CM does kinder of need a nerf, its pretty ridiculous. EXP path 2 is also stupid when when you have 10ms to place down barrels to blow up the door, almost impossible for pugs, even harder without vent/TS.
I’m almost always pugging. If people listen when I explain, they usually get it right on the 2nd try. Dunno about the endboss now after they nerfed corpse running though.
Getting ridiculous with the majority of Thieves and Elementalists charging groups of 3-4 opponents without hesitation, because they know they can get out most of the time if things goes bad, with a good chance to down someone.
You don’t see Rangers, Necros, Mesmers and Engineers try that very often for a reason. Heck, even Warriors and Guardians usually prefer to leg it vs 3-4. >_>
Mobility, Defense OR Burst from Elementalist / Thieves needs to be adjusted to be on par with the others.
No real benefit of going with less. You don’t get more loot and killing would be much slower + less people who can get you up if you fail to dodge.
What’s wrong with Elementalists in dungeons?
To me they feel like the best dungeon class except good heavy armor players.
Not banning exploiters just encourage use of more exploits as soon as they’re found.

Just prevent players without story mode done on that character from entering Explorable mode and give 60 marks for completing it the first time along with the hat.
Had all 8 professions at 80 for a while now. (Link in signature, didn’t update the wiki page until recently though).
All have 1-3 exotic (lvl 80) armor sets + weapons.
Next I plan to roll Charr, Asura and Sylvari chars just for the story achievements.
Other than getting knocked down from ridiculous far away when trying to pass a swiping scavenger sometimes, they’re fine. Not much else in AC that can kill you.
Use cripple to prevent them from reaching you with leaps. Or slot skills that gives stability (Warrior / Guardian can activate them after being knocked down) “Fear me!” usually works too.
That 280° shout from Colossus is actually nice, it makes it slightly tougher for casters than for melee classes if you don’t stay at max range.
Getting spam targetted by the spider’s poison and a bad spawn by the ghosts at the end of path 2 is the only thing that you can’t really control.
Guess it’s time to remove all the friends on the “wrong” continent from the friends list then since we won’t be playing any GW2 together.

Think you have access to ‘global keybinds’ when you open the prefs at the character select screen.

You can still have a democratic leadership even with just one person with absolute power. What you describe happens daily (or close to it) in MMOs.

Nice guide. At the swamp level, there’s small rocks nearby where you can stand without being hit by the skelk, you still aggro them up there though.
Haven’t done much fractals, so dunno if they can bypass that at higher levels.
Why is the most mobile class also the class with the highest burst and best pvp defense (invisibility)?
Make invisibility break on taking damage or increase initiative cost on HS. As it is now, stealth has no counter except guess where the thief is and hope he/she dies in 1-2 hits.

Indeed, 15+ secs logout timer unless you’re at a WP. Interrupted by damage and recieving conditions.
Farming badges with losers like that running around makes it a really dull experience.

As far as I’m concerned, if you want to play melee and you do it well, then go ahead.
So many kittening times some bad player told me I had to use UA on my GW1 monk, usually the kind of players who had to activate every skill on their bar before they noticed the mobs hitting them. >_>
30-40 mins is fine, if longer, then it better have checkpoints so you can continue some other time.
… Stuff being soulbound is soulbound exactly so that you can’t just farm it once and swap it to the rest of your characters.
The only currently soulbound item that most people would even consider for a discussion of being accountbound instead would be Legendaries.
What’s wrong in moving “Siege Weapon Plans” to another alt?
Or at least let your other chars transmute a soulbound armor piece.
Necro with staff and traited with larger / faster recharge / unblockable marks + ground targetted wells = good aoe damage + lifesteal / blind fields, especially if someone decides to splash around in it.
Also Siege stage is horrible……they should think at how designed classes when they put those sort of mechanics in the game…….

If you have instead rangers it becomes easy as hellSame for battles on pseudo jumping puzzles….half of my skills require mobility .-.
Again dungeon designed with few classes in mind…..
Seems more like an incentive to bring all classes and not just 2-3 classes like AC explorable path 3.

Bring a staff necro, fear him when he heals. Fear cooldown is lower than his regen with traits + they provide great AoE damage throught the dungeon.
Or make sure people bring fast recycling knockdown/knockback to burn through Defiance and set him up for an interrupt.
Necros aren’t too hot in AC path 3, but really nice in path 1-2 and not worse than any other class in Fractals.
You obviously haven’t read A-Net blog articles about WvWvW. They said that you would be able to ally with other server in orer to defeat the 3rd one.
Why do you need to communicate with them for that? Just don’t attack the other ‘losing faction’.

Very disappointed hearing about this. One of the reasons I’ve played GW1 and now GW2 is because I hate having to farm new gear every week before I can start ‘having fun’.
Running around in sub-par gear bothers me, and gear progression stinks. I’m all for OPTIONAL skins though.
With people already noticing a major shift in power with exotics in dungeons, I doubt this will make things better, and don’t get me started about WvW.
If you do same path on two different chars in a row then you get DR (unless the daily reset occur between).
If you wait a while before doing the same path again you get full rewards on both chars.
My main is a lvl 80 water elementalist with full “Cleric’s” (Power, Toughness, Healing) gear and a staff.
Continous party regen while attuned to water.
Switching to water attunement gives you and allies regen + removes a condition.
Auto attacks cause splash heals to adjacent melees.
Staff skill #3 gives a small area, short strong heal over time.
Staff skill #5 gives a large area 9 second heal over time with condition removal.
Dodge rolling in water attunement causes large splash heals to adjacent allies (and you) every 10 secs.
Summon (lesser + Elite skill) Water Elemental their attacks cause healing as well.
Not to mention staff skill #4 (water) is an aoe snare. Great for giving your fleeing melees breathing space. :P
Arcane Shield (slot skill) is one of the best all around defensive skills as an ele. Can be activated while casting, knocked down or doing something else. Ressing an ally and a big boss aoe pops up on ya? Arcane Shield.
Glyph of Renewal for ranged ress.
For good parties, switch to Berserker’s or Rampager’s gear and go aoe pew pew.
Eles are the monks in GW2. It’s also quite funny to watch the bad players dodge out of your heals and then die. O_o
Usually skip Kholer, always going the same path. So far Hodgins seems to have a 33% chance to bug at the room before the 5 scepter pieces. Haven’t really seen him bug before that part.
Haven’t tested it 100%, but Detha seems to bug if she dies during the trap event and you kill the breeder after she’s dead. The event is listed as complete and you get a new objective and can’t restart the trap event that really failed.
or go to the dungeon and look for the little blue magnifying glass with a group of people behind it next to the player names.
Very few players set themselves as LFG from what I’ve seen, and that blue icon doesn’t say if they’re lfg for story or explorable.
And the whole point of a LFG list was to be able to get a party without going to the actual zone and stand around doing nothing while looking for people.
Illium Vandimon, Ranger. Same as her ancestor in GW1.
In GW1 the AI almost always attacked those with lower HP first if they were in aggro range, plus chased them longer before switching targets. Very noticable if someone had much lower hp than the others.
Not sure what stat combination that makes the AI do that in GW2 yet. But I’ve seen many cases where a single person gets “called” often, very noticable in CM when one player gets chain sniped. Kinda hard to miss as well.

There should be a global LFG tab somewhere. It’s annoying to map somewhere just to see if there’s any people actually LFG for a dungeon.
Edit: Not to mention how fast your messages gets suppressed.

Would have prefered GW1 cinematics as well, these dialogs are pretty dull. And ideally with dialog choice embeded into the cinematics.

Neither the GW1 or GW2 dances has any rhythm, looks more like drowning monkeys with spasms than dancing. >_<

And skills that affect the party is usually better than just saving your own (|).
A well placed “Healing Spring” (that aoe heals) when you’re at full health is usually better than running around with a stronger single heal.
Watching rangers without healing spring in dungeons makes me a sad panda. >_>
Many classes have some slot skill that allows them to revive an ally without having to hug that champion boss or stand in the aoe.
If your allies are up then there’s a better chance you’ll not get aggro, or that you’ll lose aggro. So if you keep party members up your survivability goes up as well.
Only done the first 4 dungeons, and they’re all pretty fun, just a shame the non farming mechanics hits so hard against the end xp reward.
I really like playing with other players, loved PuGs in GW1 and did several ZM multiple times even if I didn’t need it on those chars anymore.
Events aren’t the same thing, you don’t get a feel for what other players can do.
Can’t say I find many overpowered trash mobs, it mainly about pulling properly and paying attention.
