield for mesmer is terrible when torch lets you set up one shot mind wrack combos. Its basically a zerg weapon in WvW. The longbow for dragonhunter may only be used on certain specs as it won’t work with a bunker/support set up because its selfish and medi may still out dps it. The reaper GS will probably be used in PvE but in PvP its so slow that fighting things with lots of dodges and blinds will make it completely useless, such as thieves and mesmers (although reaper shroud will be good though).

So yeah don’t worry, most classes will have builds that will use the elite specialization, but I’d say that more often than not, they’ll use they’re original weapons unless the new ones are useful enough to outclass to the technique, strategy, and utility we’ve built up for 3 years, which at first glance doesn’t seem to be the case with any of the 3 elite spec weapons we know all the details of.

Keep in mind that most classes(except ele and engi) can use two weapon sets, so they can switch to whats more appropriate for the moment. Ele have only one weapon set (okay we have 4 attunements but until those are diametrically different in what they do it’s like we have 4 skills which have 5 different animations) so yeah, reaper greatsword is slow, but he can deplete enemies dodge with other weapon and then wreck him with GS.

  • A non-refundable listing fee of 5% (minimum 1 Copper coin); this is paid when you post and is not returned if you remove the order.
  • A 10% tax on successful sales; this is deducted from the amount available at pickup.

Although both fees are listed in the trading panel, the “projected profit” only deducts the 10% sales tax.
