As the title says I would love to see gifting of gems enabled. My father recently bought me and my daughter a card worth 2000 gems. Of course you cannot split the code from a card so I entered it on my Daughter’s account and bought a bank slot for her. I then tried to transfer gems to me so I could buy one. Of course you cant transfer gems directly so I had to convert them to gold then mail the gold and convert them back. I knew there would be a slight loss so I converted 700 gems to gold and mailed it. in the time that it took form e to walk across the room and convert the gold back to gems the market changed so much I only got 504 gems. That’s a 196 gem loss in less than 3 minutes…. Idk but to me that just doesn’t seem right that the market changes that fast and there is no other way of transferring gems.

Defiantly some interesting opinions here. The 3 that I keep seeing seem to be Warrior, Necro and Thief. Mes was also mentioned quite a bit but I already have one Mes and so I dont think ill be creating a new one just got to finish leveling it up. Looks like I have some tough decisions to make for my next one.

Im thinking either Warrior or Necro right now.
Ohh and Valheru My server does for reasons I will never understand have a tendency to run alot. Not enough people play and when we do play the zerg always seems to go to where the enemy has their largest group. They stay for a minute then run away… Not really how I like to play but if you are with a zerg kinda need to run when it runs….

Well as I said I usually like to keep a bit of a distance although I am adaptable. I change it up with my Ele depending how I feel for the day. One thing I do absolutely hate though is using a glass cannon. I have too many distractions around me to the point where its hard to always pay full attention and I need to be able to take a hit. I do know how to dodge. With me currently using an Ele I know how to juggle multiple skills. I have also played with Mes and Ranger and liked both. My most common build is a Staff Ele. I like it in groups but hate solo with it because its a bit too squishy. But I do like the ability to do some damage and if I need to get out with my speed.

So basically Its hard for me to describe my play style as I get bored with one single style and I like to change it up.

I do like 1 on 1 fights although that’s hard to get in WVW as usually there are groups but I like running around Solo from time to time.

Not sure if any of that will be of help but yeah there it is. :-p

I currently have a level 80 Asuran Elementalist and am thinking about starting a new character. This one is going to be primarily for WVW. I was wanting to get other’s opinions of what the deadliest class for WVW. I was considering a Necro but unsure yet. I do like being able to keep a bit of a distance for fighting but want some surviveability. Also what are your opinions on the race that has the best racial skills? I’m thinking Syvari for their ability to bind people.

Before anybody says it I know a lot depends on play style and experience. I’m just looking for general opinions of the public.

Make sure that if you send a bug report to Anet do it from within the game. Or if you submit in any other form have a screen shot. During the Aether Dungeon living story I had a bug with an achievement and was told that I needed to have submitted it that way instead of just at their support ticket site.

Ive been here for over an hour. He was still walking around telling jokes. Then disappeared and said Enough jokes time for some tricks. Then he still hasn’t started the game.

And before anybody says it I do realize there is no “BEST build” I am just looking for some suggestions with the current state of Ele. A log of the guides are kind of out of date.

9 times out of 10 im usesing Staff and am playing in PVE solo or with 1 ranger in party. With the recent update what are some suggestions on trait setups for a PVE Staff Ele. I do switch to D/D or D/S depending on the situation and once in a while like to play WVW but i’m primarily Staff. Any good ones that will let me still be able to be effective if I have to switch?

Well I submitted a report to Anet about it and they responded thanking me for letting them know but telling me they cannot give me my achievement… So I guess im out of luck… No slick pack for me :-(

I had gotten the daily on a different day for it.

Time running out just tried again and it didn’t work….

I know I have Tried the dungeon with pugs and cant seem to get it finished. Idk why it didn’t give me my cool down achievement yesterday either I didn’t step in the flames. I was relying on these last few Dailies to get my slick pack

I too am hoping that it says a little past the 14th because I am only 3 achievements away form getting it and now the key maker one for today is busted too :-(

Same here I tried with 2 of my toons no daily…. That bites I am so close to getting my slick pack I can taste it…. GRRR

Belenwyn I actually made a post yesterday suggesting that she may be trying to teach us some lessons in the SAB lol After all the poem did state that she had some hard lessons to teach :-D

It would be cool if Scarlet took over the virtual reality simulator or whatever and twisted it to teach her own lessons!!!

Is Scarlet still going to be trying to teach us a lesson while we are going back to school? I know alot of the previous living events have been overlapping into the newer ones so I do hope this one will as well.

We did manage to get her another one last night. We are trying to do the dailys as we can get them to count for her. Problem is when its such a high level that she doesn’t get credit for a single kill although the earlier suggestion about partying up does seem to help with it. Im just having a hard time finding time to play her char this week to party up with everybody lol. As for the being young for some of the game yes I do understand that. She mainly stayes in the lower level areas and fights the enemies around there and does the little events. So I bring my toon down to her areas and help her. She only plays with me so I can pretty much manage what portion shes in and what shes doing.

What achievement progress do you have completed on the vorrp section of the live story achievement panel? Idk but it may give a hint as to whats going on here….

Have you tried using the communicator to find out what you need to do next? I believe the next step will end up being to collect a few items and bring them to Vorrp so he can make the device to let you in the playhouse if I remember correctly.

She owns her own account. I always play it with my dad and my two brothers and she wanted her own to play with all of us. Gives her time to do something with me her grandpa and uncles with them living far away lol.

ok cool thank you I will try that. Because yeah its no problem with my level 80 im almost done but with hers its a pain lol. And I would much rather her get it than me lol. Too bad I cant just give her mine lol

Any idea when this is ending? My guess is Sep 3 when this new back to school update comes up. Although I HOPE scarlet is still rampaging after that lol

Yeah my guess is you have to do a certain amount of damage to the enemies. Because I take her out shes actually at a portal event shooting the enemies but of course its glanceing and only does like 7 damage against a level 60 enemy. She doesn’t get credit for attending the map in the achievement. Now as far as the dailys go yes she can get the dailies IF she gets lucky enough that she gets in a low level map. For instance If it is a Champion killing one on a level 60 map. I can get there and be shooting the Champ the entire time he is up. The zerg kills him with me still shooting him however she doesn’t get credit at all for killing him. Most likely because she is not doing enough damage Im guessing.

At least its something me and her can enjoy together. Me and her play together. Its at least better than me allowing her to play call of duty where you are hearing people cussing you out and shooting guns at each other. She likes the whole mystical feel and thinks the sylvari are pretty and loves the pretty scenery at parts of the game. I control her character when shes going through the rougher spots with undead and all.

I have been playing guild wars for a while but my 6 year old daughter started about a month ago. When this event began she was level 21 and is now level 35. She REALLY wants the tonic and I have been trying to help her get it by playing with her character. However it seems that it may be impossible with her character no mater how hard I try. The only servers she seems to get ANY credit at all in are the very low level servers. If I take her into a level 45 or above and play with her character she gets no credit for anything. Even if I take her out and follow the groups fighting along side them. Yes I know she cant do much damage but if she is participating then it should count her as getting the server. It doesn’t even give her partial credit for the kills or a medal at the end of portal events. The previous living stories I was able to get her the balloon, torch, and mini watchwork knight. Yes it was VERY difficult with such a low level but between me, my dad, and my 2 brothers all working helping her and her dieing several times we managed.

Is this one indeed going to be impossible for a low level character?

Another thing I just thought of is it would be cool if you could also access the mini game and all via cell phone or tablet which of course should work if its browser based as well. But eventually an actual app would be cool too.

I would LOVE to see this!!! Maybe a little mini game where you can win prizes for in your main GW2 game too!!! I agree the trading post would be awesome if it was available out of the game.

I completely agree. I dont really play PVP much at all ankitten ot yet strong enough to do the dungeon or know enough people in game to get a 5 man team. I usualy simply play with my dad and 2 little brothers. Last night me and my dad tried to do the jumping puzzle to get the cache and Sorrows Furnace had people stationed at the entrance, At each of the trap chains, and at the chest to stop anybody that is not part of their team from getting the achievement. My server is severally out numbered in WvW and can barely hold any territory while the enemy can have people stationed and take shifts guarding things 24/7. Not to mention the annoying fact that they not only prevent you from getting an achievement but sit and mock you when 6 guys take down 1 person or 10 take down 2. As if you were somehow supposed to become a god and kill all of them and its your fault you so pathetic you couldn’t stand up to those staggering numbers.

Hey I currently have a level 68 Ele that ive been working on with a D/D build. However after the patch as many have stated it has been nerfed. So my question is what do you feel is the best build now for the ele after the patch. Trait distribution, runes, sigil, and weapons? I mainly play WvE right now however I am also wanting to play WvW as well. Im not that interested in PvP but I do plan on getting into it some in the future. I would love to start doing dungeons when I reach level 80 as well. Also I am not apposed to changing to a different type of weapon all together if serves better than D/D now.
