After update I got my Verdant Brink chest and Dry top chest, but I am still missing my Silver wastes chest.

The game really needs some consumables that need those as primary part, not like toxic oils whitch need 2 rare components and some bloodstone. It would make these mats important again. I just find silly we have “super rare” mats that dont have any value at all.

There is major faul in having 5 -3 -1 pointsystem in place. At most leagues there is one server that has strong hold for that place(usually thanks for transfers) and some teams that at are fighting for second placement. → at that kind of situation its more worth to be placed at 3rd than 2nd, as you get out from top group. 2 times 2nd place at top group = 6pts, one time 3rd and 1st is also 6 points, but is more valuable because the number 1 place.

We [Barren Knights] also moved to Gandarra. We are PvE players or to be more precise roleplayers. Just moved because our last server didnt like the way we hold RPGevents at our BG keep as this is really important place at our storyline. Hopefully we get all along this time. =) We are small guild, only 30-50 members who (role)play daily @ wvw.

Ranger Pets Overpowered?

Hidden fact about ranger pets is, that when you hit 20k achiement points you get new talents how to train them. I picked the skill that gives pets ability to use siege engines. Its nice when Polar Bear is doing the boring ramming and Panther can guard the back with arrowcart. What skills you guys took?

Anet, as this tournamet fails as hard as the last one, please think again how you place your rewards & how you decide what servers belong to what leagues. We already lost most of our wvw-nomadguilds as they know they cant get good rewards at here. And as they are gone, our server is once again 10 peeps against 150 peeps. → Hopefully we will get atleast 1 2nd placement during this tournament. Anything more is utopia. Sucks really hard, and tournament havent even begun.

Hopefully placements place weight the season 1 placements as we have tons of guest wvw-guilds leaving once again prior to start of the real games. Sucks really bad to be placed to the group where you cant win any matchups and for best be placed second few times (after playing around a clock). I think rewards really shoud mirror the amount of players each side have and not who have biggest zerg.

3. So if the Mesmer is landing all of his condis which you’re not cleansing, has you at half hp AND lands his elite, you still expect to win? What can I do if a Warrior has me stun locked, all of my stunbreaks are on cooldown and I’m also fighting 10 other people while all of my armor is broken?

You are trying to argument that those skills are balanced by comparing them as balanced as fightin 1v11 battle without armor… That argument do not work at all.

Other way of thinking might be that server points stop counting if there isnt anybody against you → you could still cap, but the match would still be more even. Most of karmatrain-pvd people dont even care the score, so it would not be so bad. Problem is how to balance it.

And that line was from early days of WvW when there was Russian guild that looked people to form Airforce. :P

You also missed the whole point. Flying and glichwalking should been fixed.

I can’t comment at this time as we haven’t finalized anything. (…)The rewards for finishing 2nd in the Bronze League will be markedly better than the rewards for finishing 6th in the Gold league.

However do not work for those who have been fighting against uneven odds for whole season. Matchmaking sucks really hard. Hopefully the forget this season thing.

Because of the inherently flawed mentality of “everybody is a winner even if they lose”
This is what I see happening with league rewards, it will be such a let down that it will explode on the forums with malcontent and people raging.

I think those servers who have less people are done more to get those points. So perhaps the reward should get divined by the number of peeps. That would serve right for those players who fled from one server to another to chase rewards… like runaways from Gunnars Hold. Right Latinkuro

That is only question for me right now. If we look the wvw, the game has really gone in a wrong way long time.

1. Wxp,
While wxp gives goals for wvw-players its negative update for few other ways:
For first it really encourages people to use only 1-2 toons. Account bound Wxp would make so much sense as the skills are not in any way char skill set based. They are just general skills that everybody can use. People think making lege or ascended weapon is hard. Lege takes 1,5 months, ascended weapon 2 weeks. Getting new toon to level 80 -> 3 weeks. Getting on toon maxed out at wvw -> much longer time. So long, that you don’t simply bother.
For second it encourages people to run with karma train. Pvd is imo most boring game mode in gw2. (Even worse than those great pve events, where you need to light 1000 bonfires, or carve 100 000 pumpkins. At least those have bright colors…) At wost situations there are 2-3 karma trains that run circles at capturing all the keeps/towers and still evading each other. That to me isn’t idea of wvw.

2. The Ruins
Did you guys think this ahead like this: “Lets give boost to those who can hold these ruins for certain amount of time, maybe it balances the situation as we usually place server A who has 500 wvw players and servers b and c who have both 150 wvw players against each other. Maybe it’s a tool that those small servers can win those already highly uneven zerg vs zerg fights.” Well it’s not. It makes that side that has advance to win those fights even harder.

3. Flying Russian, glichwalking German
The game is over a year old. Why on earth these problems still are up… Do those reported guys even get penalties? Anything done for this matter, as its still happens multiple times a night at my current mach up. It’s a really annoying to be a defender at the map while some thieves still glichwalk trough the walls.

4. League, matchmaking and rewarding.
So, silver league is kind of ¤¤¤¤¤. There are severs that have at certain times a day a hundred times more players than our server. Yes, hundred times -> we have like 5 peeps across all 4 maps. At our prime time we can somewhat hold our own, if we pool all our players to one map. While our opponents have decent zerg in all maps, round the clock. And now I have heard that you plan to adjust prizes to the placements at the league. Wuhuu, way to motivate those players who are stuck to very uneven matchmaking. 2k vs. 2k vs. 150 players’ inst fair. And I don’t it’s a fun being any side of it.

5. Season Achiements
While Achiements are great way to get more people to try out the wvw, those should not encourage people to play against servers need. Like use 500 supply leads easily to situation where we can’t hold any of our keeps, as they are drained from peeps that need to repair wall that is destroyed by trebs. Achiements should not encourage to bad behavior.

To me, this feels Anet do not listen its players. And even worse, they don’t play their own game to know what their updates feel like.

I think only people who want wvw exp to be char bound, are people who really like to bully and fight duels with advance. Not the people who love somewhat equal footing & close fights.

I really dislike this, but what can I do? Boycott the gem store? Look for another game?

Why should a lvl 30 twink who was never in wvw have all the stuff you earnd with your lvl 80 who is rank 300+ ?

Why they should not have the skills? If player has played 800 levels to his wvw account, is it fair that you are 700 levels behind for person who plays only one char? Both players have invested the same amount of time to the game → they should be rewarded equally.

O’Rly? 138K WvW kills between 4 toons that play WvW and I view it as I originally posted -

4 toons isnt actually much. Its a cup half full.

Other solution would be to take off guard killer and its def counterpart-skill, as they are the 2 skills that “brake” balance.

Please make wxp account bound! How are any of our alts supposed to ever compete against someone that has Full stacks of 250+Power, 250+Vitality, 250+ Condition dmg and have time gated ascended gear/legendaries?

….

To play wvw nearly exclusively and always feel under classed, even though account wide you have more levels than other people, is just lame and a terrible mechanic.

Problem 1: The system was designed to be constantly worked towards.

-I really think grinding one account based system that requires basic players years to go fully maxed, and that is uppgraded all the time counts as “something requiring constant work”

Problem 2: Each character is given a unique experience in WvW with this system

-cant really understand this goal, they want people to not play alts? Great goal if you ask me. :P

Problem 3: Each player can experiment with various ability builds for each character with this system.

-There are really not “builds” with players who play with multiple chars. You take nearly same early level stuff to max that small potential that chars have, as such items as maxed Guard Killer is out of question.

Problem 4: Each player of multiple characters has the long term goal of maxing out every character they have.

-When I first got GW2 there was advertisement that did say: MMORPG that do not force you to grind. Grinding 8 equally same sets of skills while being punchbag in skill-levels is something I dont enjoy.

Overall wvw is my maincontent out of GW2, and I would really like it to work. They could have balanced wvw levels with multiple ways, making them account bound could have been only one solution. Levels could have scaled, making the higher levels harder to get for example.

If you have two players, who both have 400 levels at wvw. One player plays only single char and other 8 chars… Is it fair that the one who has been playing only one character has 8 times the wvw exp? (Sure, player 2 has the same levels, but can use only 1/8 of them at the time.) They both have invested the same amout of time&effort. To me this is huge turnoff, as you are either forced to play only one char or being far behind in wvw. Players who take time to level multiple chars should be rewarded, not punished.

I have 7 chars and I really would like to play all of them at wvw. Nowdays I just have to stick with one(, or 2) because of the huge diff. at having wvw-levels or not having them. Please consider making them account bound.
