If this post has done anything for me. It would be solidifying my notion to make sure fully dead ppl at events know that I will not res them and they need to WP.
The ammount of dumb in this thread is the highest I’ve seen in a while.
TLDR: if you are dead at a boss you deserve to lay there and rot if you refuse to WP.
just a FYI the shoulder skin is permanent. you do not need the 10k drinks by the end of wintersday. as long as you have everything else done, the 10k drink achievement is not going away. Of course the only tangible way to get the drinks outside of wintersday is the TP, it will still be there all year and continue next year as well.
The patch notes mention “new permanent” winters day achievements. I’m not sure if this is one of them or not. But if it is, you would be able to get the drinks year round if you have the present node in your home.
You are all freaking out over 10k drinks? Wintersday started today and I have already drank 1000 without spending a cent on the Tp. 10 more days and I will have the 10k that is apparently impossible to reach. As with all collections, they would lose their value if everyone had them instantly. So if you are dedicated at getting them, I suggest you start opening gifts instead of wasting time complaining about it on the forums.
Tldr: there is nothing wrong with the 10k of you really want to work for it.
With the patch today Dec 1. basic weapons do not require crystalline ore to buy from merchants. This was not carried over to the scribe who still asks for ore for the same decorations. So this is just a heads up to anyone buying decorations before they fix this to NOT buy decorations from the scribe and instead get them from the decoration merchant directly.
I am not saying people don’t have a right to voice their opinion. What I am saying is, that ppl that complain about not being able to use GH, or the people complaining about the precursor crafting, need to understand that these new features were meant to take a long time and not be completed within the first 2 weeks of launch. For those who say they need small guilds for bank storage, you can join 5 guilds at a time. I personally have 1 guild bank, 2 small guilds of friends, a pvp guild, and 1 giant guild. The only guild in that group that expects a GH is the giant guild. You can all have your small guilds, but just join a casual big guild on the side for GH perks
how about you stop posting pointless threads that will achieve absolutely nothing useful.
The hypocrisy, it is real. The small guilds crying on the forums are the vocal minority. Just like everything else you see on the forums. People that are happy with how things are running are not going to say so on the forums. That is why every post on the forum is someone crying about something. I agree with OP about GH. People that CHOOSE not to be in a large guild need to accept that they won’t have the same access as those who do.

On a Side note: how hard is it to get the 20 pvp kills – having never played PVP…EVER… ? I’m also a mesmer.
Just join a daily pvp custom room. Ppl trade stomps and dailies in there.
I had the idea of raising the price of outfits by a few hundred gems and adding armor skins. Then you would be paying a little extra because you get the outfit and the individual part skins. Then everyone is happy.
Time stand still for no one. The quest chains go faster with more people, but they aren’t supposed to always succeed. It realistically acts like it should. If you don’t gather enough resources b4 nightfall, you won’t be well prepared.
Has anyone tried the Eye of Tequatl yet? My guild leader got this item the other day but I can’t find any information on it anywhere. She did link it in chat but idk if anyone else has seen one yet.
