A 2v4 turning into a 2v5 after you’ve stomped the first one, awesome fight dude!

In 1vx fights, be it PvP or WvW, I’ve found that low HP opponents tend to disengage, separating themselves from their friends. Phase Traversal is my go-to finisher in those scenarios as you quite often get a quiet moment to yourself with your prey.

That’s some nice roaming right there! Keep the videos coming, they are highly appreciated for an aspiring Revenant roamer like myself!

GS auto attack on the same target will now sum up the total damage dealt, rather than displaying damage dealt per surge.

vs CnD spammers you need to shatter often, they can’t CnD on a running illusion in shatter mode, and wasted CnDs cost a lot of initiative.
The backstabbers can indeed be nasty if you aren’t prepared. It’s especially bad if you are playing outnumbered with a competent backstabber in the mix.

Don’t get me wrong but about cond thieves you have no idea what you are talking about. Dire thief can caltrop you to death very fast jumping around and newer give you a chance to hit him. Caltrops kill phats and clones fast as well.

I’m talking about my experience. I don’t deny that there are skilled players of any class out there. But the condi thieves I’ve been up against haven’t posed the biggest of threats.

Every time i see 1v X vids all X’s are usually noobs. I refer to first part of vid 1. In my experience ppl who are not at list 100+ rank usually suck. Unless they did a lot PVP before WvW. Sorry have no patience to watch it all. Still nice vids and good job. I am curios how you do against cond builds with just 2 cond removal every 20 sec.

In regards to the skill level of my opponents, it’s pretty much what doiid said. If I’m up against 2+ players who are more skilled than I, chances are I’ll get owned, hard.

Versus condi specs I would claim that you need to handle each condi class differently.
Condi mesmers – Ignore clones, don’t attack their scepter blockm let your illusions rack up the bleeds and most condi PU mesmers I’ve fought just melt.
Condi engis – I’ve actually never had the pleasure of fighting any truly skilled condi engis, but they are very melee focussed —> Keep the distance, dodge the magnetic pull and just kite them to death.
Condi warriors – Can actually be quite the nuisance (9 stacks of confusion on interrupt can be a pain), on the rare occasion that I face one of these, I find I have to slot Phantasmal Disenchanter.
Condi necros – Highly annoying, my personal worst nemeses. Keeping a good distance is highly recommended. You can theoretically slot Phantasmal Disenchanter + Mantra of Resolve + Null Field, depending on how bad you are vs how good they are
Condi thieves – They don’t normally seem to pose much of a threat, just time your dodges and Blurred Frenzy well.
Condi rangers?
Condi guardians?
Condi eles?

As Nubu said, Deceptive Evasion does work well with Debilitating Dissipation. But mostly, clones from greatsword as well as sword can stack a nice amount of bleeds with Sharper Images, and Deceptive Evasion helps keeping a constant flow of clones.

The lack of shattering has been pointed out to me previously, and it is something I’m working towards improving.

With this build, to me, it would seem that shattering at the wrong time can be a lot more devastating than not shattering at all. Losing all your phantasms with no CDs ready is something that has killed me a few times

Two things I’m actively working on:
1. Mind wrack with 3 clones (I don’t like wasting my phantasms since they do more good alive than shattered).
2. Mid battle if most of my illusions go down —> mirror blade/illusionary leap/(or anything that spawns a clone close to my target) + f3 to interrupt

I’m still a noob in my eyes however, and while mastering these would certainly help me out; they don’t have THAT big of an impact compared to everything else on the level I’m playing, vs the people I’m fighting.

I do try to double stealth on veil most of the times, however, sometimes I feel it is neccessary not to. One example is where your enemies are spamming the veil in hoping you will actually still be there, as in the last clip where you can see the Ranger laying down muddy terrain and the Ele casting the static field. Furthermore, in the clip with the two necros, I badly wanted the stomp on the Ele asap, hence it would in my opinion be a bad idea to wait around for a second stealth on veil. Fighting 2 opponents is always better than fighting 3 even though it may seem wasteful to use that many long CD skills for such a purpose.

I am remarkably bad at using my shatter skills though, and this video showcases that clearly. Thanks for noticing! I will try my best to incorporate them into my gameplay more often.

tPvP with glory boosters (normal 50% ones and birthday ones if you have), buy a tome of knowledge for every 1500 glory you make.

That’s how I’m currently levelling my mesmer, and the gold gain is nice too!

so I lookd at the skill once more. If I take Spectral Attunement and Spectral Mastery I should get 45 seconds of swiftness every 48 seconds. If I have any boon duration or swiftness duration multipliers then I should easily have 100% swiftness uptime (correct me if I’m wrong please).

Spectral Attunement does not increase swiftness duration by 50%. It only increases the “skills”, which in this case would be the duration of the “walk”, from 8 sec to 12 sec.

There should be some sort of spectating system and rebalancing options in the middle of the game.
In a 5v4 situation, either force someone (based on score, rank or whatever) to spectate, or let one from the other team spectate willingly until either a) the game is over or b) a solo joiner can enter and fill the missing spot.

It seems like they’ve fixed the bug where 2x runes of lyssa (total 40% condi duration) gave Incendiary ammo 3 ticks of burning. Instead what you get now is the proper 2 ticks. Is runes of lyssa still worth it for some other reason? What would you replace them with if they serve no other purpose Ostricheggs?

As the title suggest, a thives’ ‘steal’ ability, targeted on an inanimate object will result in getting yourself stuck without the ability to do anything. No mobs will target you and you cannot target anything either, relogging does not break being stuck. The only ways I’ve found to break free so far is having a friend break the inanimate object for you or use a Waypoint.

As a side note, one of my test tries resulted in an “Under the world”-experience but I did not manage to reproduce this.
