I’ve already given my info, no need to do it again. Since most of the so called “advice” on this forum is not from Anet themselves, I’m not going to trust it. I’ll wait.

Well, it’s been a week now, and no game. I’ve gotten in twice, but then later when I try to log in again, I can’t get past the first screen. Is anyone doing anything to correct this problem? I’m not going to jimmy around with fix it solutions from others since I’m not so techy savvy and my internet connection is good otherwise. This is getting a bit old.

Thanks for info. I have tried a few things, but feel a bit leery of doing so right now, as I’m not as techy savvy as some. I’d rather wait. There’s never been a problem they haven’t been able to fix, eventually. Don’t want to make matters worse. I have no problems with GW1 so I guess I can hang out in the Abbey, like in the old days. Might be fun!

I tried all but uninstalling the game and I don’t want to do that right now. Some tried and I hear it didn’t work either.

So I guess I just wait it out. GW 1 is fine.

What the heck is going on? This is the 4th day I haven’t been able to log in. I’ve been trying about every hour. This morning I got a download and got in for a whole 5 minutes. I’m Century Link in Colorado. Anyone else having issues and what can I do about this?

PLEASE Anet! Implement a toggle for the wings on or off. This makes jumping puzzles and certain views almost impossible to get because the wings pop out automatically just when you DON"T want them to! You overshoot your landing spot and have to start over. And over. And over. And over. You get my point. The wings are great but not ALL THE TIME ! A simple option tab wings on/wings off would do the trick ! don’t know how many times I’ve been frustrated to the point of tears, thinking: if only you could CHOOSE to have wings on or not! I’m looking at you Hooligans Route in LA ! Not to mention many others. Please, just let US choose if we want to use them or not !

While I’m at it, how about another toggle to turn on and off the mandatory speed bonus !!! Same problem there. Why we need to race thru cities is a bit silly. There are
plenty of speed bonus NPC’s still hanging around IF we want to get that from them.
Give us choices !!!

Have to totally agree with Jia on this one! I like gliding too, but it’s just too easy to sail right past where your intended land is! Complete frustration. As for Just a Flesh Wound, I’m so glad you’ve mastered the newness of this feature, and I’m glad for you, really, but cool the superior attitude just because another player hasn’t yet arrived to
your expertise. All we ask is PLEASE game people: let us toggle whether we want to use feature or not. There are times when it is not feasible at all! Perhaps in the options panel you could add another for this. Check on. Check off. Easy Peasy. Please
hear us on this!! We love ya, but…. cmon!

My awesome Norn Rev is named Andràous, after a GW1 Ritualist I had. It simply
means: strong and brave. She is a dark haired beauty with big big blue eyes, something different that the blindfold. She is ever watchful, not missing a thing,
no blindfold for her !!! Wonderful names everyone! Great job.

I want this: PLEASE make gem store items permanently available!!! Once they are there, leave them there. Then they are always available for players to buy. So many times I have saved gems and real money to purchase an outfit, etc, only to find that
when I have the gems, the item is gone. How disappointing! Other mmos do this, why not GW. There’s no need or sense rotating them out then in then out of the gem store. GW is still the best game out there, make it even better by making this happen!

It’s been awhile since there were new faces and hair styles in the gem store. Was
wondering if there might be new ones added pre HoT? That would be a nice
addition to creating our new Rev’s ! I want mine to be special so please Anet, add
a few more in celebration of the expansion. I’m holding onto my gems just in case!

Yes Behellagh, I just noticed now. Problem?

After waiting to earn enough gold/real life money to purchase the Viper Armor
Skin, I see that it’s no longer available. What? Why do this? Not every player can
rush out and buy something they want. They have to wait till they have the gems
to get it. Please Anet, keep items in the gem store! Once they appear, just leave
them! What purpose is there in taking them away. Keeping them gives players
the opportunity to buy them at any time without fear that they will be gone if
they don’t have the gems to buy at the time! C’mon Anet, realize that players
sometimes have to wait to get what they want !!!

Has anyone heard if there will be new faces and hairstyles before Friday? Would LOVE
to create my Rev with a new, special look. Don’t want to use my total makeover kit, only to find new styles AFTER I create her !

Sorry if this has been addressed somewhere else, but I’m at 57% on Glider Training in the HoT Beta Event. So HOW do you max out the training? I see other players gliding off cliffs, would like to try it during the beta, but don’t know if there is anything specific I need to be doing. Thanks !

I noticed something rather weird when creating a new character, wondered if anyone else had same problem. When I went to face details and zoomed in, instead of characters face actually facing screen, it went to the bottom! You can barely see the
face at all!!! Imagine trying to get details on an asura! Is this a glitch or something new?
If so, it’s a terrible idea! Any comments?

Anyone have any good ideas for getting rid of those obnoxious players who have nothing better to do than follow you around in game? I’ve blocked, but that doesn’t
really make them go away. Report options don’t have a choice for them. I kind of think this one may have followed me while I opened map because he didn’t know what
to do, but still…he could have asked for help and I would have been glad to help. When I asked him if he was following me, etc. I got no response-this was before I blocked. I
just had to get out of game for awhile. But sheesh! How annoying!

I’m understanding a bit more now. Depending on the day, I would say I’m a bit of
both then. I just try to have fun, and like talking to other players as real people, but
also enjoy getting into my character as well. Thanks all for the great comments !

I’m a bit confused: I know many players who state they are :“roleplayers”, but
MMORPG;s ARE role playing, so huh? If you’re not roleplaying when you play
the game, what are you doing? To me, if you’re in the game, role playing is exactly what you’re doing. Can someone clear this up for me?

Here’s my new 80 Ele, Zsabo- been in game since launch, and just finished leveling
my three original characters to 80. I’m slow, but the results are worth it. I’m quite
proud of her.

Not fully understanding the working of traits in the game, I will agree with you, Jia.
In fact, I hardly think about them at all, just play through whatever I’m facing. I don’t
experiment with builds, just do what I know to do, and go on. I’ve never had any trouble overcoming the game baddies. Keeping my eye on the horizon for Cantha and
Elona eventually, (please God, and Anet too!) in the meantime, having fun and learning a lot ! Peace everyone!

I was thinking what a great idea it would be if when you open world map, the
different map areas were outlined in some way to tell them apart. When working
on map completion, I don’t know how many times I’ve thought a certain waypoint or
vista, etc was on the map I was working on only to find myself in the adjoining map.
So Anet, if you’re reading this, could you make that happen? It’s the same idea as in
US map, all the states are outlined, clearly defining each one. How bout it? Thanks!

I will never forget GW2’s birthday-it’s my birthday too, yeah !!! Thanks Anet for all

Is there a way to observe PvP, WvW? You could do that in GW1 and I’d love to
be able to do that in this game. If not, hey Anet, make it happen!!! It would make
an amazing game even more amazing!!

Didn’t notice Scruffy in pieces till I watched it 3 times. But I’d be nervous too if my golem fell apart. I’ve never been a huge Taimi fan, but seeing her there, all shaky, rather got to me. As savvy as she is, she still needs protection and care. Anet sure knows how to tug at our heartstrings!

I totally agree with you Tiger. After reading all the comments, I must say, there is certainly a lot of argumentative negative responses. Just because something is easy for one, does not mean it is for another. While there may be many reasons for this, it’s still the way it is for some. I for one am a bit tired of the snarky, sarcastic come backs by the “super elite” players who never make a mistake and seem to find any excuse to brag about how easy everything is for them, thus, putting down other players who may find certain events, etc. difficult for them. I found this instance to be a royal pain in the neck, never mind the reasons. Just frustrating. So yeah, we all have different play styles and level of patience. So show some love guys! Enough with the put downs.

Just wondering, but…I really hope those crystals won’t be a part of the next update.
I know, noob question, but don’t see a need for it actually. The Zephs were the ones who implemented them, and maybe it was a west Tyrian thing, not a part of Ascalon. Let’s hope anyway. Comments anyone?

I’ve wondered why new faces and hair, etc. cannot be unlocked the same way certain
wardrobe items are. Once you purchase a certain one, it would be so nice to have that
style for the rest of your account characters! I know you’re busy Anet people, but it would be a great addition to the game !

Each time I log in, I see new things happening in LA. Any ideas on when the makeover will be completed? I’m very much hoping for a “Grand Opening” celebration coinciding with Halloween festivities. It wouldn’t be the same anywhere else. I liked
someone’s suggestion that they raise the old GW1 fountain and reconstruct. What a
nice way to pay homage to a place so beloved by so many players. Sorry if this topic has been hashed over before, didn’t know where to put it.

Does finishing the new area count toward map completion? Is it required for completion? I love GW but am NOT a huge fan of new area. I’d hate to think I
HAD to complete it to count toward my goal!!! Anyone know?

I’m not listening to all the forum naysayers.! Anet has never let us down. At least not me-looks amazing, awesome and I just don’t know what I’ll do with myself till next Tuesday. The music is so powerful and touching, the artwork incredible. They totally know how to put things together. Ahhh yes, I’m a fangirl, to be sure. Not one bit ashamed to admit it! I may have even got a tad choked up too. Yes, there’s a tear!

Well people, only one more week to wait for Season 2! Just out of curiosity, how will you pass the time till then. Maybe a silly question, but just wondering. I’m working on leveling my adorable, cute, sweet but deadly Asura Mesmer to 80 (she’s 62 now). I’m also wondering what we’ll see in Lions Arch, but I digress. Opinions, thoughts, ideas, let’s hear them!

Well, I for one think this is a great idea. While I love trying new armor on my characters, there are days when I’d rather not. Some players don’t want to
fool with this coat, those pants, etc. AND: the OP DID say tips. So what. It’s
a game, relax and enjoy. I certainly have to give credit for the idea. Never
heard of anything like this, but I’m for anything that will enhance the game

No. They’re not. They are doing many positive things in the game for the players. I am looking forward to Season 2. Sure, it won’t be perfect and there are those who will whine and complain, but I’m sure it will be fun. Don’t be so down on Anet. They have given us a wonderful game! And it’s lose, not loose.

Hi. You can get NC Soft Gem Cards at any place that sells games: Gamestop, Walmart, I get mine at Target. They are in the game section. I get the one that
has 2000 gems for $25. Make sure you look at card and it states Guild Wars 2.

I think the game has lots to offer. For semi-casuals like me, I will never get through all the maps, even if they do open more. But for now, while waiting for S2, I’m working on completing maps with my 3 characters-I have 2 more “in the wings” for later. I love
exploring too, so doing a lot of that while completing dailys, etc. Starting on dungeons, a few jumping puzzles, exploring Southsun Cove, and hanging in Divinity and LA. I love the game and have been a fan since GW first launched in 2005. In fact,
I haven’t finished many of those characters either! So yeah, lots to do, and having fun doing it!

Makes sense I guess. Personally I think we have enough “animal” races. I wouldn’t play the tengu, but totally respect this wishes of others if they would like. Might be some very interesting variety there, depending on the customization!
