Maguuma did it an hour and a half ago for the first time
We got Amber to 2 armour stacks earlier. People figured out you need 20 to be debuffed and eaten but no one was picking up the harpoons except for like 4 of us. We got eaten I think 4 times in total. Just gonna take time for people to learn whats what. Amber has some pretty simple mechanics for that part (there may be more parts after the armour buff is down I don’t know)
Does anyone have any suggestions on traits I should focus on while leveling an Ele? I came back to the game after taking a break since SAB was near done. I was looking to play a new class since I am quite bored of my Ranger and also bored of leveling my Warrior. However I am finding that it is very difficult for me to kill stuff as my Ele without just absolutely getting destroyed. Maybe I am just used to the really easy leveling of both the Ranger and Warrior? I just seem to be incredibly weak
Roaming around / Zerging – Two Devourers, just because they are ranged and can stay alive
Dungeons – Drake / Jaguar or Devourer
PvP – Wolf / Hound
I really like using Devourers just cause I feel like they fit my Charr Ranger more than other pets do
A lot of the community wants the dragon fights to continue, including myself. But looking from ANet’s perspective they can’t really just blast through all their main storyline content within the first year or two of the games cycle. We will hopefully go and fight the remaining Elder Dragon’s. I for one am really excited for Jormag / Kralk.
They are a major part of the current Living Story storyline. Just like the Risen being a major part of the main storyline of the game. They will probably remain until the Living Story moves in a different direction (which it might with the end of this current event)
I really like the two new updates. I understand that the whole zerg content isn’t for everyone but it seems like it brings people together to work for a goal. I like this a whole hell of a lot better than just running around maps racing people to Dragon Pinata spawns
I find it so weird to see this topic on here. I am mostly a PvE player but started dabbling in PvP recently, came here to find some builds for Ranger lol. In PvE pets are the most annoying thing to manage to not die lol.
Anyone got any good looking Charr Rangers? Ive been having trouble finding armour that suits the class / suits the Charr race. So far I am just rocking the CoF set which looks okay but I want something more Ranger like
I tend to play this game in bursts, will play a lot within the span of 2-3 days and then take little breaks. It usually works out that I will play a lot when a new update is released and then my playtime will slowly dwindle until the next update. While I do like the constant updates to the game, I am very worried its just going to be this string of temporary content that doesn’t accomplish anything other than making me play for a couple of days and then going back to doing my tiny progress with the game (such as world completion, 1% to go, all I need is my server to become red in WvW >.<). Most of the content of the living story I do within a day or two. Such as, this new Bazaar stuff I did the majority of the content within the first few days and now am back to doing my normal killing world bosses and dailies.
I know they have said this but they really need to have a lot of this stuff be permanent. So I don’t feel like I have to do all this content / achievements within the 2 weeks to have that experience. I wasn’t playing during the Flame and Frost update so I will never be able to experience that content. While it does keep me playing, I would much rather have some big update or content patch that adds another storyline branch to the game that involves the after effects of Zhaitan being killed and the progress towards defeating another ED. I know these content patches are somewhat like that but they feel so disjointed and kind of like cheap content. On a side note though I really enjoy the Bazaar map, not necessarily the content in this patch so much but the new area is absolutely gorgeous
I don’t mind this sidetrack from the Elder Dragon storyline, gives you a sort of break inbetween. However, as someone who took a break from the game for awhile (stopped playing for a bit once I hit 80 and got bored, started playing again during Wintersday content and now just started to play again this summer) the story of this whole side stuff is lost on me. While I was heavily invested in the personal story / main storyline of the game, I don’t feel that connection with this side stuff. The characters, at least for me, are way less interesting than the members of Destiny’s Edge. I mean right now we are dealing with some political council thing where the Aetherblade’s tried to weasel a spot on the council so they have inside information or something? Now we are having some thing with both Kiel and Gnash trying to get a spot on the council as well.
I was kind of hoping at the end of Dragon Bash we would have some awesome event where one of the Elder Dragon’s minions launches a massive attack on Lion’s Arch which would then lead to the battle with said Elder Dragon. I just find the main storyline in the game to be so much more interesting, uniting the Pact to push into Orr, gain control of the area, and fight Zhaitan and his minions. It was awesome. Obviously they put way more time into that storyline in comparison with the current updates but I would like to see it going somewhere. Maybe after this Bazaar event, and most likely the election of either Kiel or Gnash in the next event, we will see some progress. I just remember being so interested in the storyline in GW1 throughout all of the expansions that has been a bit lost on me in this game and I find it harder to follow / be interested in
