I knew there used to be a way so u could get onto the top of that lighthouse by using the jumping puzzle (prof portmatt’s lab)

did they change that?? I can’t find the code on the wiki anymore… And it’s kinda stupid.. i loved that u could get onto that lighthouse, it was kinda funny to send friends to there saying “i have something awesome, check this out!” :P

About Elixir R. Am i realy the only one who thinks that the utility (read, not tool belt skill) is plain useless. The stun breaker was awesome, the same for the endurance gain. Now it is only endurance AND it has half a second casting time! Come on… Before it was quickly hitting it and get your dodge off in time. Now u need to “predict” when u will need your dodge and use it. Realy… It’s a shame. The only reason i have it now is because the reviving pulse to revive team mates. The stunbreaker and instant endurance gain WAS interesting… But now…

Now, we can apply almost every condition (only fear is not part of it).
After this patch, a whole now so hard wanted (read, never cared for) condition is put into the game and as far as it says only necro’s, thiefs and mesmers get it.

Sigh… Back to the drawing board i geus to find something new we shine in?

I don’t play engineer but I see the problem. All the kits and stuff engineers have should be different when you equip a legendary weapon. Maybe some are already?

Also I personally wouldn’t even make a legendary for an engineer because:
The Predator – clearly made for warriors, it has a scope, engineers shoot from hip
The Flameseeker Prophecies – cool shield, but whoever made this had a guardian in mind
Quip – a joke

I’m going for a legendary now to just because i like the looks of the predator (+i want a completed login screen..)

only thin i realy hate is that the only full ranged thing engineers have are grenades and pistol (and not pistol/pistol).
And don’t tell us that the rifle is long range cause realy… 4/5 are close ranged. This is the “shotgun way” of using a rifle.

Cmon… Why give engineers a shotgun play style while giving warriors a sniper way of living? Warriors are Heavy armor, highest HP. And what do they get : Bam! Long ranged sniper setup and kiting possibility (knock back on 5, and cripple)

You would expect a warrior to go shotgun playstyle…

Only reason i hate going for the predator is that i’m using a sniper rifle as a shotgun. And only my 1 skill has the animation on it.
For the time i’m in my Rifle… Cause i tend to be a kit using engineer and i discuss, realy, i hate grenades. Used it for a long time and the only thing i can say is that the 1 button on my razer naga has weared of and my thumb has some weird looking button mark in it….

Right now i’m starting to use the Rocket boots skill for the toolmbelt skill (rocket kick) Coupled with the static discharge for some nice condition damage and toolbelt damage.

Now, i tend to use rocket boots as a stun breaker to get away from a nasty situation

Why do i want to use a stun breaker wich flings me trough intergalactic space right into the arms of master togo to only see myself being surrounded by 5 enemies because i still need to recover from the blast?

I mean, i can imagine that u wanna recover from a blast so big, but cmon… realy? The way it is now it’s more as a “Hey! i know something! Some lil bit of thi*BOOM*” ah shi…

It looks clumsy and it doesn’t help at al… Why hasn’t this been changed yet?

Same for rifle tbh.. The knockback is nice, coupled with the condi remove (love it tbh) but having a cooldown on ur skills (even if it’s very low, like 1.5) it’s still a lot…

Why are we so clumsy when we should be the brains of tyria!

I told him that, and he was suprised for the fast reaction. only like 2-3h after he submitted it. Geus he did a good job on his title like Anet says u should do.
Only problem he has now is that he can’t instal the game and gets an error-code. Ah well. Thanks for the help anyway guys ^^

So the problem i this.

A friend of my wants to join this weekend for the free gw2 weekend thingy. A while back i invited him for the friend weekend thing and he was able to make an account. But he wasn’t able to download gw2 itself. He just let it go but now wants to try another time and ofcourse… He forgot is password.

He wants to recover it but doesn’t know a character name cause he never made one (obviously, he couldn’t instal the game and play it).

So the qeustion is : How can my friend recover and change his account password while he was never able to make a character (wich u need to specify when u lost your password)

yup, with the kit refinement nerf we now need to constantly think about when it’s recharged. we needed to do that to in the past, but atleast we could make a simple healing area around us (equip EG), and then make a cripling and bleeding field for everyone who passes it.

And why would i do that? we need to be in our healing field the whole duration to have a decent amount of healing, and when some guy tries to melee u, u can kite him around that healing field with a bit of practice and skill.
Now… nah, done for. Why would i even want to take kit refinement if it only focusses on one kit? i know it doesn’t but indirectly it does. When the fight gets to tough it was easy to pop EG, get a little bit of healing, pop super elixer again for another bit of healing, and then the toolkit to run away while leaving others crippled, now its like that dredge guy would say in SE : NONONOOONONONONO

I like the buffs on flamethrower to increase the damage and such. But why the hell nerf something like kit refinement? Engineers are constantly swapping kits (and they should, having a wide range of skills) the extra spell u got from swapping kits was something to take into account, now it makes it even more complex by adding an internal cooldown.

Every time patch i hope for bug fixes and everytime we get a big fishslap in the face. It’s tiresome to see alot of people go like : ow… ur an engi? sorry… We’d rather take that lvl 30 warrior cause he is far more usefull.

Alot of us got the point now, we are the joke class. One with references to TF2 (engi, using heal turret and "Dispensers up, healing turrets with ur toolkit). The pyro (with the Flamethrower and air blast) and maybe even Captain America with ur shield (reflect and throw)

Well, if that’s the case. Atleast make us as usefull as those tf2 engi’s. If the other team had an engi bunker nest, ur done for unless u focus fire with ur hole team on that 1 little sentry. Now even a jagged horror is like : LOL NOPE, GG turret.
A pyro was something u don’t want to close to your face. Something that is kinda achieved
But then captain america? Its more like captain amurrica….

also, u might wanna change your toughts over the engineer.. “keeping alive allies with their boons”. A guardian does a better job, has more damage output and is tankier.

We are a couple of friends (6-8 guys) looking for a guild on desolation for PvX activities. We mainly do fractals and dungeons, but also enjoy WvW and PvP.
As we are all dutch a couple of us prefer to be in a dutch guild. But it’s not required :P.
If the guild has a teamspeak server it would be nice to.

So ehm… post away ur guilds and info and if there are any qeustions we’ll awnser them hopefully :P.

Dear Arenanet.

First of all : thanks for this opportunity so my friend can see this awesome game!

Now, 1 of my friends has a problem trying to conect to the server. He was able to download the launcher 2 days ago i think (as soon as it was available). When he opens it he just gets the error : conection failed! please check your internet connection and try again.
He knows it’s not because of his internet itself because he is able to log on into facebook, watch youtube vids and other things :P.

It seems that the explosive shot skill only bleeds your target (or when using coated bullets, the targets u effectivly ‘hit’ with your bullet) and not the targets around. like the tooltip says (fire a shot that explodes on impact, bleeding nearby foes).

Also explosive related traits don’t work (sharpshooter for example)
