without my entire build u can’t know how i deal with conditions and cancel is just one of several ways to deal with it but anyway every body know conditions are warrior nemesis so i don’t see your point. And ofc i miss some earthshaker but there are many ways to ensure that it wont miss (land it at the end of a dodge for example, if he double dodges it’s ofc good for you). Seriously idk what you were expecting but considering what they have given to warrior since the quickness nerf, this is a nice patch note. And i don’t see how my method is (or rather could be coz the patch isn’t out yet….) ineffective against chilled and cripple coz berseker stance and cleasing ire are meant to work with all conditions.
Again everything i said was just a simple feeling i get about this patch note coz without actually testing these changes u can’t assert anything

HavocUhm, no, just no. Cleansing Ire is practically worthless, since it only removes conditions when adrenaline is spent. Adrenaline is only spent when a burst skill connects, so blinds and aegis will totally prevent the cleanse, as will most cases of chill/cripple plus kiting to prevent melee range burst connects. Weakness and Confusion will also still affect the burst meant to remove them. Blocking skills will likewise prevent the coniton removal. The heal cd’s are still too high for the amount of healing, as is the cd on Endure Pain. They also nerfed the warriors ability to used adrenaline as a passive damage gain.
Really nice changes? Only if you’re fighting a warrior.
idk which build you play but with a hammer support build i connect every single burst skill, you just have to deal with blind properly (bind cancel attack for example) and you can’t miss it with the leap. It’s easier for a longbow warrior and they are no other pseudo viable build atm so. Besides i mentionned Berseker Stance too wich is kinda a 4sec (maybe more if traited ?) immunity to condition and it can also affects conditions you already have on you i think so it can be nice.
Anyways they understood warrior needed more survability and they made changes in that way and that’s very good

Warrior changes are realy nice, 2 more options to cure conditions (berseker stance and cleasing ire) and some nice buffs which improve both survability (heal cd, endure pain, new breakstun) and damage (DotE moved to master trait)
Stunbreaker switch from arcane light or cleansing fire to GoEP could actually be nice coz the weakness buff fosters the use of it (at least in a bunker pov, i don’t think a dps ele should rely on it for its survability) and this change allows not to give up to a stunbreaker.
This is a bad change for all dps ele who prefer lf over mistform tho but lf will still be instant so you still can use it while stun to go away (as thief sword 2 or mesmer staff) so it’s not such a big deal
Anyway the patch isn’t out yet so..

No offense to you or Ben zy, but no good thief would do what he did in that situation…he was just careless.
First off – he had basilisk up before he even went in…no good thief does that because any decent person (like yourself) would watch for his basi and dodge his first attack.
2nd – if he would have seen that you were trying to dodge my combo, he should have immediately switched to SB and immobilized you with surprise shot, then clusterbombed you to death and/or trick shotted you if he saw you use bulls charge. There is no way you could dodge all his surprise shots before he come out of stealth therefore you WILL definitely get immobilized. Instead, he spent all the time he had in stealth chasing you trying to land the backstab…
He just made poor decisions after poor decisions in that fight. I’m not taking away that you did well for the amount of HP you had because it I give you props for playing it cool without panicking, but it really was Ben Zy’s fault that you managed to kill him.

Plus you made some decisions which would have make you loose against a good thief as blowing your 2 (3?) dodges all at once. This time you were lucky (or maybe you knew what kind of thief he is as you seem to know him) coz the thief actually kept trying to land his backstab but if he had give up, gone away of your fire field and used his shortbow he could have done anything he wanted coz you had no dodge left.
Anyways you were obvioulsy better than the thief and you can be proud of that but with such an appealing title we expect a good level display from both side
Dragon Ball is nice to play…. for 30 minutes top, then you realize you reached the skill cap 15 minutes ago and you are doing the same crap all over again. Yet the idea is good but it lacks variety and mechanics which could improve the skill cap (maybe utilities or 2 weapon set ? idk). Anyway it’s just meant to have some pvp fun, in an other way than hotjoin or tournies so i guess it’s fine as it is.
it’s just very sad when u lose a fight against this new s/d thief coz you’ve wasted the dodge which could make the win.
well didnt now about the geaomancy sigil, it’s time to arenanet to write the entire description in the tooltip, gonna try this, anyways this is surely not the only good choice for this build.
And to Arheundel ppl who dont know how to play this build and land the burst at the innapropriate time are so easy to kill for every class (even warrior), so it’s not such a big deal and pple will figure it ou anyway
Nice gide about dps ele and i would add even if u have only 1 stunbreak the ratio burst/survability is pretty amazing imo and u can do well in 1vs1 as well as in teamfight
Just one question abtout this combo : Water 4 + Fire 1 + Fire 5 -> i don’t understand the water 4, same for the next combo
I don’t understand the sigil neither why bleed whereas battle, kill proc one, energy etc.. or even poison are more usefull imo (it’s a good choice for 1vs1 tho)

bumping this thread because this HAS TO be in the very top of the to do list, it is just so annoying to die because of this kittening bug.
Please make a hot fix or something, i dont even ask to remove the skill queu but just remove dodge from it. This is a serious issue here

Khalifa i’m interested in you 30 points in soul reaping for you terror build, could you explain what trait you picked and why ? Maybe for the 3s stab ?
Coz it’s like the orb has been designed for ele : with rtl traited you can have 2 rtl + mist form + ether renewal (near 4 sec condition imunnity every 15 sec) + stability (cantrip) + perma vigor, there are no chances you will stop an ele

Imo it’s just about money. Clearly their economic plan was to make a strong advertising campaign in order to sell as much as possible games before players actually realize it’s not what they were expecting (in the PVP part). And since there is no subscription and they KNOW the “big rush” on this game is already FAR away, they may have make cuts and maybe that’s why NOBODY take care of the pvp part because, seriously, i don’t think they are idiot and just ignore what ALL people are saying, i think there is just nobody (maybe 1 or 2 people ?) who is dedicated to implement pvp changes. I bet they will be more reactive if u explains how you can actually make money if the game becomes a real e-sport, because it’s just an other company which is looking for profits eventually and they may not see the competitive PvP as a viable choice.

I very hope it doesn’t, because bonuses are so powerfull, imagine a ranger with the frostbow it would be so op.
Anyway it doesn’t matter coz no sane person would pick up this plastic toy that drags on the floor
omg you’re right healing power on frostbow makes the #1 so insane and added to healing
geyser it makes your team invicible. Thank god there are only 15 charges or else it would definitively be broken.
