Engineer is still a great class. The biggest problem ppl have with the class is that it does not bring anything to raids that another class can. When it comes to condi, I am pretty sure that it is only In second place to necro because of epidemic. With power, with the meta build, u can easily get 25k-30k dps in a raid scenario. Even when not in raids, engi power dps is still pretty good. I am sure Xyonon can tell you more, and possibly give you examples.

The top 2 best choices for an engi, hands down, are Asura and Charr.

Dang, I see so many ppl opening sooo many bags. If anyone ever has…to many candy corn/cobs or even too many bags, i’d be happy to take them off your hands for you.

IF a city gets destroyed anytime soon, I can honestly see it either being the Black Citadel, Rata Sum, or Hoelbrak. Rata Sum will be destroyed by either the Mursaat/ White Mantle or Primordus. Black Citadel will be destroyed by the dragon in the Crystal Desert(sry, forgot it’s name, Ktalkatorik?). Hoelbrak will be destroyed by Jormag. Those are just some of the many possible theories.

Does anyone know if there was any leaks for the new elite spec for engi? like there was for some of the others?
I’m thinking we need a mh power weapon, to use with shield, it might be interesting to use. Like perhaps sword, or maybe mace, or something different. I mean, can you imagine running around with sword/shield on your engi, it would be so cool.

I don’t play condi, I play power necro, so I do quite well. I also play pve 99% of the time, and power necro in pve is great.

if you hit 5 targets with rise, you will get 6 minions from it, rise gives you 1 minion, plus 1 for every foe you hit.

Base engi is still very good, scrapper is very good also. And despite the the supposed “nerfs”, gyro’s, turrets, gadgets, elixirs, can still be used, very well actually, just not in meta terms.

Hammer / Scrapper is meta. Base Engi – especially with Rifle or Shield isn’t. They didn’t touch rifle, and the buffs to shield aren’t enough to make it useful. Plus they nerfed Gear Shield – primarily used by vanilla engis… kitten that.

Actually, the base engi is the slightly better then scrapperr in meta terms.

IMO, depending on the builds you use, Mesmer is more group oriented, while necro can basically solo the kitten out of everything.

bloodlust is great, if you can stay alive in a fight/ keel the mobs fast enough. At 25 stacks, it gives you 250 power, which is about 16% damage boost, while force is 5% damage boost.

You can do wvw and pvp for tomes, or just do mapping. Although I have read somewhere that you can power level players in the labyrinth that comes with Halloween, but I haven’t been around for even 1 Halloween, so we will see how that goes.

There are so many people on here complaining about the new balances before they are even here, let’s wait and until they are actually here before the complaining, they may not be as bad you think.

I always keep the warhorn to use right before go into reaper shroud, it makes the reaper shroud bar go down a little slower and allows me to stay in rs longer.

Anyways, I have tried to do this achievement many times already, but still can’t get it. I was just wondering if there was a specific way to do it? A specific time I had to kill the Abom? Or not kill it at all, just wait for it to explode?

OK, I’ve been reading up on the many many theories floating around on these forums about the screams, the anomalies, etc. Man people have many different theories, but there is one thing I have not seen mentioned at all, not even once. If you remember correctly, Scarlet saw the Eternal Alchemy, and went crazy shortly afterward, right? Well, we saw the Eternal Alchemy in LS2. What if that is ALSO apart of it the screams, the anomalies,which we are(supposedly) now cured from, and anything else yall can think of, it’s just happening at a slower pace then it did with Scarlet.
Just another theory to throw out there, let me know what yall think.

We may get some new elite specs with the new xpac that may come out in about a year or so, I do think that there should be a male asura npc with the new engi elite spec, there haven’t been any main engi npc’s that are on the good side…only scarlet, and she was on the wrong side. The rumor about the new engi elite spec the Golemancer would be awesome, a male asura golemancer would be very cool to have as part of the team, although I do think staff would be cooler then what the rumors say.

I agree with the OP, Caithe should stop being talked to like that. But I do have to say, when the Commander wanted Caithe to guard Aurene, and when the Commander said that Caithe “had been a lot of things, but was never an enemy of this dragon”, it gave me hope that the snooty diologues toward her might finally start to be over with. Caithe even said that she was confused the whole time, she didn’t know who to trust. And that one HoT story instance where Caithe was running with the egg on her back and Faolain vinewraith popped up, she didn’t give the egg to her, she said no, and I think everyone should be more understanding, and have BOTH sides of the story in mind.

I am leveling up my Mesmer now, I was just wondering if anyone could link 3 pve builds. One open world build with core Mesmer, one open world chronomancer, and the last one the highest dps cronomancer build. I want to get know the Mesmer class before I start to use the max dps builds for dungeons,fractals,etc, so that’s why I asked for the openworld builds also.
p.s. all builds need to be power.

Engi weapons are not meant to do damage like other other classes weapons, engi’s are meant to use their kits as well, which leads to different skills that boost your dps.

My most disliked LS boss is Saboteur Aerin, I absolutely HATE this boss, more then any other boss in the game.

You could try clicking on the target first, it always works for me.

Ive been trying to finish collection 1 for the Predator, but can’t because of this bug.

I have played condi and power on my necro, but I just like power more. Power necro is very fun to play, but it seems like everyone is telling me to go condi or go home.

Dungeons are still very fun to do, but lately I have been finding it very hard to get enough people to do them.

If Dwarves were brought in as a playable race, do you know how many people would start playing axe/axe warrior(me included)? Just because of The Hobbit/LOTR.

They mostly give trash and thangs, but but but, there is a really small chance at getting a mysterious rock(atleast I think that’s what its called), and thet are insanely expensive on the tp.(atleast that’s what ive seen from that other forum that was posted before.)
