I’ve considered that it’s possibly because the game will only make use of 2 of my cpu cores and AMD cpu’s don’t have the greatest single core performance, but I’d like to know if I can get a better experience out of the game

There is sadly nothing you can do to help the performance accept overclock but it doesn’t help it much. I had a AMD 8150 oc to 4.5ghz and still my game suffered. I switched to intel i7 3930k and the performance boost was amazing. As you mentioned the AMD cpu has horrible single core performance and GW2 runs on a single core. The only way to get better framerates is to switch to intel. You could get the intel i7 3770 or the 4770 for better gaming experience. Or you could get the 3930k like mine. Hope that helps.

Not really … Guild wars uses 4 cores…. so FX will beat i3…

3 cores usage 100%
4 cores usage 80-90%
6 cores usage 50-65%

I tried with i7 3770 and same droops happens … WHY? poor server optimization

OC FX 6300 to 3,8GHz+ (you will be able with stock cooler)

set 1.25-1.275vcore 3,8Ghz you can go for 4,0GHz with 1,3V-1.325V.

All power saver – off
Set character limit to lowest

with i7 just set character limit to lowest

better network you get you better performance i tried and it work better….

PS: When you played with FX 8150 it was probably poor optimization for FX

you can overclock and fx6300 till 4.2 ghz with an decent pc housing with enough vents i oced it to that with an antec 903 (5 vents)

A i5 : 2500k,2550k,3570k,,4670k, or i7: 2600k,2700k,3770k,4770k would all be great choices.

I would never recommend som1 to buy a 3930k or other LGA 2011 chip for pure gaming tbh., they’re not cheap and 90% of games wont use all the threads. That said, ithe 3930k is still a beastly CPU

A for AMD vs Intel, we all know Intel has the lead in gaming, so that a done to death argument.

it also depends with the amd vs intel arguments when the fx 8350 came out they tested it against the latest intel then they where both on the same performace line but when it came to streaming amd was superior alot less fps drops then an intel

and an hd7790 oc edition 2gb
gw2 installed on an ssd drive
and my performance is ok
i have like 80 fps in pve zones 35-60 in wvw i big fights it drops to like 28 but still playable on medium high settings

i also have the same color blindness as u have and yeah it really sucks with some aspects of the game but ohwel hope anet will support a color blind assist in the near future idc if its only for the AoE rings it will be a great improvement overall

this isseu isnt only in wvw i saw this isseu in some major towns yesterday also
especially in divinity`s reach complete building where invisible
after restarting my client it was ok it happends from time to time

@Danielrjones i can confirm this its bin a month or so when my gw2 account got hacked and i immediatly sended in a ticket
it took about 3 hours when my account was restored and rolled back be4 the hack they actually did it pretty fast
proberly because i was playing atm they hacked me so i could immediatly respond to it

Personally i think the new armors will be gem purchase only
why ? because the armor skins item code is just 1 code for the full armor skin same as the armor skins we have now in the gem store like the aether ones and primeval etc

Hey there Anet when u using wind crystal there is an bug where you can reduce the cooldown on the mistform like skill
when using the skill and be4 it ends when you dodge the cooldown of the skill is reduced to 3 seconds ,
when normally it should be 9 seconds if skill ends normal

Like i said im using an stock running fx6300 and since amd is not great in single thread performance wouldnt mean they cant handle the game
as i play wvw alot on med/high setting and character details in wvw set to low and numbers to lowest i can easely take on 60v60v60

ive had a same problem my solution was trow away the keyboard and boaght another it solved my isseu
anyways it could be that there is some dust under ur keys that may be causing this isseu i recomend to return to your retailer and trade it for a new one

cant tell you that about an i5 since i mostly run with amd anyways fx 6300 aint a bad cpu i think it has more to do with the single thread gaming mechanics that amd doesnt handle very well
although personally i think the fx6300 is one of the strongest cpu`s of amd that handle single thread gaming very well
cant tell u much about pentium obviously
maybe you can try upgrade your gfx card to get an higher fps since fps is more related to an gfx card then a cpu
myself are using an hd7790 1gb oc edition for me its ok anyways i wish u getting it better that suits ur play style

1 hour? normal patch times was 2.5 hours ago anyways according to some players on facebook it seems that the patch hitted NA allready like 1.5 hours ago? not sure if it are lies or not

im having an steady fps arround 60-70 in pve/instances as for wvw i arround 30-35 with this cpu running at standard 3.5 Ghz and graphic settings are set on medium/high on windowd full screen 1980*1080
when on best performance i have arround 80-90 in pve/ instances and arround 50 in wvw
also u can try to oc it for a few fps more but it u wont see much difference in my experience had it running before on 4.3 ghz stock cooler and there wasnt much performance increase

when it crashes it caps my fps to 10 and having some major input lagg from my mouse and keyboard

I still wonder why some people fall for it as you all fill-ed in your information name`s adresses emails when you registered your account Arenanet knows everything you registered with so why would they ask for info
they just look up your email and know it plz people dont fall for this crap

i do like this dungeon also although its not that hard enough its like a knive through butter
although the dungeon isnt made for zerkers when u have 2 a 3 zerkers in your party its gonna fail u
some mobs just one shot you,
but when u have a decent balanced group u can just walk through it
i love my first run since u didnt know what to expect our first run took about 40 a 45 min i do think its pretty decent for this dungeon

i dont think it will be in any chest for the armors personal im thinking they new full armor sets as ive seen there will be an new dungeon perhaps its that dungeons armor we will see afterall

nope the sounds are gone after the ritual when defening?
all hitting attacks are gone u only hear ur character coughing when u hit lol

Hi there devs after killing the eye in The source of Orr mission when u start defending the ritual the Attack sounds get bugged no hit sounds are there also when ending cinematic starts u only hear the music

Hey ive had this isseu in guildwars 1 on american servers my fps dropped from 120 to 4 after some checking it seems it was an latency isseu when traveling to eu servers my fps was stable dont ask me how,
but maybe it helps with ur isseu

after my login it asked for an authentication code and it worked on my new phone gl

@astral yeah thanks they restored my account allready and actually i really never had any problems with arenanet`s service of support even in gw1 the service was good in my experience but then again its also what info u provide them ofc

hey Anet i was a witness of my account being hacked just arround 20 min ago as i noticed both my email and gw2 pass where changed,
i imedietly changed my emails password and recovered my gw2 account as my friends where checking what the hacker was doing after the recovery i logged in and saw a few items where sold .
i tried to register at support but it said my email was allready registered so i clicked on forgot pass and account name filled in my email but no email was sent so i contact support filled in an ticket set up an mobile authenticatior
now what i want to know how will i be informed when i cant login to “my” Support account
