Wouldn’t it be better if Light’s Judgement placed a Debuff on an enemy that applies the reveal periodically so that they can be constantly revealed even if they run away? (forced disengagement for stealth reliant builds) The Vulnerability can be changed to a 1 time application when the trap triggers (along with an increased duration if needed).
Also, imo, remove the cripple from fragments of faith and add it to Procession blades instead. 1 sec cripple per strike (10 hits total) would make it work extremely well with Dulled senses, since it would make it apply 10 vulnerability in rapid succession.
I have to agree with heartless, sorry guys but having to repeat it over, and over, and over, and over again…was tedious.
I do think there should be SOME snipers though, it did force us to do something different…which was good…just not as many as it was last time would be good.
yes, it is tedious. But the solution for that would be simply make it so that your character is placed automatically into verdant brink and not the story.
Making the entire encounter faceroll only makes what was tedious even more tedious (just a little faster).
But yea, I just log out and back in, lets me skip it.
I came here to make a post about this too, glad to see I’m not the only one who feels the same way. Last beta weekend it felt perfect. I was actually having to use skills I never used before, like reflects and condi clenses. And since these threats were tied to specific enemies, I knew when it was coming and felt very rewarding properly picking which to kill first.
I assume the devs are still trying to find that sweet spot for the difficulty, but this current version is way to easy. Current Personal stories are more difficult than this lol.
Definetly bring back the snipers, also it seems like the tormentors were nerfed? (3 torment a hit instead of 5). Also the champion Bosses you fight are very easy to kill.
It should be a hat, not a potion.
no, pls no.
One of the things that make it so great is that you can use it WITH a helmet.
Looks really nice with the male Phalanx heavy helm, among others.
I think you’re looking a little too much into a teaser pic.
Best to reserve judgement until Wednesday (when some stuff are hopefully revealed)
THEN go crazy
On topic: By his wording on the Guardian forum’s post I thought the write up was going to take a few more minutes, not days. Oh well, take your time Karl (or whoever), I guess.
Have to consider that it’s the weekend. Might not hear anything till Monday most likely.
Oh well, as long as we get something right? :x
The specialization update made it so that Trait lines (now known as specializations) no longer give attributes (instead your gear gives you more).
While you did not state so, I assume your thief is full zerker? If so, you will be missing Toughness, healing power condition duration, and condition damage that was provided before in the old system.
Maybe you’re just too glassy?
Also, If you plan on testing thief in spvp, make sure to use the Marauder Amulet and not berserker as well. (more vit)
That’s all I could come up with from your post ^^ GL!
I’ve recently been using Off-hand axe for condi builds.
Using Whirling axes on top of a combustion shot can stack like 10-12 burning due to its long whirl finisher.
Pretty fun to use, but I haven’t test it out seriously lol. Just PvE mobs.
Let me target hit things behind me!
W/ other professions/weapons, if an enemy is behind you and you press to attack while not moving, your character will turn around and attack. (some skills may go on short cool down and fail).
For the Dragonhunter LB though, nothing happens. You don’t turn around and you get nothing saying its failing. This makes the Longbow awkward to use when an enemy is right next to you.
I’m not liking how this is looking tbh.
“Three new legendary weapons are confirmed to be ingame once Heart of Thorns launches, with more following as the story develops.’”
Does this mean we’re not getting a ‘full’ story with HoT? are we gonna have to wait for biweekly Living story-like patches to get the the whole thing? I don’t think people are going to be happy if they feel like they bought a set of patches, and not an expansion. That’s not even to mention that some people will have to wait for the legendary of their weapon type to release. I don’t know about you, but I’d be upset if I had to wait a couple months after the initial release to start making a legendary, that I had to buy an expansion to get, because it hasn’t been released yet.
I appreciate that they’re trying to make them feel more important, but I don’t think this should be something that should be slowly gated. Legendary weapons are not something the average player tries to obtain all of, so you have to gate them to space out the play time. For a lot of people, they pick 1 or 2 and slowly try to get it. Adding more time to something they bought just to start doing it doesn’t seem like a good choice.
“Pact Commander Mastery focuses on mentoring new players and allow you to have a special icon over your head or in chat to indicate you are happy to help others. This mastery also grant you auto loot, speed boost in cities, and faster revival speed based on how many levels lower a player is from you.”
Please tell me these can be separately selected! I like the idea that you can help people out, but these must be Separate. If they are not, we will see every single person with the icon on because they just want auto loot and speed boosts and not for the ‘helping’ purposes.

we will be able to play any race, the revenant with all its core specializations and weapons. and the Dragon hunter, reaper, chronomancer, Tempest elite specs!
I don’t see having to do certain objectives/gametypes to get something this big as a bad thing.
Originally legendaries were supposed to be this awesome unique thing that people really had to work hard to get. But now everyone has one and its easy to get one considering you can just buy it off the Trading Post.
With Legendary Backpieces (and perhaps the new set of Legendaries in HoT), they will be much more difficult to attain. Seeing someone with one of these might be rarer and proof that they actually worked to get something.
I know not everyone is a fan of the ‘look at my prestige’ part of games, but not everything can be handed to players. Some things should remain difficult to attain, and be gotten certain ways. A Legendary Backpiece sounds like a good candidate for this.
Plus, if you’re actually trying to get the most out of an Ascended Stat back item that you can change the stats on, chances are that you already do fractals.
In the previous blogposts, they states that the New set of legendaries that will come in Heart of Thorns will not be tradeable. That’s what they meant by ‘new’ precursors; However, this does not effect existing precursors. The ability to gain Current precursors through the mystic forge, drop, or bought from other players will remain. In fact, that will become the only way to get multiple of the same kind, given that the collections will only give you one of each.
I’m actually really intrigued by this Warhorn, since it seems those that get 2-handed weapons (guardian, Necro) get existing Profession mechanics edited, and those that get an off-hand (Mesmer) get an extra skill (f5 shatter). I wonder how that would apply to Elementalist? a Fifth attunement sounds a bit crazy lol.
The last update restored the personal Story to its original order; however, the levels and rewards of some of the Missions were not Updated.
Chapter 8, Victory or Death, are level 80 missions, but when you start doing Against Corruption, the missions drop down to level 70 again. These missions also reward lvl 70 items. my next mission, Cathedral of Silence, is also lvl 70. I haven’t seen the further missions, but it seems that while the Order of the personal story was fixed, their rewards and levels weren’t changed. So we have missions that are lvl 80 then go back down to 70.

Is this the first shrine near the beginning? if it is,I believe this is a bug related with the pacing. if you advance to quick you skip part of Sayeh’s Dialogue, causing the next part to bug out.
Try advancing slowly, not going too far from Sayeh, and kill enemies at a distance if you can.
I think its a bit early to judge the revenant on ‘lacking damage’. They’re basically missing the (what’s speculated to be), raw damage weapons and specializations.
Its like playing an Ele that has no fire attunement.
That being said, I do feel like it is lacking a bit in other parts. Personally I feel like Staff skill 2 is useless.
Long cast time, and have to hit an opponent that is currently attacking. All that just for a bit of weakness?
I know it hits multiple targets, but honestly Hammer 2 on warrior is basically the same thing, but faster, stronger, and more weakness, even uses the same animation, just single target. I honestly feel like I put myself in more harm when using that skill, as opposed to simply auto attacking.
Holy f, revenant in all game modes.. Still no stunbreaks tho, ez bags. Im curious what gear they slap on it
One of the Invocation Traits makes swapping legends a stunbreaker. So… A stun break every ~10 seconds or so.
