Guild Wars 2

Getting this on my female human character I started a few days ago, pretty much every cutscene so far has at least one line with missing voice over, its not entirely random as when you log out of a mission to restart it the same lines will remain silent, for example the very first line from Doern Velazquez and later Trahearne’s in the Reconnaissance mission.

Your character’s lines are fine however its just everyone else.

I’ve tried various in-game sound options to see if that helps but no changes, even tried it in french and it still happens.

Heres my golden goddess, mostly complete except I’m thinking of getting Infinite Light but thats expensive lol the flaming sword will do done enough farming as is for now.

Just got my set and didn’t spend a penny on Gem conversion just took a long time to farm the cash especially after farming for the legendary shield :O

So this has been bugging me a lot lately, so for example the Statue of Dwayna just keeps on sliding into the corners when melee get to close and the mob keeps moving backwards into place that the poor ranged can’t hit because of an LoS issue.

This is usually caused by gap closers like Leap attack and in my case flashing blade which blink far to close to the mobs and causing them to adjust position, which in turn causes players to move closer for melee range and then causes a chain reaction making them seem to slide all over the place.

Another example is the Champion instigator in southsun, granted if it moves to far from its starting position it teleport’s back.

Problem is I’m getting tired of chasing a mob around while in melee, especially when I’m tanking the mobs (which is almost always the case as a guardian) that I just say to myself sod it I’m just gonna range it with my scepter. I also feel bad for players using ground target aoe spells like Lava font.

I can think of three ways to fix this issue, one is to adjust leap/blink skills to not leap/blink on top of mobs but just in the furthest away point in a mobkitten box.

Increasing the melee range would also help, some mobs keep moving like Ettin’s yet you can still hit them when out of range, but only if you spam 1 as auto attacks won’t work adjusting the range would stop that from happening, however this would not stop players from always trying to be as close as possible unfortunately.

The best option i can think of is locking the Champions and Legendary mobs position to the one with the aggro, I can even live with flashing blade moving me to close because I know I have to back peddle slightly after using it to make sure it doesn’t move, which is great when you have ranged players as back up, but as soon as another melee jumps in it will also adjust to that player as well.

Also as a side note, for the love of Dwayna adjust Rangers aggro tables so their mere presence doesn’t cause them to gain aggro and me having to perma chase mobs all over the place…..

As a Guardian I refuse to use the staff as I can’t stand the spam sound of the auto attack and just gives me a headache , Zealot’s Fury has a similar annoying sound effect to is as well and whats worse is it doesn’t even line up with the attack it self and seems like it doesn’t even belong.

The scepter used to annoy me as well but lowering the effects volume helps to the point I don’t notice it as much now, however lowing the effects doesn’t help with the ones that still annoy me as they are a lot more bass to them.

Also “For Great Justice” can go do one, why is it the only shout I hear other than my own guardian shouts, especially considering the amount of warriors that use it is ridiculous.

The dogs (the War Beast’s) in the Harathi Hinterlands Meta up in the Modniir Gorge seems a bit buggy as well its just constant loud noise coming from lord knows where.

Sound is extremely important to me and Guild Wars 2 is one of the best games sound wise for me( especially when you wander around and sound changes depending on the environment or where your standing relative to where the sounds coming from) , its just let down by a few issues.

Welcoming to new or old players, don’t like to speed run and feel rushed all the time? neither do we, we play to enjoy the game and each others company, we get enough of that nonsense at work.

This had me thinking I was crazy, the guys on TS with me thought I was just seeing things because of all the raw candy corn nodes I farmed and in the end getting annoyed at seeing lol

Don’t know if its just me but the ambiance in Lions arch is still using the Halloween sound files and with no music, its just weird, however when going into buildings like the Trading post and Bank it music works as normal.

Was in two minds on whether or not to post this in this forum but as its less of a bug and more of a “needs to be switched as you missed a bit” audio issue, I posted it here.

I believe I had the Trick or Treat bags completed before it was increased and its the only one I recall not updating it, but tbh I only noticed the error after doing all the mad kings world achievement.

3/5 as well. (why do these weird bugs always happen to me?…)

We’ve also progressed through most of the content of any MMORPG we’ve played and have a keen interest in casually progressing through the content here on Gandara

Pyran would like to add a few more adult (not necessarily ’’mature’’) players to our growing player base. Due to the nature of our repulsive guild chat, we deem ourselves ’’unsuitable’’ for anyone under the age of eighteen, our average player age is around 25-35.

We understand that the internets is srs bizniz and we’re looking for skilled players of all professions and level ranges, ‘’elitists without the attitude’’, but also who are social, laid back and up for some fun.

We’re a voice-chat based guild, so we encourage members to log on to Teamspeak as often as possible, even if just for a chat. Our ability to communicate via voice comms is essential for participation in any guild events, and just generally having a bit of a laugh

We don’t tolerate unfair game play which involves exploits or other forms of cheating. Any member caught exploiting is likely to be severely disciplined or kicked.

Our most common events time, mid-week begins usually between 8-9pm, because that’s when most of us are online, leaving you enough time to get home from work, shower, eat, and spend some time with ‘’the missus’’ or ’’mister’’. Weekends are a bit more relaxed with events organized ‘’as and when’’… allowing for drinking/pub time. Guild Meetings are also planned regularly.

Our overall aim in the guild here on Gandara is to get drunk, have fun and progress through the content – both PVE and PVP – casually. Not only do we play Guild Wars 2 but other games, leagues and tournaments as well. So if you’re looking for a hardcore Min/maxing elitist guild, we probably aren’t the right choice. The op wasn’t talking about sexualizing them just that some of the armor doesn’t work with the female face and suggested that some of the armor used for the females be given to the female asura… how is that sexualizing.

I don’t have a problem with the armor being Male skins on the whole, there are just one or two sets that look wrong, considering how child like they are, giving them skirts, chain bra’s and other frilly things also don’t work on female Asura because of the size and lack of features.

Making a separate skin for female Asura or Charr would be great for those sets but extremely unlikely.

“Asura don’t care about such trivial stuff like clothes. They prefer comfort and effectiveness over general appearance.” Says who? You only have to look at hair styles and my fabulous ribbons, or those fancy headdresses some of the female NPC’s wear
Speaking of Npc’s you can immediately tell the males and females apart, the only ones truly effected by this are the Asura players with the helmets showing. I will need a source If I’m to believe whats being said is true.
“Asexuality” not from what I’ve seen, plenty of kids everywhere, there’s also a part in the personal story with 2 Asura clearly attracted to each other in a very human way, but wont do anything while in the situation they are apart of, even some of the dialogue around the world and from the charm responses are flirty.

Anyway this is what I’m wearing currently and I’m totally fine with it.

The Asura Cultural tier 3 Weapons are a pretty good size on Asura characters just got the hammer

Still does it, taking race into account just makes it lower for Asura and you cant even zoom out anymore, doubly annoying if your in a party full of Norn and Charr and their right on top of you….

Check the second tab on the vendors, what your seeing is the basic dungeon sets that all the dungeons have, these are cheap level appropriate gear for that dungeon.

The second tab houses the unique exotic sets and start as early as level 60 for the Ascalon Catacombs sets.

As I said on the whole its not bad its just some male armors look wrong on females, the screenshot was just one example, I can’t remember if that was the gladiator or the barbaric set but the other one is even worse.

I agree that they shouldn’t wear skimpy outfits and and “Corsets” that’s just not in there nature and giving them breasts would look totally weird, but a bit of dignity on some of these armor skins wouldn’t go amiss.

They are pretty useful early on for Guardians at least, not a fan of Renewed Focus (although the only elite available underwater) and the only useful tome is the 30 skill point elite and even that’s for emergencies.

My biggest gripe playing an Asura female atm is the armor skins, why oh why are they the male armor skins.
Yes yes I know they have no breasts, but its is kinda disturbing.

On the whole it’s not to much of a big deal until I came across this skin.

Its a bit disappointing that the only way to tell if an Asura is male or female is if they don’t show the helm.

Happening to me as well had a bunch of items for sale over night, the only money I received in the pick up tab was stuff I presume was sold before the new build anything after has not appeared in the pick up tab.

Just put some gems on the TP and they did sell according to the transactions tab but again nothing in the pick up tab and I also can seem to buy anything right now either.
