Welp, April First is over ingame….and….no SAB

-sulks-

this is very sad…. and yet no official comunication about SAB…..
RIOT

Of course, the catalyst for the creation of the forum title, " ArenaNet Forum Communications Team Lead" will remained ignored and the people displaying it, are, in my opinion, going to remain as distant as possible until they start bleeding “metrics.” Resorting in Super adventure box being looked at internally as nothing more than an ace up their sleeve to bring back/retain player base whenever they need it most.

I don’t think you guys realize that you have the best 3d platformer of all time. Maybe you do, and that’s why I can’t help but rationalize its absence within the most cynical perspectives on your end.

Why else would you fail to turn it on, like every other seasonal event? Halloween, Wintersday… You know? Why not even be more articulate?

Why not cultivate and tend to the passion you have instilled in a good portion of your player base? As an example, “That_Shaman” datamined a storm wizard weapons chest out of the gw2 dat file back in nov of 2014, Found here. Surely, for those that saw it then, thought this was exactly what was happening. Instead, a few months later, I don’t know when exactly, probably a few weeks before April, you stripped the code out of the game.

Not to mention everything else that has been brought up over the past 24 hours.

Why?

What do you miss the most?
Sliding on ice was my favorite.

The entirety of zone 3 in world 2 on tribulation mode would be my favorite. Incredibly well done.

Last Stand: Bugged or Working as intended?

The ranger never gets the stun, that’s why they aren’t interrupted.
It is working as intended. You have to become stunned or disabled, before the trait kicks in, it will not work as an “immunity”, in the sense that the first stun will not interrupt etc.

I agree with this line of thought in theory, but it does not explain why other skills are not interrupted from the criteria that activates Last Stand as well.

It works like Reapers Protection – the actual CC must take place for the desired effect

It does not reflect or negate the first CC like the Ranger trait

Good comparison to give perspective to the two traits, however; Shared Anguish is in fact, a hard stun break, just like Last Stand. The difference between Reapers protection and the traits listed in the link in my initial post, is that Reapers Protection isn’t a stun break. At all. RP mirrors all disabilities in replace with a static fear, while remaining stunned.

It is within my opinion that if a given class with a trait that is listed as an actual stun breaker, as you said your self, the player must be hit by the stun for the trait to activate. Even if it is passively activated, ANY skills that are being used should be placed on cool-down to give priority to the traited stun break.

The description for Shared Anguish on the wiki clearly states, “All disabling conditions are TRANSFERRED to your pet instead.

*In this example, rangers are flat out immune. Just like a warrior with Last stand minus the Burst Skill interruption.

Edit to clarify this is specifically about the trait Last Stand in the Defense skill tree.

When Last Stand is triggered by an interrupt or stun while a channeled skill is channeling, the channeled skill is interrupted and placed on full cool down. These channeled skills are mainly burst abilities but there are a few non burst abilities affected by this, volley and one hundred blades for example.

The easiest way to test Last Stand conflicting with skills is to equip a bow and look for a mob that you know is going to stun you the second you activate a channeled skill. Use combustion shot to bait the stun. Last stand will activate and reset Combustion Shot to its 8second cool down while preserving full Adrenaline and ultimately failing to activate.

However, it’s reasonable to assume that if enemy player X tries to interrupt a given ability without a stability indicator on your bar, and forces you to activate a passive trait, then whatever skill you are currently in the middle of, should be placed on cool-down while reassigning priority to the Last Stand trait while still preventing the full on stun. To me, this is fair, good counter game play.

The question ultimately arrives from seeing similar passive traits on other classes that do not seem to have the same penalizing factors that the trait “Last Stand” currently has. As an example,

The ranger trait Shared Anguish (just as an example) – Incoming disabling conditions (stun, daze, knockback, knockdown, sink, float, fear, or launch) are transferred to your pet instead."

All though different, these skills mirror one another as they activate passively while mitigating a stun/interrupt effect, but with out the skill penalties mentioned above for traited Last Stand.

hola

If the following applies to you:

->Launch Guild Wars 2 -> Launcher begins to update – > Then freezes

Try – Start -> Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Connections -> LAN settings -> CHECK Automatically detect settings.

This worked for me.

*It might also be worthy to attempt to delete the Local.DAT file.. As always, back this up just in case!

To locate the file:

Start->RUN-> Type into the pane(With out quotations) -> “%appdata %” and press enter. -> Double click the folder ROAMING and the find the folder called Guild Wars 2. Open the folder and delete the Local.Dat file *After making a copy of it.

I am lost! Looking for a WvW build.

As a suggestion, I would just flat out try, 0/0/30/30/10 for “Distortion Grants Reflection talent” or 0/10/30/30/0 for an extra stealth at 25% health.

If you do spec this way, pay attention as you’re placing points. Notice the talents that grant Protection from Regen, and how phantasms can be traited to grant Regen.

Both specs allow you begin to understand combo fields with the use of glamor skills and any leap skills you might want to use, also including “blast” finishers, like "the “prestige” (torch 4) which throws chaos armor onto people around you. Personally, when I run bunker spec, I like Staff- sword/torch-focus Sword . The constant Chaos Armor, distortion, each weapon skill set has a leap finisher. With the sword you can pop off -sword three- iIlusionary leap for 2x the chaos armor.

You really are a beast at this point and with enough toughness and vitality gear, its going to take a train to kill you in WvW.

Socket 2x Rune of Earth 2x Rune of Water, 2x Rune of the Monk is almost like turning on God Mode.

Any who, the spec it self is really just a template to help you understand the idea of this play style, eventually, If you like these kinds of builds, I would mess around with Mantras combined with the added utility of torch 4 -The prestige-, mass stealth, Veil, Decoy, null field and the ability to remove conditions when you heal COMBINED with 24/7 Chaos Armor… it almost unfair.
