Thank god i just need to finish one daily to finish the Fractal Capacitor and all it’s upgrades, then i’m done until this is fixed.
My reward for lvl31 Daily with Mai Trin: Empyreal Fragments and Pristine Relic, amazing.
Considering how much times i had to kick people since i was the only one standing and another pug, this is ridiculous at best, basically it’s like i need an organized Guild to do this properly, fair enough, much better, but same results even if less, not to mention i don’t want to wait for people in Guild that actually do fractals to be Online.
This punishes new players, not only new in the sense that got the game late but also those who might want to start doing fractals, yeah they most likely won’t when they see people that do fractals frequently complaining about Mai Trin, which happens.
When i started asking for new ppl in LFG tool: “lvl31 mai trin, need people that know how to dodge”
Then there’s this Warrior saying “two people didn’t know how to dodge?” since we had 2 slots available when he joined, and i said “let’s see if you know how to dodge”, and he said, “i’m lvl50 on fractals” and i said, “it won’t matter”. So we proceed and he is the first one to go down, and a second, and a third time.
What do i want to say with this? That it’s funny when people in LFG ask for experienced people when they can’t even dodge a single attack, it’s like they just randomly dodge and then brag about their level and kick players with low AP (i got an ele with 3k AP that gave more might alone than the two guards in the group on a run i did yesterday, one of the guards had 8k AP and the other 11k, for the record i have 10k in case you’re wondering about the exp people part.
Again what do i mean, i mean that this Mai Trin change punishes pugs, or what i mentioned people that ask for experienced people, with high AP when themselves have no experience at all, and this change proves it. Anyway…
Is this a try for people to go for the new prefix?
Not going to happen, this prefix isn’t meant to be used in fractals unless by a support guard, but making the whole team use it? That’s beyond a joke, i mean, of course if thats the idea the whole team needed to use it since people pointed out the prefix, and it wouldn’t make sense when they did that to mention just one guy, i mean, what difference would it make for one guy (with the new prefix) to be up while the others where down whereas they hadn’t the prefix?
Even if all had the new prefix it wouldn’t matter, people would still get downed no matter how much experience they had, because the prefix provides no Power nor Precision, which means lack of DPS, and by the time people did X DPS Mai Trin had done a ton of attacks already, it’s beyond me how people even think the new prefix helps with Mai Trin (again unless being used by support Guard, but still one guy without lack of DPS will do nothing if other still get hit).
Such effort to get a Pristine Relic at the end, amazing. I’m done with fractals unless they revert this back since this isn’t a challenge but rather a number check. They should had reworked Jade Maw not change Mai Trin.
trin is new dredge.
I’d play any day 3 straight dredges (before they changed it) if that meant i wouldn’t had to deal with this Mai “Broken” Trin as last fractal.

I’d be ok with that (no change to the damage) as i rarely get hit (i play Thief), but with the current reward rate (and completely random fractal skin if it ever decides to appear) i’d rather not play fractals after this change because i see a lot of people getting downed one shot even on Daily 11 xD
Believe it or not, i got Daily Reviver today doing Daily 31, then people disbanded and i started my own instance and managed to get it done on second try, still it’s pretty annoying to see this.
Also this isn’t a challenge, the only mechanics here is dodging and making her get hit by blue AoE, i’m sorry but i fail to see how this is a challenge, this is a number check, nothing else.
If we look at Liadri (which i did the 8 Orbs), we have to make Shadows go to white spot, then we have to throw the thing at her, while dodging the sphere that pulls us and also a quarter of the area as AoE, after she starts attacking the AoE becomes North-South, West-East, repeat, we also need to look for shadows so we don’t get hit by them while we kite and dps Liadri, this is a Challenge, compare how many mechanics there are in here and how many there are in Mai Trin, again i fail to see how Mai Trin is a challenge, unless you are referring to the part where you can get combat Medic title in one day while you keep dodging the attacks and resurrecting others.

Hello, i’d like to make a suggestion so that we would have a Replays option in sPvP.
We could watch our own matches so we could see what mistakes we have done or just watch them later because we liked X and Y matches, etc.
There should also be an option on the sPvP Browser where we could see most viewed replays, where we could also browse by player name and see those players replays, however this would be up to Anet since there might be some reasons not to let people see other people replays, i’d be happy with just watching my replays.

I’ve seen some people saying Super Adventure Box, however since map chat is usually the best place to read nonsense, i don’t know. However it fits with the reply you got “Fun Stuff”.
Can also be Dragon Bash, there’s the DB minis on the Gem Store so could also be this, i’d love that it would be SAB since i never had the chance to play it despite playing from the start.
The chaos of Lyssa is worth 2500 gold and you can open 300 tickets an hour easily. So even if the drop rate was 1 in 10,000 that would be 70 gold an hour. So don’t expect to open a thousand gauntlet chances and get a chaos of Lyssa.
I’ve been telling this but people don’t seem to understand even if explained.

- 1 Mini Toxic Hybrid
- 1 Spore Back Skin
If we’d get even a Monocle every 1000 bags i’d be rich by now (didn’t bother with Chances at all anymore despite having the tickets).
However i agree the drop rate should be better, we’re looking at an Ascended back piece, that costs what it costs as recipe, plus the mats. If this was intended to be Legendary then i’d agree, but as ascended back item i feel like it shouldn’t be so hard to get.
Anyway most people just want it so they can sell, it’s not like they even like it, so in this case it’s ok if it’s so rare.

We agree the scoreboard needs an overhaul at some point. What kind of functionality would you want to see on the scoreboard? Stat comparison between teams? Between players? What you scored best in?
The comparison would be between players (in sw:tor you have the option as you can see on the tabs below the scoreboard [all, allies, enemies]). I also like the idea of an MVP vote option like in SW:TOR. You can’t vote for yourself. You have to vote for someone else on the team, and they get a bonus for the MVP placement.
I’ve never played this game, but something like this (info) or similar sounds like a good idea.

If you look close enough to this Season’s name you’ll notice (Spring Season) what you can expect, there might be a Summer Season, an Autumn Season, Winter…
Nobody got finisher because the Rewards are bugged, some people got less tickets than they should and other people didn’t even got their rewards, such as me (which is a good thing since i rather receive the proper rewards than something that wasn’t supposed to happen), all we can do it wait for Tuesday.
why not just reduce the price of the gift to 100 and the mist forge weapons to 200 before Tuesday so that everyone can buy at least one and the 1st through 3rd place get 2 weapons (1st gets an extra normal weapon for later).
This current design just validates why so many people jumped servers. these tournament shouldn’t be about gaming better rewards but actually fighting for the servers design. don’t disregard those that bother to stay with their servers even if they might be mid to low tiers.
I genuine don’t care about the weapon skin, but the above is just the right thing to do. I’m in an almost empty server wvwwise, and I can tell that all the players whom I witnessed fighting really hard, despite having inferior numbers almost all the time, deserve a nice reward. Especially SoR guys. I know that if I were in those guys shoes, I would never ever set foot on WvW this season.
The way it is right now, this reward is just bs.
I’d like to support this, as someone on a Top Server (500 tickets), i feel like everyone should be able to get at least one Mistforged Weapon, the current way this was planned is pretty bad, we go back to the same problem as in PvP, if i want to make a legendary weapon there’s no way i’m gonna play sPvP at all, because the rewards (which are better than nothing) and still pretty terrible, so once again i feel forced to do something because there’s no way i can farm doing what i like to get to my goal, unless i want to spend a year(s) of my life to get a single virtual item, no.
I could be more patient, until we come to the part i’m forced to do something else if i have a goal set such a legend, so i get frustrated and this is not appealing, i feel like GW2 has turned into something that forces us to do X over and over while Y and Z were put to the side.
Same thing happens with these decisions, people on low rank servers are already frustrated by getting conquered by others and there’s not much they can do, so they are thrown deeper into the abyss because they can’t even get one single Weapon Mistforged weapon, there’s already the frustration of losing and then Anet gives them potatoes to make them more frustrated, i don’t know, but i’m pretty sure a lot of people won’t be pleased with this.
ANet you wanted people not to abuse WvW by moving around the servers, so you introduced rewards that only better servers can actually get them, what does this mean? Yes, people will move around again, same thing all over again.
I don’t know anymore what to think, but i’m pretty sure a lot of people aren’t pleased at all with the lack of communication from Anet and the lack of fixing issues that are still here since day 1, which i don’t think we need to beat a dead horse all over again, but think about how much frustration you give those poor people on low rank servers, there’s this new popular MMO that people have been talking about, i’m pretty sure a lot will move over, and this is a really bad thing, i love this game, as much as i loved GW1, but GW2 lacks so much and you keep frustrating people, this isn’t appealing to make people keep playing at all.
The idea of making the Gift of Heroes cost 100 Tickets seems a great idea, or you can give everyone a Mistforged weapon of their choice on June 3rd and also the tickets.
Sorry for the long post, and somewhat rant, but if there’s rant it means people are frustrated, please think about this, thank you for your time.

Have you played that fractal since they changed it in this patch? There’s no more hordes of dredge in there.
Yes, the gems were there, for PAID tournaments. Which you had to pay gems for (or get lucky with free tournaments).
I’m pretty sure there were more ways to get the Tournament tickets other than buying them with Gems, i might be wrong.

Gold increase is a good idea, i gave the idea of gems because like i said, they can be converted to gold, i’m not expecting Anet to ever give a decent amount of gold per SoloQ win, either way something that makes sPvP appealing so i don’t have to go spend so much time doing PvE to get Bolt, i’ve done tons of Gold Pavilion runs and i can’t take it anymore, like i said i don’t like to feel forced to do the same over and over, sometimes is ok to do something else, but like this not very appealing at all to me, i feel like a machine doing the same over and over.

No gems for losing but increased gems for winning. If you give people gems for losing we will get more afking players in soloq and teamq.
Maybe 25 per soloq win and 35 per teamq win. 0 for losing.
^ creating gems is better than creating gold as gems are not converted into gold but players buy them so its a gold sink.
You are correct when it coems to gold, but then again i’d be missing new Gem Store (((Temporary))) items because if i spend gold converting Gold to Gems it wouldn’t work because it’s like i’d be going days or even weeks backwards that i took to get that gold, so i’m on the same spot of my goal with the Legendary Bolt.
Again, from my point of view the Gems would be up to Anet, i just gave an idea of something not insanely high.

I don’t want more gold, i’d like to be more rewarded in sPvP, in my case for doing a Legendary, if T6 mats have a pretty bad low drop rate from those bags, plus we get a few bags every X Hours yeah, no point. Increasing the gold per match and removing daily limit would be an option, but i feel like Gems would work better since it would also be an incentive to buy the Gem Store new Outfits/Finishers.

As for getting good rewards by doing what we like I agree. But if you suddenly add Gem acquisition to sPvP you all of a sudden “force” people to do sPvP in order to get those gems and thus are back at the exact same place.
The gems were in sPvP a long time ago but were removed, it’s not creating something out of nowhere, it’s bringing something back.
Back when there were Gems in sPvP (paid Tournaments) people didn’t zerg to sPvP to get Gems, because in PvE was still better to make gold.
Another option would be removing gold from sPvP wins and giving Gems instead, and from there people would keep them or convert them to gold.
Yet another option would be to get sPvP Tokens (since Glory is gone), where we could trade for Various items that we are getting right now with the Reward Tracks, such as Dungeon Tokens, Dungeon Items, Tomes etc. In the list would be Gems.
Since this is over i’ll have to create a thread.

Some of you might remember well that we used to get Gems for doing Ranked sPvP.
I agree it was somewhat of good call for them to remove them as it would cause them to lose money and therefor would be bad on their end, but that’s because the amount of Gems you used to get was insane, so instead of reducing Anet just removed them completely.

Yes, it’s insane 120 Gems per Win. Getting 10 Gems per SoloQ Win (5 loss) and 15 per tPvP (8 loss) would be great already (maybe these values are too low or maybe high, but that would be up to Anet).
Let’s take a look at the current rewards system, the current rewards system is decent because it gives Silver, Champion Bags, some mats, Weapon and Armors, which people that pretty much just play sPvP would look at it as a skin unlock.
However it made people that used to rarely play sPvP come back due to the reward system, which is good because now everyone has a bit more motivation to play sPvP even if Hotjoin.
But let’s go to the core of the problem i’m trying to point out, currently i’m half-way to rank 80 (i was rank 50 before patch), i like sPvP a lot and i’ve managed to get all Arah armor plus a few and expensive rare skins before the new update, it saved me a lot of frustration because i don’t really have much patience at all anymore specially for Dungeons (Also, 300 fractals, 200 of which are lvl20-30s never seen a single skin nor Ascended Weapon/Armor chest, this doesn’t matter here, it’s just to point out how the current reward system works, there’s a Google Docs spreadsheet, and apparently doing 40-50 fractals only raises the chances of getting them by 3% at best), anyway what i’m trying to point out is that i set a Goal, which in my current case is Bolt, there’s no way i’m going to be doing sPvP anytime soon (or that much at all anymore) if i want Bolt, because it would take an insane high amount of time to get the money i want (plus 24/7), currently the max gold you can get per day on SoloQ is 15g, you get champion bags but i’m not expecting to get T6 mats from all bags, i’m not even expecting to get one Charged Lodestone in 100 bags (i got more than 200 bags in Pavilion runs and got one Charged Lodestone, however the bags here are much easier to get)
So how do Gems help? Gems can be converted to Gold, it would definitely help filling that hole there is in the sPvP Rewards (again Gem values would be up to Anet), sure not everyone might want to do a Bolt or a Legendary, but that’s not the point, there people who care and those who don’t, if they don’t care then it won’t matter because it’s the same to them, is that simple, what about those who care and have a goal set? Potatoes.
Plus we could get those new Finishers and Outfits, but if i set a Goal to a Legendary i won’t be converting gold to Gems so i can get the Legendary i’m working so hard for, and i will miss the Gem store items, which is another problem.
We should be able to get good rewards by doing what we like, not by feeling forced to do something we don’t really appreciate. Again the new sPvP reward system is decent, better than nothing but by far not appealing if i have a goal set such as a Legendary or even new Gem Store items.
Sorry for the somewhat rant, sometimes frustration takes the best of me.
The reason why a high-end item was introduced is so that they could spur gem sales (to buy gold, and then the recipe from the TP). Anet will probably make it easier to obtain through actual game play rather than a credit card transaction after NCsoft has gotten their cut of gem sales.
That doesn’t make much sense, even if that was by any chance the idea, because, for peopel to buy it, it has to drop first, if there’s no supply what’s the point of buying gems and convert them to gold?

This thread is to share knowledge on which items drop from the Gauntlet chances and therefor know what to expect and/or if it’s worth to spend more time farming them (so people don’t spend tons gold converting Tokens+Silver into Tickets if they don’t think it’s worth it).

It is not bugged, i’ve seen it on TP 2 times, one for 999g and another for 2000g, plus the 1500g and 1999g offers were gone.
The drop rate it’s meant to be this low, that’s all.
The current system doesn’t appeal anyone and make a quite interesting activity to lack a lot replayability outside of maybe daily completion for festival tokens (if these tokens are needed. I’ve little use for them outside Gauntlet Tickets, and I’ve no use for these outside of token farming :P)
Of course, since I really like the gauntlet, I would go hands down for a much more complex and elaborated reward system where harder fights are likely to be more profitable, just like you described.
I would love, for example, a Liadri reward that grows exponentially depending on how many additional orbs are thrown at her during phase 2. However, since this kind of things are really (and sadly) unlikely to happen, I would be fine just with anything that doesn’t completely look like a lottery :P
It’s true the rewards system in GW2 could be so much better, even with the progress into PvP rewards they’re still pretty bad, if i want to get a legendary there’s no way i’m going to waste any time in PvP because i’d be losing time and gold since there’s much better ways to farm, such as the Crown Pavilion, and when not available EotM is also pretty decent…until the precursors Skyrocket, i made 200g so far since the start of this renewed Crown Pavilion, however looking at 200g right now is like i’m looking at 100g before the Precursors Skyrocketed (and this in one week isn’t anything special at all, considering i could do Daily dungeon run and get about the same since i sold all materials i got in Crown pavilion too), then comes WvW Rewards, capping a Tower in EotM… 24 Badges, capping a Tower in EB or Borders 4~ Badges, but thats another story, just pointing out rewards are not good or appealing, even the daily Dungeon run is not good anymore at all, GW2 economy has always been a mess, and i guess at this point there’s not much Anet can do (unless they make some new ((motivating)) ways to farm), distributing various new rewards through the World.
I’ve opened now 1250~ Gauntlet chances, 7 Favors, nothing else. I only keep doing them because i have guess i still believe i’ll get something nice, i was looking for the Monocle, the only reason i’d want the Recipe would be to sell it, but knowing my luck that’s never going to happen.
Anyway, like i said, i don’t think it makes sense for good stuff to be easy to acquire, they could do like this: add a system within the game that checks how many times we’ve done X and from there keep increasing the chances to get something decent, says the drop chance is 0.01, it keep increasing to 0.02 (this is a 200% increase lol) and so on, obviously to prevent abuse this would reset after X bags or X time, there’s plenty that can be done, but i guess Anet doesn’t care that much at all anymore, we’ll see with LS2.
Seems that there’s a lot of confusion in here.
For people pointing out the wiki, the Wiki can be edited by anyone, just like pretty much every Wiki out there, it is a place for people to share knowledge and help each other (not in a direct way, but by adding and editing pages to share their knowledge), so people shouldn’t always be so sure about Wiki.

In addition to purchasing these rewards from the vendor at the end of the tournament, some of these items will be available in reward chests for individual achievements. Mistforged Hero’s weapons can either be purchased directly for tickets or crafted in the Mystic Forge with one Hero’s Weapon, one Gift of Heroes, four bottles of Elonian Wine, and ten Piles of Crystalline Dust. This is to allow players who don’t have enough tickets after 1 tournament to purchase a weapon and upgrade it after a subsequent tournament.
I believe Anet knows this, that’s why they don’t reply at all.
I’ve spent 100g (all i had, was left with 8g) prior to this on materials so i could convert to Festival Tokens, i got the Doly and Watchknight Tonics already (where one was by finishing one of the Master Achievements, however the Tokens are kinda hard to get unless you do Boss Blitz for Gold, however this is where the problems starts.
It is ok that Gauntlet Chances don’t drop the items so easily because lets be honest, we’re looking at Items that costs hundreds of Gold, you can not expect to get hundreds of Gold for every 100 bags you get or everyone would be rich in no time.
What’s NOT ok is how Anet decided to handle the Pavilion this time, people can’t farm anymore at all, in both ground and top floor.
Let’s talk about the top floor, the Top floor is a place for people to test their skills, which i love it, but i like to get rewarded for my efforts, i believe everyone does.
However we don’t get rewarded at all, we don’t get extra bags for defeating Harder bosses, just one bag, we do get more tokens however… if we don’t fail, or we lose a ticket, this is ok, we failed we got punished.
What’s not ok is that no matter which challenge you do (say you do Liadri and i do Quaggan Challenge, we get one bag each, and Quaggan was obviously super easy compared to Liadri, the chances of getting something from both bags are exactly the same, how do i know this? Because they stack in inventory, if you look carefully you already noticed some champion bags with the same name and icons but do not stack, this happens because they have different loot tables/chances at something, here this doesn’t happen, which means we get rewarded with the same thing over and over no matter the effort).
We can use Gambles and get more bags however, but another problem comes, every gamble consumes another Ticket, why is this a problem? Because again Tickets are hard to get unless people do Boss Blitz for Gold, which can then later convert the Tokens to more tickets if they wish, and pay Silver, and like already said, at the end get penalized and lose gold.
How to solve this: either make every Challenge Bag have their own loot table 8which increases based on the active Gambits and/or Challenge or make the ground floor mobs drop loot more often and also tickets and tokens, aka being farmable.
Now let’s talk about ground floor, Boss Blitz is probably the best way to farm Tickets and Tokens, if you go for Gold, which means you get Gold every 7 Min.
From the successful runs i managed organize (waiting for enough coms and explain them and other people my logic) in one Hour, the results for the Tokens where 52 Tokens every 7 Min, which means i did Gold 8 Times, i didn’t do more because i had to go, anyway let’s take a look at tokens/hour:
52×8=416
Which means we get 416 Tokens per hour doing Gold, pretty good i’d say, the problem is that it won’t work out if there’s not enough coms and organization.
Sadly i forgot how many Tickets i got, i know i ended up with almost 160, but i’m not sure if i had any, i don’t think so, even if it’s 150/hour it’s pretty good, but hardly good if people get bronze since people are zerging and will take a lot of time to finish the 6 Champions.
How to fix this: Do not make the Champions scale so much, or the only way this would work out is to get up 6 commanders together that know what to do, however this happens on ONE Overflow (or channel if you want to call it that, which is how it works now, just like in GW1, however we can’t pick the Channel we’re in), how many people are left out? Yeah.

I have now opened 300 bags and no Monocle or Gauntlets, i got 3 Favors of the Pavilion, so i guess the chances are 1:100 for the Favors.
On top of this getting tickets isn’t easy if you play with gambits you spend a lot of tickets and time to get them and then the bags and you get nothing at all.

Alright, a few weeks ago i bought my second Red Ring of Death without knowing i couldn’t use it, unless i infused it but even if i did . So i proceed to send a ticket to support and said i ddin’t know it and there’s no info within the game and they are kind enough to let me choose another ring, so i picked Crystalline Band.
Still i shouldn’t be asking support for help, there should be info within the game, either the NPC regarding this, all trinkets people can use two of the same so they are no expecting this to happen.
Now yesterday i was going for Tailor 500 until i started browsing the Vendor recipes and noticed i need 5 Laurels for each recipe which means now i need 10 days so i can buy the two recipes i want (i just really want the skins), because i’ve spent them 30~ minutes before on Craft Bags, this is really frustrating, it’s ok that we need recipes, but again no info on anything in this game, there should be a Help button or Wiki button within the game that lets us read information about things, or at least NPCs should have a dialogue option where they explain things related to them.
I asked to some people in my Guild and they weren’t aware if these issues either, only two knew it.
Please add some kind of Info/Help to the game so these things don’t happen, thank you.
