To ANET… When the game was released (many years ago), I made a complaint. The physical gamebox did NOT include Coffee coupons or something of the kind so I can spend endless nights playing this superb game. I therefore REMOVE it!
Now that my complaint is off Anet, You may continue with your wonderfull way of sending us the best update-patch-hotfix (whatever name Anet calls it, its Cool with me). Big hug to you guys, We beleive in you lol

I have tried it and its a charm. But not if you use it in 1st-person view; You wont see whats behind in a sense.
Question to those who use it—- there is a new function called ‘hold to snap ground target’ (Or something like that) added in control options menu along with a Keybind.
I need info and tips on how it works; can anyone share their thoughts and input about this function plz?

I think its just the main fact of fresh new HoT release! It(dungeon runs) will come back when the tension of playin the new stuff in HoT is done (Story part for example).

Why would you even want a Hall when your alone???
The idea of adding guild halls is to have a … call it a Friends camp to make it so that U n guildies can organize stuff (Like guild missions)! Thats what the intention is IMO and NOT a home. I just would find it dumb to have a Hall and be alone in it LOL

Well FYI, No I dont mind paying for the Xpan at that price!
Oh yeah tip for ya… No monthly-fee game, only paid its full game in 2012; which means Im paying 100$ (Plus bought few extra char slots which are completely OPTIONAL).
Rundown—- 50$ in 2012, 50$ in 2015 and I have FULL game with all its contents. No need to pay monthly or pay for extra content(I can easily name other games that does so). Forgot, unlike other games this isnt a starter edition (Like cough cough WoW) where you gotta pay More to get extra stuff and so on.

Get the point… Us Vet players had everything in-between for free; but hey, stay away from game. Im not gonna care if you cant value what Little we had to pay for this game compared to about every other grand MMO.

I wanted to personally thank Anet for taking time to listen at the anger of the fans, and that they understand the frustration it had.

Unbeleivable, Vet players should be happy that we get new content. Can I friggen remind you that NO MATTER WHICH GAME we talk about, It costs Money to create add-ons (Or expansions if prefered term). I certainly am glad to be paying Anet for a full Expansion.
Oh yeah, Reminder to Vet players who cry like babies about prices… We only had to pay once for the game(Released in 2012)- the Gemstore is Optional at best and we get full access to the game.
So Crybabies are arguing about paying 50$ in 2012 and 50$ in 2015 for a full game and an expansion???(in-between is optional) I LAUGH AT THAT.

Guys, lets not get ahead of ourselves! They could easily change features as its not even in public testing atm.

I understand your point of view. For the main story, I agree to a certain degree… I wanna keep my builds the way they are. It would be real nice if Anet could implement a sorta ‘Save build’ feature so U can just press a button click to revert your build to ur original liking.
BUT for the new story campaign(Hot), it may be better to use the new traits n specializations… We’ll just have to wait n see what they have to offer.
On my part, I cant wait to see the changes; Im the type that likes to do customization, so I hope they have new Sigils n Runes as well in their expansion

Im not really interested in Beta testing (Closed beta has been announced), But I DO wanna know when we can pre-order the Xpans. Im sure to grab it!

Does anyone know of any info on this?

Here are my 2 cents…

Pros-
1.The new Achievements makes it more rewarding for exploration/grinding if your into it.
2.New Backpack crafting is added; If you like flavor, its a good addon.
3.Minis changed to Wardrobe and easy to manage, but it doesnt change anything to gameplay though.

Cons-
1.I thought New players would get a nice experience; BUT LEVEL-UNlocking system is really pathetic. Very bad change sorry to say.
2.Veteran players has almost nothing to play with(just a few new achievements); makes it a ‘Bundle of changes’ instead of ‘Feature pack’ IMO.
3.New colors here and there(Like Commander icons), how is that supposed to be a new feature??? Its just flavor!
4.Trading post is view-changed but all in all functions the same, just need to get used to new windows n tabs.

I am not a PvP player, so I cannot comment on anything new/changed via the PvP n WvW aspects!

To begin with, I have 8 toon slots(1 for each class) and am certain that I dont wanna get another Character slot with Gem store. Some of my toons I’d have no prob to delete n create new ones in their place to get the experience of raising levels with the new Feature pack.
EXCEPT for one detail- Ima gonna lose all bag extensions bought for those deleted toons.

Thats what makes it sad choice… Lose the extra bags with the deleted toons OR forget entirely about this part of the feature pack!

I know this is a long shot, but Im going to ask anyhow- Has anyone managed to get the extra bags bought on Gemstore transfered to another toon by any chance?

Last night I experienced something I never beleived would happen—-
A group event shows up and there was a TUN of players; it just wasnt fun at all being so Many to complete the event. There was no challenge and Im a player that luvs a challenge! No challenge means no fun for me

It was nearly impossible before to make money and still a hard grind because you had to farm boring champ trains over and over zzzzz or dungeons over and over. But at least, if you needed, you could do so.

However, now you can only get one chest per day in dungeons? What a load of rubbish!

Not only are the chests daily, but the drop rates have been hammered too! Don’t see that in the notes, but it is a fact. I used to do a dungeon and come out with 3-5 rares, now I don’t get any! It’s blues all the way with the occasional green.

The loot chests have been ruined and the loot you get from said chests when they are there is just a joke.

PvE is officially kitten and worthless now. You’ve ruined the DPS, you’ve ruined the rewards, and you’ve bugged it all.

I find some details We’ll need to get used to… There’s alot of interesting things about this patch which I find is a shot in the dark (means that its something new that Anet wanna try out but have no idea what to expect of the community). The Wardrobe system is a big matter atm. Especially to PvP players would appear.
Now I completely disagree with Cash grab. This game is still fully enjoyable without paying a penny. These days, most other MMOs say they are free, but what they DONT say is that its only free for Half the game. You have to pay for lots of their other features which creates Unbalance among Paying n Non-paying players.

This feature pack has one detail that seems costly n feels like I lost alot…
The 3for1 transmutation stone convert is a high a price for my other Alts!
Here’s my rundown- I had over 30 stones(the ones where U can transmute lvl1-79 items) so that gave me a little over 10 charges. Now my Warrior(lvl 20 atm) has only those charges(which is account based) instead of over 30 personal stones for when I want to keep skins through my LeveL building. Thats a major beatdown in my opinion.
Now a question to anyone that knows the answer-
When we were using Charges(before this update), there was the nice possibility of keeping the runes/sigils as well as the skin in the process. I havent found out if we can keep the runes/sigils when transmuting now with the new wardrobe system. Has anyone figured out a way to do it? Any info will help plz

You gotta be kidding… Im gonna put my 2 cents here;
To begin with, this is a game so if your a player that hates how events are handled by a company that doesnt belong to you, then FRIGGEN LEAVE. Good riddance if you do, noone is forcing you to stay on a ‘no-monthly fee’ game.

—-Needless to say Anet, you have let us down. All your future events will be weighed out against this one. Seeing as how this was your biggest holiday event of the year, you really blew it Anet. You may not feel it now, but you have set a precedent for what to expect from you in the future.—-
WRONG, Anet decided to give a little extra on a game (again that noone forces you to do) which you dont even have to pay anything for… I was able to find some rare skins through gift drops among other things, got lotsa needed mats for mystic forge recipes with dungeon run events, at least an exotic weapon as well, and plenty of other fun.(didnt need any gems)
All of that is optional, you dont like it, then dont do it cause if your gonna be crybaby about it, I will simply Laugh at the fact that its a game, its entertaining and its a CHOICE.
So my point is… Stay n cry and get laughed upon OR leave if you dont like doin the event. Nobody is gonna miss ya!

To specify(explaining the skill), the ‘Signet of Malice’ is a heal skill for the thief which grants health for every attack as a passive ability. The active ability gives greater health boost.
Question here… Let’s suppose Im wearing armor that upgrades ‘Healing abilities’ like for example Healing stat+ (x). Does that actually work with Signet of Malice?

Its not the best approach for a thief of course, I am just curious to see if someone actually tried it. Every attack gives you health; does it give more health per attack when your equipped with armor/weapons that boosts healing stat?
If it works, it makes for a more survivability thief lol

ummm, FYI every MMO has gone through that and they are still there. And all those MMOs have the same timeline on when it occurs the most…at the time of release. The more popular a game is the more hackers will be interested. Hackers(or bot spammers, same thing) only want one thing- Your money!

Ok, here’s my personal suggestion, IGNORE them and tell everyone to do the same. There is an option to ‘block’ on your chat. All those hackers want is your money- mine, yours, the other players next to you etc. They hack accounts to spam so they jump around which is why you see them often. If noone buys their so-called ‘gold scams’ they will leave. Unfortunately, GW2 is highly popular game and its all new(month old only) so there’s still alot of gameboxes being sold in stores.
Hackers will try to sucker up to everyone for money!

Ahh Im so sorry to read that!
I do not think Anet will implememnt a rollback cause that must include everyone on a server if they are to do so. So a rollback would mean everyone on the server would get affected.
I can only tell you right now that even today I receive some nonsense titled emails(Like a confirmation of changing my pw on Steam). I delete em of course but Im certain that it must be the work of hackers.
So my best suggestion to you for the future is to change your password(make sure its a difficult one)- here’s a little trick for ya…
Write it down on a piece of paper, once its changed on your account, stick that piece of paper right next to your monitor or have it closeby on your comp desk. That way, you dont even have to remember it and noone but you can see it

I seen that spot you mention on Kessex Hill…also spotted another place today with bots!
I took SS and reported to Anet with Time n date stamp of the 2 situations. Lets remember that Anet must be very busy with all the things they need to do so I am certain it will take time for this to be resolved.
I have faith, am sure that Anet is working hard at it!

I will suggest that the best course of action for anyone is just to ignore n block those botters(and report mails). From what I heard, those are hacked accounts and they just keep jumping from account to another! I seen this happen to all the other mmo games upon release.
Eventually Anet will ‘kill em all’- it will take time so patience is required.

Those botters have only 1 intent in mind- Making money of You, Me, Everyone next to you in-game. Dont be a sucker, thats what they want.
Its understandably annoying to see all that spam floating in convo. Suggestion…If your like me n have many guildies to chat to, just go to your chat settings and switch off general chat, but leave everything else on to keep in touch with guildies! U wont see those botters

When you head to ‘Heart of the Mists’ there are 3 vendors for each type of equipment.
I am gonna refer to the weapons vendor…he sells PvP weapons and ‘Steady legendary’ purples in another tab!
Well those purples are like a ‘constant damage’ weapon but are significently alot less on damage count!!! So why would anyone wanna buy those purples?
I tried some scenarios like one example, maybe the damage is based on your actual level and not scaling but nope, etc.
It just doesnt make sense to me why those purples are there?
Thoughts anyone?

This has probably been posted many times and if so, Im posting it again cause I still see it sometimes.
When I check my emails, some come from friends on my facebook and I KNOW for certain they just dont send me emails(and after all, whats the point anyways if you can post n message on facebook itself).
I am thinking that since I got an account of Guildwars 1 & 2, its probably from a ‘Wannahackmyaccount’ hacker. I obviously didnt open the email so I cant prove it but its strange enough that its -ahem- supposed to be from a facebook friend.

So the CAREFULL topic is plainly…BE CAREFULL n SMARTER than hackers when you check your emails; they are still trying!!!

My best suggestion is to get the name you want at character creation so you dont have to go to all that trouble. Wouldnt you agree?

According to what I read on game updates, they will implement a feature that you can report ‘gold spammers’ to anet. how it will work, well Im in the same boat…have to wait n see once its out! Patience, we’r gonna be armed to deal with those situations.

I would say that, it depends on how heavy you want to use your pet. Lets not forget that the Ranger has some Signets and Shouts utility skills that help boost your pets, and not to mention your traits in Beastmaster can also boost. But if your the type of ranger that uses more combat-specifc skills, your pet wont do as much as you’d like. So for the most part, it all depends how you setup your skill build! Hope it helps
