If they tone down burning .
Im not adding anything to the thread but with somebody with the name of Lucifer saying we need to tone down burning makes me giggle
I would rather they take out the damaging conditions and put in 1s of cripple like Crippling dissipation (but less!). That way you can’t just rely on clone damage to get your job done.
Clone death matters. Why?
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/professions/mesmer/
Mesmers are magical duelists who wield deception as a weapon. Using powerful illusions, clones, and phantasmal magic to confuse and distract their foes, mesmers make sure every fight is balanced in their favor and their opponents can’t believe their eyes.
That is the quote from the Guild wars 2 website.
Clone death traits allows for punishment for players or mobs making the wrong choice. Is distraction not the purpose of clones other than shattering?
Why should we not be able to punish other classes for making the wrong choice. Even reducing the duration of the effects would be better than taking all the dissipation traits out.
“We didn’t want to reward players for letting clones die or for replacing clones, which are both not optimal play” is what you mentioned on stream yesterday. I believe that this is not correct. It is inefficient yes but it allows us mesmers to make the other team think twice about just randomly swinging at us. Why should our resource, that we create, have no benefit when others try to destroy it.
Mesmers are about giving the enemy a choice: deal with us on our terms or face the consequences. And that is why clone death matters.
Will HoT allow conditions to affect structures? Condition classes would like to know. This would fix quite a few problems including the famed turret engies in PVP.
Im really hoping with the new conditions and boons that there will be a reasonable fix to condition stacking on large PvE mobs encounters.

Well this is interesting. In case anyone missed it:

What do y’all think? Personally I’m hopeful that this means better communication of players needs and ideas to the devs. I know many people see this and think “whats the point? It’s not like anything we say has a difference anyway” but that’s not entirely true.
Off the top of my head the changes to:
- GS 3
- Scepter 1 and 2
- Confounding Suggestions
- Lockdown traits
- Some bug fixes (including staff chaos storm sound, distortion bug)
All were influenced by us here in the Mes forums, so there is hope!
Don’t forget about Torch #5!
nobody remebers Torch 5
It has been the same since beta and is hardly used other than shatter fodder. Would love you guys to look at this.

Just noticed that my clones are now randomly putting poison on death due to dibiliating dissipation. Please let this stay Anet!
where did you encounter that happening? sure not chaos storm was the source of poison or something else?
i cannot reproduce your findingswas trying it at chieftain/svanir in the mists and in pve just letting the mobs kill my clones (and with overwriting my clones at golem to force death) and poison does not get applied, nothing unusual just bleeding vuln and weakness as described in the wiki for dibiliating dissipation
I now also cannot reproduce now since the 2nd patch. Poison was renewing on the mobs from the clones. Did not use chaos storm at all to make sure. Too good to be true i suppose
