How long will it take for them to add new elite specialization? Does it have to be on another expansion? I ask because game kinda feels repetitive and no longer exciting
I had to replace my mouse 3 times because of this game.. Right click issue most of the time. action screen maybe a slight help to this
idk if this is what your asking for. i tried it on the preview with option; weapon only but the string does not show for some reason
imo, it is wise to do auric basin multi map after doing dailies since this is a great if not the current best way to earn mats and gold. Do this at least once a day to net you loads of income vs time.
Bloodstone Fen is my 2nd favorite place to hang around. The ascended trinkets sold for bloodstone rubies is almost on par with legendary tier giving you the ability to change its stats for a hundred unbound magic as far as I could remember.
T4 fractals is also decent if a player is able to group with decent players so long as they know what they are doing.
WvW for fun.
I miss the old kitten marjory when she was first introduced as a detective of some sort.
Im planning to delete mine too but..the sigils.. Makes it hard for me to decide
This is almost like playing FFXIV on the PS VIta via remote play with a PS4. Players enjoy it while crafting and/or doing dungeons.
The idea would be great and awesome!
If i remember correctly, this was implemented the same time they did with sick’em.. Maybe 2 years ago?
Pow build ranger/druid for the lazy pew pew
Empyrial fragments has been my slot problem for as long as i could remember. not being able to get wintersday achievement is a pain.. Still hoping.
Nodes bundle please.. Missed it the last time. It would be nice if you could somehow include instant home portal as a bundle. My wallet is yours!
Solution for this would be to fix/rework shortbow so that players would be able to respec towards a hunter/archer profession and not “force” us to spec as a support class.
Been a pow ranger since day 1 using longbow(melee on switch). When fractal came out, made it all the way to fractal 34. I stopped playing for almost 2 years.
decided to play again 2 months ago and still rolled a new and improved power build ranger(with druid spec). Made it all the way to fractal 92 and was able to finish my legendary back. This was all done as a pugger w/o help from friend or guildmates
A player once told me while inside t4 fractal: number 1 rule! either you run a zerk build or gtfo.
I understood his point since most players would rather aim towards time and effeciency.
Overall, power build is still decent if not great imho. Was that before you quit or after you came back? It used to be that condi’s were capped and zerk was the only way to go, but that changed a while ago.
Exactly right, condi’s are king in high fractals because mobs have such high health and toughness it’s a pain to down them with power builds. It can be done, it’s just a lot slower.
Condi ranger feels so… Very limited in terms of access to condition imo. Would rather roll necro for the condi but thats me. I have nothing against condi ranger since ive never tried 1.
Try to focus on getting both while setting the jaggernaut as your number 1 priority priority imo
Im probably close to where you are right now and this what i did:
-finished HoT story(not the achievements)
-finished everything on bloodstoon fen and continuosly grinding for exp
-went to dragon stand and searched for a meta squad while getting all achievements
-searched for a guide in gaining mastery points from site, strongbox and diving.
Id probably start doing meta events on verdant brink, auric basin, and tangled depth if i would need more.
Dont like doing adventures.
Its probably bloodstone fen. Stayed there for quite a while and earned 50g while selling rare items. This is excluding materials from gathering and salvage

Alright, thanks for the heads up guys! Guess this means doing t4 daily fractal is more important.
If i remember correctly, you only need to salvage 3 ascended armors/weapons. Other gifts would only require you to do a certain task which is quite easy given that you have 14 × 4 days to do it. Another thing that you probably have to consider would be fractal relics for the 150 AR and the 1st ascended/fractal back(forgot the name). Good luck!
Dont know if this has been asked but, is there other use for this once i am done with the legendary back?
Another question that i would like to add towards my 1st question: is it still worth the time doing daily recommended fractals if i do not need the fractal page?
Please make this happen, but w/o the bundle of copper-fed
Mhmm.. No luck on short bow
Thanks for sharing man!
What else is there aside from mining pick?
Almost all of them are great(PvE wise). It should be learned by experience and make sure to pay attention at its health pool.. Just dont let it die and hit that f4 or f3 button wisely.
most fun? it has to be the ranger. also the best option for beginners.
i dont believe that there is such thing as most boring class but to answer your question, in my own opinion, it is probably the necromancer
You can never go wrong with zerk build almost on any class if im not mistaken
It sucks and doesn’t/never deserve to be in the grandmaster tier in the first place. They keep adjusting this trait bit by bit but still useless.
Is there a website that could provide us a list of unique armors that could only be obtained via story?
Well played man. Congratulations!
Trahurts… Or was it trahearne or something

If you have autoattack turned off, you can actually get 4 consecutive leaps out of sword if you want to disengage.
- The third autoattack skill (Pounce – leaping cat icon) has a 430 range leap on it. If you click the ground to lose your target just before pushing ‘1’ on this skill, you leap forward. (There’s a hotkey you can make to lose the target, but someone will have to remind me since I don’t remember it.)
- The autoattack then rolls back to the first skill (Slash – curved blade icon). Slash normally doesn’t have a leap. But if Pounce doesn’t hit a target (there is nothing to hit at the end of the previous leap) and you hit ‘1’ again immediately after, Slash will do another ~400 range leap forward.
- Then you spin around 180 degrees (can bind this to a hotkey in the options), and hit ‘2’ for another 400 range leap (backwards).
- Then you spin around 180 degrees, and hit ‘2’ again for another 600 range leap (forward).
Altogether, in a couple seconds you’ll put 1800 units distance between you and your initial target. If your alternate weapon is GS, that’s just gravy. You can swap (gaining swiftness if you have at least 5 Skirmishing) and use Swoop for another ~1450 range (with swiftness) leap.
Yeah, those are skills that makes ranger move like a super saiyan from dragon ball.
This is my most favorite trait line for ranger, however some of the traits provided doesn’t seem right or weren’t supposed to be there in the first place.
I’ve read topic about:
Signet of Beast Master requisition to be removed
Spotter should be in a different trait line
Piercing arrow should at least be passive
Eagle eye should at least be passive
What about remorseless and beast master’s might?
Would love to read other players thought or opinion about this..
It’s one of our best tool for escaping. Also goes well with lightning reflex. Try it out..!
And for that main reason, how i wish we had at least, one trait line that doesn’t involved pet. Doesn’t matter what trait line it is for as long as it doesn’t give a kitten about pet. When i say trait line means from minor to grandmaster
And i thought they had a plan that they’re going to sell glowing dyes soon.
New fractal stages just means new or more ways for pet to die…
You have to figure out a way to keep your distance and practice more on how to kite your opponent. You have all the tools in order to do so and learn it by experience.
Please also include duel at the leaderboards..
lol
If you don’t like the trait don’t use it. I for one use it. we are not other classes trying to compare traits on a one for one bases doesn’t give a true picture.
True. Doesn’t change the fact that having to invest 30 points into a traitline to get the benefits of active effects of signets sucks.
Or the fact that we need 30 to make traps useful.
Or 30 to make spirits useful.
Or 30 to make guard useful.
Atleast survival skills don’t need to be traited.
Or the fact that we are required to invest 30 on precision for the sake of being a better trapper. (Does trap need crits?)
Back to topic… Yeah! I agree. Signet of the beastmaster is pure BS. I’ve noticed that, out of all the utility a ranger has, signets is somehow the best choice in terms of flexibility. I wont say that the other utility skills that we have sucks but in end signets would still be our safest choice.
Honestly, im having a hard time letting of “signet of the hunt” and it’ll be more hard for me to let go of it once they nerf natural vigor
Bring all weapons. Bring food. Bring sufficient AR.
Forget all the only full zerker, must use a sword despite the suicide animation, must use spotter, etc. That stuff that does work well for elite speed runners in well organized groups. It might work for you but you can use all the tools in the bag for fractals and most PUG groups will be happier if you stay alive than risk all in search of dps, especially if they struggle to stay alive themselves. Any zerker flavored build is fine to start with. PUGs will typically kick you if you don’t have experience, don’t have sufficient AR, right away when you join, or if you’re a second ranger, so anything competent is generally still ok.
A lot of the boss difficulty is essentially dodging and you can do that on any class. It’s easier to learn the dodges when you don’t have to manage the sword as well. Specific utilities come into play in different fractals and you really just need to see the fractals and work out what to do. They are all different. Traps for instance are very useful in specific fights, and only those fights. You will also need to learn some of the tactics that groups use and play to those, particularly when it comes to controlling the position and movement of mobs (where rangers can foul up badly).
Quite impressive. You really did your homework. This is by far the best suggestion i’ve read. Kudos to you
I’ll be running as zerk as possible (trinkets and weapons at a minimum) with 20-30 points in nature magic for frost spirit, stone spirit and guard or signet of the wild. If I went through every fractal I’d use each weapon except mainhand axe, torch and dagger.
20-20-0-30-0 traits.
You should have exotic gear if you are higher than fractals level 10.
Bring a: Longbow, shortbow, greatsword, sword, warhorn and axe. It’s very easy to not get kicked: when the other players are all meleeing in a stack, pull out greatsword and hack away.
Wold you recommend greatsword better than a sword(1hand)?
Condition damage is a wasted stat in PvE. Too often bosses get capped with different conditions and leave you sitting there with your subpar direct damage. For soloing stuff conditions are acceptable but running with a group they are more of a burden.
It would still depend on what type of builds other member has but i agree with you on that condition being a waste.
Its all good.
was hoping somebody knew about this already since it doesnt say on wiki. You’re right. Guess im gonna have to try it out for my self. Thanks anyway
If you’re puging I wish you luck, but you’ll almost without a doubt be pidgeon holed into frost spirit + spotter and sword/warhorn
You got that right.
guess that leaves me with no choice but to stick with my support tools.
I run a rampager armor+madking runes + celestial weapons and trinkets build for PvE as ranger , and even though my DPS is not the maximum i manage ok with my group .
20 10 30 10 0 trait distribution , with keen edge , spotter , sharpened edges , vigorous renewal , off hand training , bark skin and vigorous spirits .
Sword + horn and axe +torch (mostly for fire field and some added AOE ) . Healing spring , frost and stone spirit , Signet of the Wild , Elite spirit .
As for pets it is either dual drakes for AOE and blast finishers or dual spiders if thats the sort of boss or its harpies .
When on maw i switch out my spirits for zephyr , sick em and sharpened stones , and my pets to dual cats
Love the idea of your build and believe me when i say i would love to try out different types of build but it wouldnt feel like high level fractals is the right place for trials. For so long i’ve noticed that most of the groups would rather have someone with zerk gears. For now i cant say anything about this or what anet is planning to do in terms of changes to FOTM.
Im aware that your build is quite flexible but im not that impress with the trait distribution together with the utility skills of choice. Are you trying to focus more on support and condition or something?
I was thinking that maybe it would be the same thing with movement speed increase not stacking. Thank you very much xaylin.
Glad to hear that. Thank you
Does the food under special effect category that provides 10-40% endurance regeneration stack with natural vigor?
Sorry if ever that this isn’t the right place to post this..
Appreciate the tips everyone have provided and thank you very much for those info.
I would also like to ask for more advice regarding on how to survive higher level fractals such as moss backstab or whatever it is that wrecks havoc specially to those with high damage but low on toughness. I am somehow aware that dodging is the key to success but would be very enlightened if there are other few ways to survive depending on any scenario.
Is staying on range on fractal a bad thing or not?
Sorry for bad english
