Guild Wars 2

As my title nods to, will there be a boxed collectors editon of this expansion as there was with Guild Wars 2 vanilla? Will it include a new statue or contain a art book. If so…hold up cash…take my money.

As the title states, how do I fix this problem? I made sure my drivers were updated and even did a -repair with the launcher. Is there another thing I can try? Game has been this way since September update. Please help.

The first place I went to was the place I called home in LA: the old lighthouse. I remember sitting at the top looking out to the sea as i was still able to get in withiut the bridge and enjoying the merrymaking of the city as I walked through it. But now… all there is now is sorrow and dread. We thought we were safe, but we were wrong. As I made my way to my make shift home at the lighthouse, all the emotion was a little overwhelming. Then as I arrived at my destination, I’ve became saddened as my home was no more. Even though I am disheartened at what has happened as many of you are as well. We should honor the fallen and enjoy the light for as long as we can, for there is a darkness on the horizon that will bring a worse fate than the one we just experienced.

Thanks Anet for giving us this living story. Even though it had a little rocky start it came out and ended beautifully. Waiting for LS season 2.

By saying that sword needs to be in the hands of the next heir to the throne of Ascalon in order to clean out the ghost from there (Which is a legend told in the game). We need to narrow down who would be the next heir. Duke Samuelson states he is the true heir to the throne, but how is he? Aldebern was a direct descendant of King Doric due to blood line Now here’s the problem Aldebrens blood line stops with Ruirk and as far as anyone knows, the young prince had no heirs. People argue that it has to be Queen Jennah as she is of the same blood, but this wouldn’t make sense as she is not a “heir to Ascalon royalty”. Which only leaves one option, which would be Duke Barradin’s blood line.
Before you start a flame war on me, this quote is pulled from the GW1 wiki, “Duke Barradin was the next heir to the throne before Adelbern was crowned and, as such, some of his supporters were not happy when a soldier was named instead.”. With this in mind, is Duke Samuelson a direct descendant of Barradin, who was the rightful heir to the throne of Ascalon. If he is, how is he related?
Next subject is that of the sword Sohothin as it was last seen in the Ring of Fire, which brings the question of how it made it’s way back to Ascalon? Or it asks us to question whether or not that the blade Rytlock holds is really Sohothin. Too me there is still much time to recon this part of the lore to fit in with the first game at least a little bit.

Has any lore about the legendary weapons come to light yet? What makes them so special or “legendary”. The only thing that I could think of is that they originated from Orr. To me there has to be more of a story to them, than they came from a place the human gods came from. I guess what I am looking for is a reason to believe why they should be called legendary.

This sounds like something more for the suggestion forum than the lore one. Bit it does sound like an interesting idea.

I was helping my wife go through the beginning dungeon, where you first meet the bloody prince at. Well when my wife started to take damage from his Necromancer like skills, my wife decided that she was being challenged to a necro duel (just for fun). Well at this time she realized that she was actually damaging him with her marks and other attack skills with a staff and an axe/warhorn setup. She managed to actually defeat him and now the dungeon is bugged up for her as the Bloody prince will not appear anymore, when we re-enter the dungeon again. We were expecting the dungeon to restart when we left it the instance, but it did not. Picture posted shows the truth that he wasn’t entirely immune to all attacks. Now she can not get the containment achievement as he will not appear. please fix this, so she can actually do the dungeon. She promises not to kill him again.

I apologize Fang, certain squabbles have been ongoing on this forum, which is why things escalate so fast. The best answer I can give you is that it most likely will appear in new territories further north in the Shiverpeaks. It just simply isn’t in the area that the game currently has available.

Well this escalated quickly…I was just wondering if there was any lore why Anvil Rock is not in the game.

I have traveling through the shiverpeaks trying to find Anvil Rock. For those who do not know what that place is, it is where the dwarves were first created by the great dwarf. It should be in the areas that we can explore, but I can not seem to find it. Anyone know where it is or what has happened to it in lore?

Here’s a quick thought about what they can do for expansions regarding professions. A-net could implement a profession that is unique to a single race; for example, if cantha is unlocked, it can be a re-vamped ritualist or if elona is next it could be a revamped dervish profession for the human. Not sure about what can be made available for the other races at the moment. Thoughts on this idea?

Would be nice if we get a story that involved them in some way; for example, more refugees are making there way to the tyrian continent and we have to escort or fight off members of the mordant crescent as they start to arrive. Thoughts?

Still even if most of them were killed then raised or defected to avoid death. I would believe that a few would try to build up forces or look for help from other nations. Not only that, they could have possibly done what the order of Whispers did, but only be more secretive as the remaining members are being hunted by the Mordant Crescent.

Wouldn’t the Order of the Sunspears or should I say what is left of the orders members try to relocate to Tyria after Palawa Joko decimated them. That way they can try to rebuild their order to save Elona. I for one would have figured they would place a fraction of their order in other places just in case of a major attack after the events of Nightfall. Thoughts?

Dear A-net,
I know that the dervish profession from gw 1 will never return and i will accept that. All that I am asking for is if we can get a hood skin for the heavy armor classes and a scythe skin for a great sword or hammer. This way i can make my main be a descendant of my gw 1 character in the way of teachings of that older profession.

Yea, I have that sword already and it does work as an alternative, but I still would prefer an actual katana like in GW1.

Does anyone know if A-net is still working on those smart phone apps that they were talking about before the games release? I figured at least one of them would have been out by now, but what do you guys think?

I don’t know about anyone else, but I would love to see a a katana sword skin brought back into the game as either a one-handed sword or greatsword or maybe both. I mean i would have thought that one of the Canthan refugee’s that arrived in Kryta could have been a weapon-smith before their journey.
