I have preordered the ultimate edition since there was a 4k gems going with it. However, I did not received the 4k gems after the transaction, only the skins and identity repair kit. Is it supposed to only be available at release unlike the rest?

how is uk always screwed over things like these every time everywhere. even gem prices are higher when buying in GBP

HoT is not included when buying PoF but there should be a bundle for HoT + PoF

i think theres a broker bug, im seeing buy orders of 500k for gold ore, 1 million for silver ore, 500k for silver ingot

is this some ppl exploiting a bug? attempts at duping items?

edit: the buy order prices are normal, but the amount is extremely high

every other game where theres some sort of premium for ingame currency trading dictated by players, the prices are never far off gold sellers prices, so theres little incentive to go to them, but gw2… i want to buy gold, but the rate comparison is extremely off putting

Should you really be discussing a penchant for perusing gold seller prices here? I mean, I had no idea the rate was so different, because I’d rather take a sledgehammer to my computer than visit a gold seller’s virus-laden site. Nor do I consider it a good idea to buy gold illegitimately at any rate. If I could get enough gold for a permanent hair kit for 5 cents paid to a gold seller, I wouldn’t do it.

It’s like I used to tell my clients charged with shoplifting: “If I see a hundred dollar bill on someone else’s desk, it’s just a green piece of paper to me, because it isn’t mine.”

ive never bought from a gold seller in my life, in other games i look at the rates and laugh it off, in gw2… well the rate difference makes me cringe, most gold sellers give 4 times as much gold, close to 5 if you count the hidden VAT for buying gems

ppl buy from gold sellers simply for the much better rate, if the difference is little no one would risk a 3rd party

and buying from a gold seller is against anet’s rules, not the law

i would buy from them if not the the risk of gold being taken by anet
and i dont mind changing gem to gold if not for the super low rate in comparison

Anet doesn’t influence the exchange rate, players do. When players exchange gold for gems, the value of gems increases. It has been increasing overall since the game launched, gems are worth many times more than they were in the beginning.

GREAT patch overall, content was low but sooooo many improvements.

one thing is, personally i really dont want to do raids. would be nice if i can gain spirit shards without raids mastery

ok ye you need the raid ones too…
in tyria i get spirit shard icon and exp bar actually moves, in HoT its blank and 0/0 for exp

can confirm you need raid mastery done as well to receive spirit shards in HoT content

just finished twilight 1, looked at everything for 1-3, turns out you need about 10 elonian leathers, 90 deldrimor steel ingots along with god knows how much other stuff.

so im stuck between wait 3 months and craft the ingots, or buy them all and save about 100g (or less?), or just buy dusk and save myself all the trouble…

am i missing something here?

stopped playing before the hot expansion, remember doing the world bosses, daily fractal, dynamic event farm in silverwaste, and wvw slowly saving up for legendary.

is there anything new if i dont buy the expansion?

You assumed that the bag prices is 4,51 just like your excell shows, not 5,3 silver so the total is 59g.
Had you done the math right and assumed a price of 5,3 s per bag, you would have had a profit of 69g after taxes lol.

so i collected data for opening 1542 bags and i calculated my earnings.

the following are straight npc for money because on tp, after minus trading fees, you make the same as selling to npc:

lump of crystallized nugget
flask of pumpkin oil
sharpening skull
plastic fangs
nougat centers
chattering skulls

you may save them for after halloween and hoping prices go up but thats more of a reason to open bags and not sell them.

the following are for tp
pumpkin cookies are about 1s after fees.
maize balm 8s plus or minus 1 or 2 after fees.

in the picture attached i have assumed bag prices to be 5.3s and trading fees are taken in account in unit selling prices. giving a total of 69 gold for selling 1.5k bags.
while opening the bags gives 57g, with candy corn tp fees taken into account.

you can see that for a 12g difference, you gain 40k magic find, 40 candy wrappers and 3 charged quartz crystals. now i wasnt lucky enough to get one of those glowing amulets, but i’d say opening the bags is better than selling for that.

edit: if bags go back to 6s before trading fees then it’s 78g for tp.
also prices on tp for converting candy and cob has virtually no difference, maybe 10s gain depending the prices at the time.

so im d/d thief using valkyrie exotics, zerker everything else and accuracy sigil giving me 50% crit chance.
im planning on crafting ascended armor but cant decide between valkyrie and berserker.
berserker will give me about 60% crit but losing 2k-ish hp compared to valkyrie.

so last night i was playing the game fine, went to bed and this morning it starts dling the new patch. only a few mb and that finished quickly, now it’s stuck on downloading 0kb (0kb/sec).

i can only force close it using task manager, but then some gw2 game client comes up in task manager and cant even close that.

trying to run gw2 again gives me a msg about cant access local.dat. restarted laptop and moved/deleted local.dat and run gw2 again. same thing happens and it’s stuck on downloading 0kb (0kb/sec). also, when it’s stuck it’s still using cpu but no disk or network.

tried -repair, same problem

edit: theres a chance it was a norton problem cuz i deleted that and the game ran fine.
reinstalling norton now, not gonna give up antivirus for a game

i heard theres no 2 week penalty for world transfer atm, is that true?

also im in eu desolation right now, and im missing like 4 poi all seafarer’s rest locations. is it worth getting a transfer so i can get world completion?

theres one top left of ashford, just epic, all you have to do if spam f on the 3 cannons…

so i had all my heart tasks completed and 99% world completion before the patch, now i log on and it’s 300/303 and 98%.

did they add 3 new tasks or did some of my old ones “undo” themselves? anyone with the same problem found them?
