Guild Wars 2

Hey guys im having a problem installing GW2 on my new Macbook. Everytime I install the game and open it afterwards, it gets stuck while downloading. Sometimes its early on and another time it gets up to around 20% downloaded. I dont really think its my internets fault as i was already trying to download the game from three different places.
The app just gets frozen and I have to force quit it.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Ive been lately trying to improve my gamestyle on guardian.
I was wondering if there are any guardian specific guides/tactics for dungeons and fractals?
I kinda mean a guide for specific spots in dungeons and what guardian should do in them. Like where to use SoR, sanctuary etc, when to pop stability even. I know it all comes down to knowledge of your class and game, but I thought that guardian related tactics guide would help me.

Hey, guys what build would be more viable to go for in these days? Does the 15th patch change anything in them?

Build will be only used to zerg around in WvW with team (no roaming).
I want to be quite durable and be able to support my team as much as i can.

So I’m about to craft my first ascended armor on thief. Thing is, that Im not sure for what stats i should go for.

I’m using my thief mostly for playing pve and afking in city (not sure if stats are important here). From PvE i’m mostly doing dungeon runs/world bosses and all living story achievements.

Right now I’m using zerker gear with few valkyrie jewels to survive more on dungeons etc. And since new WvW season starts I’m gonna start doing WvW not only on guardian, but thief as well. So, Im wondering if i should maybe continue zerker with other jewels for survive, or maybe switch armor for something else with zerker jewel?

I guess it might not be possible to choose armor for pve and wvw, especially as a thief.

I have recently come back to GW2 after 2 months break. It’s been enough to forget how to properly my thief, which i crafted and never played him too hardcore.

Now, after my comeback, I really want to make him main character along with my guardian. Thing is that I have no idea how to play him, what build to use etc. I obviously looked at websites etc for builds, but there are some many already and cant decide which one to pick. In addition to that, most of em are quite old and im not sure how useful they are at current meta.

Ive tried full dps build (25/30/0/0/15) with all zerk gear and ascended jewels, but honestly, its bad for me. Having 10k hp without defence is really not noob friendly and being one shoted by fire in dungeons is not fun at all.

So, Im asking for a build for current meta, for PvE purpose with if possible easier survival.

I do have an Aether and as far as Im concerned it has the same length as Azureflame, which is a longbow.

So I’ve got a level 80 Human Guardian, and I’ve been playing around with alts only to discover that what I really want to do is re-start my game as a Sylvari Guardian. Am I crazy? Has anyone else done this? To be perfectly honest, if there was a cash shop item to keep my level but wipe my race, I’d use it, even if it wiped my personal story.

I have exactly same situation. Im human and want to change for sylvari.

Leveling new character is not a problem, but starting everything from 0 ? Hell no. World completion, story dungeons, fractals, wvw and list goes on.

Anet could even make some money on that, because i guess many players have exactly same problems like we here.
Thing is that I dont know if anyone from developers is even checking topics like that.
Maybe we should make something like petition?

I run GW2 on computer with:
i5 3350p
4gb ram
nvidia gtx660

To be honest, I bought this PC about 2 moths ag, and I thought that it would run every game. Rift and even Metro: Last Light run smoothly without fps drops.
In Gw2 i got high settings, not ultra and still got sometimes frame drops. WvW is not playable on high settings, i have to change it to medium.

What should i improve in my PC to get more ans stable fps?

Just been in Arah with mates from guild. It appears that i had lowest amonut of hp.
Other guardian had 18k, engi had 21k, and mine was only 12k…

I feel like i should really so something about that

So what about mixing soldier and knight one? id have some power and vit and tough.

So in game, there is no something like a real tank who takes all hits and can survive. I know about dodging, but sometimes it is just not enough.
In TA dungeon, blossoms take me so much hp. Once i was there with tanky guardian – mix of tough and vit he said – and he could run around them and still live.

So should i roll for knight gear then? What about traits? As i said mostly survival and bit of dps.

I got a problem with my 80 guardian. At the moment i mostly do dungeons and world explore ( events, achievements ). I got a full zerker gear from CoF, but thing is that on all dungeons im dying from just few hits, when light armor mates still live.
I decided that now i want to focus to get a more deffensive gear, which allows me to survive much more and protect my party a bit. I checked stats on armors on wiki and Im still confused what would be better: soldier or knight.
My goal is to be moslty deffensive but be able to do some dps. So I dont really know what is more important – toughness or vitality.
Next thing are traits. I have no idea what would be best for this kind of guardian. Id like to use greatsword and shield with mace/scepter/sword.
