Dude, if your getting your lady friend a gift, it should come from your blood sweat and tears. That’s what makes it special.
I agree. Not everyone deserves legend. It should be a status earned, not thrown at your average PvE raider or fractal player.
Um…..like…..check your privilege?
I made my characters (most) look like teachers I’ve had in the past. I think I have a problem.
I would really love a /dab emote. It would be straight up, hands down, THEE most epic emote of all time.
Just think about it.
When you kill someone in WvW, you no longer have to be the guy who uses /laugh or /sit (ya’ll know who you are). You can just dab.
When you win a PvP game, you celebrate with a nice dab.
You manage to win a 2v1, you DOUBLE dab.
If you kill a raid boss for the first time or 50th time, you get your boys, and just group dab.
You make your first legendary weapon, celebrate by telling map chat and then…DAB.
You finish map completion, but you’re tired so you slow dab.
The possibilities are endless and this ONE emote will replace literally all the other ones.
Being 100% serious, we need a /dab

The main reason why people want this feature is because of the lack of variety and quantity in weight locked skins.

+1 Stop queuing me with people I block & report.
Over my 1200+ hours of playing GW2 (1000 of those put into solo roaming as a mesmer) I’ve come to hate thieves with a burning passion of a thousand suns. As a shatter Mesmer player, fighting S/D thieves and P/D thieves (Dire gear usually) was literally like looking Satan in the face and saying “Come at me bro.”
I’ve always told myself I’d never play one for as long as I lived. Now, over the past two weeks I’ve had a very important friend ask me to make one. After a lot of persuasion (and seduction) I said yes. I believe that other than satisfying my friends need, I will learn to understand the way a thief player thinks and will overall play better when facing them.
Now I’m the kind of player who likes to challenge themselves. Risk and Reward builds are something I value most, thus I have no intentions of playing P/D thief. I am however looking for a thief build which will challenge me the most in WvW as a solo roamer.
I’m here today asking for examples of (power) builds which will challenge me as a player and also help improve as a whole. Thank you.

Thanks so much for these guides. I’m gonna be honest, around 90% of the mesmers I play against in sPvP don’t know these tricks, but I don’t mind. It gives me a HUGE competitive advantage and a mobility boost.
So the long duration of might upkeep on mesmer doesn’t look as promising as I thought. Maybe for a short while for a few bursts but after that it’ll probably just be an up keep of 3-5 stacks.
I think anet once said they want outifts to be gemstore items and armor sets to be acquired in game. I guess the real question is “where the HELL are the in game armor skins then?” Is there less profit incentive to create them? Sure it requires more effort, especially when garbage design tends like skirts dresses and trench coats are drilled into the art teams brain but…. why not just put in the effort?
My wallet found 2 on the trading post.
I think that having a dueling spvp game type wouldn’t be too bad. In PvE maybe we could have dueling, if people want duels to incorporate what armor stat combinations they have.
Why is everyone against this? Ya’ll scared of a good buttwooping?
I feel like the big issue is that new patches and updates don’t give players a larger number of new skins or weapons to collect. An mmo is all about customizing your character to be unique or something appealing to you, that sets you apart from other characters/players. With outfits, dye panels is as far as it goes in terms of being unique. On top of that more skins usually means a larger chance that players will decide to stick around just to obtain them. my 2 cents.
If someone were to hypothetically leave an autoclicker on for a server transfer lets say, over night, they might have a chance of getting in, right? Hypothetically speaking ofcouse.
Fella’s 1 piece of rear gear (Strider armor) doesn’t compare to the large amount of cleavage revealing armor Arena Net offers. There should be a balance, no? Light armor literally has none.
Wait sorry. To clarify. The PVP team. The player vs player team is in fact NOT in charge of game balance? As in major trait, boon, weapon dps changes? What the F? Does anyone else find that to be a big problem considering PVP is the game type where balance matters the most? I mean not to belittle PVE but it’s player versus environment. I don’t wanna say who cares but like, for a game trying with the “esports” scene, don’t you think PVP balance is kinda way more important?
learn to play skillfully rather than frantically smashing your keys?
Yes, because a 1 second delay on a skill which is only avalible in stealth implies skillful game play in a meta where blocks, invulnerability, aegis, blind, passives and Dodge spam is at its peak. Do you feel stupid now?
Personally, I’m working for ascended gear because it gives me the feeling of completion. Once I have a full set of ascended armor, trinkets, weapons with infusions (and the right skins) I will have the satisfaction of fully finishing a character. I’m sure there are many players with a similar mindset.
@Pandaman
It might be a overstatement, but that’s besides the main point. I have no problems with the armor we have now, skimpy or not. The point is that if Arena Net can make skimpy armor for female characters, then It can also be done for male characters. Also if they can make armor that is near topless, then there shouldn’t be any shame in making armor exposing a little bit of ones rear. (M or F)
People just get triggered when the champion doesn’t show character traits of a “run of the mill” hero. I don’t play other videogames (because time is money and im poor) but if you watch other Esports such as league or dota you’ll realize the players have near 0 personality and are for the most part sweaty nerds (no offense but this is general stereotype, inb4 i get perma banned from forums) with 0 microphone skills. I feel like once you watch a few of those interviews and come back to GW2 you can appreciate helseths interesting and rather unorthodox personality on the mic.
I mean I’d rather have people like Helseth than your average greasy, hipster glasses wearing guy who answers nearly every question the female interviewer askd with single words because of his anxiety and lack of experiance talking to someone of the other gender.
Geez, Anet stop nerfing Mesmer’s! Mesmer’s are already WAY too hard to play! If it got any harder I may ACTUALLY have to use my brain to play this minimalistically challenging game. Give us MORE buffs, actually give ALL the classes buffs but give us EVEN more, because power creep isn’t a problem, fast mindless hand holding gameplay is really what we like, and is a great push towards ESPORTS!
TLDR; Thinking, and getting good at a class is too hard, and we need more hand holding. Put us in a ridiculous “power creep face rolly” meta rather than a think of a well though out way to fix the overall state of player vs player combat in the game.

Anyone can push buttons. A skillful person pushes the right buttons at the right time while other people just try to smash all their keys as fast as possible.
Because people getting passive procs of Aegis and protection and with Aoe blinds flying around is so skillful.
If anything pumping out boons, blocks passives is an example of skills and builds over compensating for garbage players and even worse gameplay. Just beacuse it’s a bigger pain in the auschwitz doesn’t mean it “requires more skill”. It’s reached a point where it’s just not proper balance.
Arena Net has always given a large variety of armor customization options. Some, unique and some not so much. I’ve been playing Guild Wars 2 for around half a year, and I’ve noticed a trend in armor.
The most significant trend I’ve noticed is the emphasis on breasts.* Most of the female light armor for norn and humans include super skimpy top armor pieces. This can also be seen with Medium armor, especially the infamous T3 Medium human cultural armor, and not as much, but still existing, heavy armor. I have no complaints against this. Skimpy armor is fine.
The issue I find is, there are no armor pieces for ones rear. I have gone through all the skins for pants in the wardrobe for light, medium and heavy weight classes, only to find two to five pants skins that makes a characters rear stand out. I would like to see a larger variety here in the gemstore, as new drops or event items. If there’s no shame dressing nearly topless, then showing a little bum should never kill anyone either.
I understand that Arena Net armor developers/designers are “breast men” but it never hurt to look at the other end of the rainbow, and give a little to the “buttocks man”.
Thankyou.

Everytime I got a bad team I wanted to kill myself. Instead I uninstalled this garbage game. I don’t have to kill myself anymore. I think I won.
In grade 2 we learned about making inferences and reading between the lines. I’ll help you out here buddy. Kodan will not be a new playable race. You’re welcome. Feel free to send gold to my account to express your gratitude for my impeccable comprehension skills.

I personally as someone who played competitively (not esports competitive) think that the PvE community kinda does kill PvP. As much as I believe everyone has the right to play whatever they want however they want I also think its more of a downside than plus. Sure its a whole new gametype for people to enjoy but when you attach PvE rewards such as ascended armor (no use in pvp) or legendary skins which are avalible for “everyone” which pulls in people to ranked games who may not take it as seriously. This leads to massive skin collectors, AP collectors or whatever to play random builds or play poorly which ruins it for people who want to get competitive. This isn’t the case 100% of the time but it isnthe majority. PvP should be kept more competitive and the Player vs Player armor or legendary rewards should be kept in WvW.
Giving the same dollar value for more gems would be quite a terrible idea due to gold exchange. Cheaper gemstore items however I do agree with. I find myself often dropping 15 CAD on an armor set where I only want 2/6 of the parts. It would be nice if we could buy single skins off sets as well but obviously it’s a long shot.
I loved the old trait system. Honestly everything post “specializations” has felt like rolling a snowball down a hill.
Also in my opinion the only justification for specializations over trait lines is the issue with stat locked trait lines. Other than that they were fine.
It’s PvE. Go zerker. If you learn to WvW or PvP zerker stats are also good.

Thankyou Anet.
Thieves do not need a larger health pool, they hard counter mesmers, so it’s really a learn to play situation. When you play a glass cannon thief, you need to learn that accidentally walking into AoE’s is something you can’t let happen and to avoid it, not ask for compensation for players that are too lazy to avoid red circles or pay attention to animations. Its a risk reward situation, and if you can’t deal with it, then you picked the wrong class. Re-roll or re-spec.
I remember looking at a build that looked like this : http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fhMQNAsdWlsnpRtlpxUNcrNitxYyHiA1Fd0UlMghB-T1iFwAqURoqSQjK/A8AAMpeAjzAwFtBn1Bk4QAsa/BUqwAA-w
It involves getting might from interrupting with focus 4 and staff 5, getting might on weapon swaps, getting might when getting hit, and getting might when shattering.
5 stacks per interrupt
3 stacks per swap
1-3 stacks depending on how many clones you shatter
The hoelbrak runes grant a 25% chance of getting might when hit, and might also lasts a lot longer so that 20-25 stacks stays a bit longer.
If you find this build worth the investment, then try strength runes.
I think their was some reason I didn’t like this build, but it’s been a long time so I don’t remember why. Maybe due to interrupts not being a dependable source of might.
ITS LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!

No. This will not work. Arena Net hardly ever listens to the community.

I know the feel dude. Matching making is braindead along with the people I end up in game with.
I agree. I will probably quit soon too.
To fix things we need to get to the root of the problem. Does anyone NOT find it REALLY wrong that the PvE team makes balance updates which impact PvP. Am I really the only one who thinks this way?
I wanted to know which trait line benefits more from Strength Runes. This means might up keep. In illusions we have a trait which gives us 1 might stack per shatter, and in chaos we’re given a trait with gives us 5 might stacks per interrupt.
I would like to know if they are an overall good investment for mesmers, especially with the upcoming chronomancer trait line.
I do agree, male and female characters both need their fair share of skimpy armor. Arena Net needs to learn to swing everyone’s way, rather than just for guys. This is a game with a large diversity of players all with different preferences and it would be appreciated if all their views were given at least some consideration before designing new armor.
I’ve been solo roaming on T1 for half a year now, and two things have finally started to dawn on me.
1. A solo glass roamers life is a living hell.
2. Zergs, and condition builds are the majority of encounters that you’ll find.
Now, after considering my options, and my lack of will to return to a tier lower than 4, I am taking into account two transfer options. The first being Yak’s Bend, and the second being Fort Aspenwood.
A few of my friends have told me that players in tier 2 are far more skilled in 1v1 and small scale combat, which is a huge plus point for me. I was also told that the numbers are usually even, and the frequency of getting “Zerged” is a lot lower. The only downside is the fact that T2 has MANY thieves, and what makes it worse is their ganking squads.
I would like to know, which server is better in terms of avoiding ganking squads, and which one would be a lot less straining for a glass mesmer.
I dont know how you’re gonna differentiate between people who have got the reward and who haven’t as I know some people
I think that’s why there is such a big delay in the distribution of tickets. I personally think that the old tickets should be given a description around the lines of “This ticket is no longer valid” and everyone should get new tickets.
I play guild wars because I don’t have a girlfriend to send money and time on.
