I dont think they will do anything about it and yes I agree with you they dont care.
Just look at the sad state of affairs the game is in.
Economically few hold rest hostage.
PVE is fractal dungeon 24/7 best loot-gear-gph. Open world dead and 0 loot.
Spvp – done like dinner
WvW — dead except T1 and EB on other tiers.Yes a few people controlling the top end market is just fine with anet- Just please buy some gems to get that item. Cant wait for them to start adding +1 to the stats.
You Sir are 100% right! though i gotta admit that I still keep logging in sayin that with an alleged onlinetime of over 1,2k hours ingame. ive been watching the game since headstart and with those betas even before, but the game’s state from release and even now is still a horrible experiences in too many issues.. even my hope for the game will die sometime..
and considering anet’s bad communty moderation and them bringing out solemn news about upcomming “features” like the fractal reconnect fix within 2months, the hushed up dealing with precursor and even justifying this current game state is hypocrite and ridiculous.. to quote anet itself “its done when its done” whoever told this was definitely done!
now theyre talkin about minor bug fixes in january, and an eventual upcomin content patch in march 2013 thatll then add nothing new but instead shell fix the game how it should have been from day one like a workingt non crazy rng world?? yeah hats off for that… gw2 sadly is paytoplay beta when only superficial features are kinda polished
amd phenom II x4 965
amd 7870oc
4gb 1333
cpu performance maesurings all tell that gw2 mainly runs on one core (still ! first few beta weekends, the game provided only single cpu support!), what did i buy those other 3 for?
every game even the most ridiculous demanding ones run extremely well maxed out, but with guild wars2 i keep gettin around 10-20fps in busy ares like lions arch or even less at wvwvw battles, due to guild war’s cpu limitation.. can you pls start optimizing your game on the hardware scale as well ? the artstyle is magnificent but its not like i’m playing a crysis6 here for the amount of performance needed xD

maybe it was meant like up to 8hits with multiple enemies, i dunno
but anet should really look into all of the tooltips from the mesmer !!, eg. illusionary warden is supposed to do 70dmg at lvl 80, 3months since launch has passed and still unfixed at all, this is just ridiculous
back items take my bank and twink’s inventory space away, i don’t wanna sell them for plus 10copper at the tradepost for making loss at the end… it is surely not intentended and they’re just too lazy to answer and fix it…
pls get this fixxed, i do regularly dungeon runs and have gotten whilst about 8 back items that are taking my bank space away due to being uniquely unsalvagable
Today i made daily fractal10 and was rewarded with a destroyer core, one rare unnamed weapon, magi’s ring also rare, and magi’s spineguard by the final chest from the jade maw.
while all rares were salvagable and valuable, the rare magi’s spineguard back item wasn’t salvagable and just cheap junk, this might be due to the newly adding of back items as drops but also adopting it’s former item behaviour as a story only or a karma only reward which are generally not salvagable as far as i know.
there are several other topics about that already but you still haven’t noticed as it appears.
anet pls fix it if you see this!
This is why I haven’t played in a week.
This thread in itself is proof something is wrong.
After playing MMOs for 15 years this is the first time I’ve seen an issue like this being handled so badly. It’s also one of the very few instances of loot drops being one of the biggest issues in a game that requires loot drops.
Back to Fallout 3. Odd that I’m having more fun on a game I’ve beaten before. Maybe GW2 finally killed MMOs for me and I can have a life again.
Indeed. I once loved mmos , especially gw 1 , I paid anet more than 150€ in total (‘o.O) for their addons etc, though gw has really disappointed me with their newest product… the idea of having a role playing game in a multiplayer based world sounds great like a mmo should constitute, but sadly most mmo are all the same and just boring, repetetive and grindy. gw couldn’t rework anything of the classic mmo standards… it’s ridiculous for what they have announced earlier…. replayable zones- no? same loots for everybody- no? massive rng system integrated deep down in the heart of the game- yes! quantitive content- no? bugs – yes! differing wealth within players through wasted economy – yes! what were they once saying with “it’s done when it’s done” <— biggest joke ever, instead they’re not fixing their game’s issues and prioritize hurling alleged new “content”, like it was the case with recently added but by far most empty and saddest zone from the game: southern cove or whats up with those those two other holiday events i wont even start talking about..
sadly gw2 is one of those korean, grind games telling this after 1000+hours of playtime since release. if you spend your time in this game you’ll from what it suffers: from a release that was made far too early cause it was thrown 3/4 finished to the market…
it might really be the better solution to quit mmos and return in 10years when developers returned to creativity and honesty.. before all im disappointed with arenanet and their way of communitcating with us, the players and kind of rejecting to fix their game how it is supposed to be.. instead i guess there a bunch of totally silly lead designer making this game bader than it needs to be.
edit: ridicously how the moderator “Stephane Lo Presti” seems to be suprised about strange loot behaviour, i love this hypocrisy, loled hard when i read the first answer on the new topic.. veterans and champions do drop loot? never xd

correct me if i’m wrong but in the beginning i think all accessoires were bugged and not salvagable, then anet fixed it making amulet and rings salvagable, later on earrings and now backpacks are still bugged. not even long ago they reworked dungeon loots and added rare backpieces since till then there had been none lvl80 backpieces except those from story and now its bugged. anet pls fix your game rather than adding new content!
did some fractals which are extremely rng and not really worthy compared to normal dungeons gold rewards except this ascend stuff i dont care about, though from time to time a got a rare backpiece and then what? nope it wasn’t even salvagable though backpiece recipes also need ectoplasm of course

It was difficult but I did it: http://imgur.com/a/2o4vy
hehe nice one
didnt know, there was a serious topic that hasnt been deleted out there ;-)
sadly, i can totally feel what 95% of you are saying and youre right, its totally messed up, me myself played over 800 hours, too.
today i was running 2 paths cof and one ac, and it dropped several yellows in the group and i even got one exotic, one rare, and a molten core…
did they ninja patch the loottables a bit? i would love to finally hear a developer response in this thread
(edited by ErikxRod.4832)
i also noticed it because i got a rare back drop, i simply can agree with the op since back drops are really rare and don’t deserve such low prices as 3silver
while sigils arent salvagable too, i think back pieces should at least be salvagable for ectos
ok, so here’s the deal:
even if they DOUBLED the chance of getting a precursor, which i don’t assume honestly, the prices of rares have DOUBLED as well as exotics, the price of the precursors would be of course the same!
so in other words: if they didn’t increase the chance for more than 100%-150% percent you would barley see any price changes at all, the chance would be still minimal and the money you put in much.
:-)
take starlinks advice pls
I’m in dudes added
