His answer might not have been what you are looking for, but do not respond in such a terrible manner please.
Sorry but trying to help by just pointing at the wiki isnt really helpfull.
Almost the same as telling people to google or use the search button.
If it was clear i wouldnt have asked, but the new stats page is really bad in my opinion.
LOL that doesnt help Gilgamesh, stat screen is just plain crap atm.
Anyone ?? I’m confused
Please press H and explain me the stats on the hero screen, specially try to figure out how much life you should have.
Seriously, guys, some of you must be a real pain for your parents on Christmas Eve.
Patience is a virtue.

We are not all Americans, the world isnt only the USA.
When they put up 28th of January on their website people world wide should be able to expect it by then.
If they dont want us to think that, they should say “We are expecting the update before 11:59PM PST on January 28th. Dont hang us on that time since maintenance might be extended.”
Now that would be nice to worldwide users, it would be even nicer to read our local times from our browsers (wich is possible) and adjust the time and date mentioned on there website.
Then i would respect it, not ask to many questions and just wait.
Now i would stay up till 03:00 (24 hour format) and go to sleep because the update wouldnt come till at least seven hours after that time.
I know that, now explain to me where are the User Acceptance Tests wich should be part of this.
Who says they should? Last time I looked Anet owned the game not you. Your paying for the privilage to play THEIR game.
I was replying to the smart guy in front of me.
What he was talking about includes User Acceptance Tests.
People should not throw out stuff without thinking about them.
How about you release patch notes with the stuff you are 100% sure about(balancing, already announced changes/additions) and release other stuff you are not sure about as a surprise content?
That’s exactly what we do—we can’t be 100% sure on ANYTHING until we actually release the update, so we pre-announce nothing.
To everyone here that isn’t a developer – this is called continuous delivery
“Continuous deployment allow software to be developed to a high standard and easily packaged and deployed to test environments, resulting in the ability to rapidly, reliably and repeatedly push out enhancements and bug fixes to customers at low risk and with minimal manual overhead.”
I know that, now explain to me where are the User Acceptance Tests wich should be part of this.
For all of you who keep making “OMG you are pathetic, learn some patience, yadda yadda…” statements and the like, remember that you are on here too.
Besides, most of us are asking for some accountability in patch notes, etc. I don’t see anyone saying they will explode if they can’t login in the next five minutes…
No we get the “Is guild wars down ??” when the patch starts since we dont even get informed in the launcher about any update coming.
Man some of you are downright insane. It would almost be funny if it wasn’t so sad and pathetic.
Things change. If Q&A finds an exploit 10 minutes before the patch then they don’t deploy that part of the patch. If something that was supposed to be fixed is somehow broken in another way they pull that part of the patch. It really isn’t rocket science here, heck it isn’t even high school science.
Q&A should be well done before you release a patch date in general. Do not put up hard limits unless you are sure you can make them.

If that is true you lose all credebility.
You should be 100% sure before any release or dont release it at all.
We are not your Q&A, your Q&A should have tested everything already.
And dont tell me your Q&A is testing till 1 hour before release, else you couldnt even set a date.
And no i dont mind it if bugs are left since not everything will be found by just a department testing.
But before release you must be 100% sure to release it, or else you shouldnt release it.
So if you are 100% sure you can release the patch notes too and not be afraid if we start complaining before or after the release.
But do not lie to us. I dont like to be lied to. (Should be “We dont like being lied to”, but i cant speak for everyone)

So imagine you are watching your favorite sport and your favorite team is playing. Now imagine something big is about to happen that decides the outcome of the game that others might (depending on how it turns out) be talking about for some time. Now imagine that your cable company shuts down their network to update or some such right then.
Just about the same thing happening here.
I dont like sports at all, but i like Guild Wars 2.
All these threads/posts are to me, essentially “BLAH BLAH BLAH I’m an entitled gamer and I expect the patch release to align with MY timeline and MY schedule.”
My god people, they said the 28th so it will release on the 28th. They can’t give specific times because if they’re off by just one hour people will have a kitten storm.
They are not off by an hour, but an entire day for me.
Yes that was sarcastic.
I like Jeffrey Vaughn more then the moderators, he didnt lock the topic after his remark :P
Uh what? How can you not get that? PST is a timezone, if its the 28th in that timezone its 28th PST (Pacific Standard Time) meaning sometime within those 24 hours.
So the patch will be out on the 28th PST means the patch will be out before midnight PST. Big difference from say 28th GMT or CET, which ends 7-9 hours earlier.
A date is not a time.
28th for me is between 00:00 and 23:59 and i live in CET.
They only say 28th on there own website no mention of PST anywhere.
So when i look at that site i can think that they are smart people and adjust the displayed date to my own timezone wich they can read from my browser.
So 28th january11:59PM PST whould display 29th of january on my browser.
Am i off that much ??

28th PST is 28th PST, thats just how the world turns… litteraly.
Since when is 28th a time that can have PST added ??
You managed to confuse me.
Topic like this wont help.
Maybe make topics like : https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Timezone/first#post1306087

They will come after the patch since we are not allowed to discuss them before.
With updates like “today” (diferent vs timezones) add a simple script to your website.
Read the timezone from our browsers and adjust the time to that.
Then display our time on your website.
I want a free legendary weapon and a pony. Oh well.
Where did i say i wanted it free ?
The legendary weapon i can work for ingame, so could i for the other 3 pets if they are not account boundand and sellable at the trading post.
I just dont like to be “forced” to use the gem shop.
You’ll have enough to make any two you’d like if you play all five days.
I dont want two, i want them all and not being forced to use the gem shop since they are account bound.
I already have 2 accounts and bought a few gems because i did choose to, not because i was forced.
Wow, another positive post, and I’m frankly really surprised. People hate “form letters,” and I do, too. But being on the other side, I know how important it is for us to get you information that you need, and I’d rather “form letter it” than have you get confusing info, or have a response miss some of the details you need, etc. Our agents are great at responding, and I trust they’d get it right, but for large-scale issues, honestly, a “form letter” is better for everyone, because it gives you as much information as possible as clearly as possible. (Well, “clearly” if I’m doing a good job writing it up. )
Well people can be positive Gaile and i have great respect for your work here.
You are doing a great job on informing people, just hope the unlucky ones get it sorted soon.
Commander get’s stuck at 0% progress on the canon there at Graven Cay.
Just endless amounts of mobs spawning, great for drops and xp.
Who merged a windows 8 problems thread with a thread that just asked if windows 8 would be officially supported ??
Now the thread looks totaly weird.
Sometimes i dont understand moderators.
I’m running it without any problems on the official RTM (Nice to have a dreamspark account)
Guess they will officially support it when it comes out for consumers.
I did not get any crashes till after the last update.
Geforce GTX 570 so guess i’m joining the club.
Memtest found 0 errors.
Crash is severe, sound hangs, dual monitors go black and i need to reset to solve it.
